    Mediterranean Salad

Best pizza I had on the cape. Read the bad reviews, they even admit the pizza is excellent. A trendy and hip pizza place for adults to escape to. After being on the cape for a month, you get tired of the same old fare and food. This place was more cutting edge and would not be somewhere to take your kids to. Sure getting take out is fine. This is Neapolitan style pizza, very doughy and a little bit of a burnt crust. Some people aren't fans of this style, but it is certainly my favorite. We asked them which pizza we should get and at their suggestion they made us a half quattro formagio and half Calabria pizza. We also had their Mediterranean salad. All were very good and had amazing quality ingredients. It was also fun to watch them make the pizza right there in front of you. This is good for a small group or a date. Something fun new and hip to enjoy. Certainly the beet place we had pizza on the cape. Bottom line go if you are into Neapolitan style pizza and a trendy atmosphere.

Bottom line up front: good pizza, terrible service, smallish place Made a reservation, which is typically easy. Pizza Lab uses some Google assistant deal so we kept having to check in to see if the reservation was confirmed. Caused us to be 10-min late as it was never clear that the system worked. Parking is very limited and competes with their parent restaurant next door. Inside is interesting, filled with murals and bar style seating around food prep areas. Very few actual tables. Very crammed and tough to walk around. On the loud side too. Sat right away, wasn't terribly busy at 630 on a Saturday, but was probably 80% capacity when we left. Tough seating. We had 3 small tables for a party of seven. Was plenty of room, but no one could navigate the tables. The servers seem to always be in each other's way or some other guest crossing paths. Rough layout Drinks took 25-minutes. Two were not good, intended to be the same, but tasted nothing like the other, third drink was not enjoyed, last was a beer that the server spilled on the table... and then proceeded to try and top off. Have never been in so we had a lot of questions. We led with hard ones like what type of olive was on a salad. Waiter said he didn't know but maybe Italians ones Asked how big the pizza was and told 12" and they serve one. Asked how the wings were and which the waiter recommended, and he replied is was just up to us to what we liked. We were very pressed to order one pizza each, which was rather annoying. We ended up getting four for seven people and took 3/4 of one home. Menu is somewhat limited, which I take no exception to. I strongly believe restaurants should do fewer things and do them well. The menu was uninteresting to us. None of the salads were particularly inventive or sounded like they had high quality ingredients. Apps were linked to a few things like wings and meatballs. And there were a few non-pizza entrees. Pizzas came out quick. Tried cheese, pepperoni and a meaty one. All very good. We all really enjoyed the dough too. Had better luck getter water in the desert. And served in tiny glasses to boot. After asking several times, including if they could just leave a pitcher with us, we were told there were only two pitchers for water in the whole restaurant and that the waiter "will be more present". He wasn't. There was a plate of pizza toppings on the table with cheese, hot pepper, oil and seasoning. We asked for more than the tiny ramekin of cheese, and the waiter seemed to believe that one tablespoon of cheese should satisfy the table of seven. Waiter forgot to charge for a drink, and after presenting the check he took it back and corrected it. Kinda odd. Few desserts sounded good, but we were pretty annoyed with the service, and no manager ever presented, so we left to have dessert elsewhere. Pizza cost average $~22 so is on the expensive side, but they were good. Too expensive for take out and there are plenty of much better established places for a complete meal. Service was abysmal. It would be hard to want to go back. Three stars is a rounding error on the high side.

Margherita Pizza - so good! Watching it being made in the magnificent oven by friendly Chefs was a bonus.

Fun vibe and ambiance with decor, bar seating and open cooking area. Delicious pizza, salad, cocktails, mocktails and tiramisu dessert!

Everything about this place is appealing except the high levels of salt in the food.

Hands down, Hurricane Bob's Scallops was the winner -- 11/10! Such an original. Think scallops with bacon and herbs, but on a pizza. So good! Chicken Pesto was a close second at 10/10, followed by BBQ Chicken. I can't believe I'm putting Quattro Funghi last because it was still really good -- just a more familiar flavor without as much of the surprise factor. The crust was thin and crispy, just the way we like it. Beer and wine are a nice bonus too. Definitely coming back -- I need to try the Cape Cod pizza next!

The cape was a pizza desert filled with crappy frozen crust greek-style joints. But over the years several pizza places have opened that make some great pizzas. But Palio's still holds up, everything is home-made, and well-made: really good sauce, nice crust, quality cheese and other toppings. They're stingy on their sauce, so ask for extra sauce unless you like it on the dry side. They're usually pretty efficient too, even during the peak summer months. It's a pizza joint, so don't expect much in the way of atmosphere, but sitting outside on a warm summer evening watching the crowd with a slice and a beer is pretty sweet. Oh, and they sometimes have musicians playing, bonus!

The reason I am writing is because I actually got food poisoning which isn't surprising if they treat the food in any way similar to how they treat their customers. It was minutes until I could get up & go get my pizza. The check out girl had sold my pizza to someone else because I hadn't responded when she called out that my pizza was ready. This was wrong but not my complaint about pizza Regina. I went back this week, ordered a pizza & asked the cashier to hold onto it & not sell it because I was going to run down to return something at Dick's. She said, snottily, "we don't do that". I said "it was done to me & it happens, please just hold it til I get back". She argued with me that "it never happens". Dif girl. I said to her, "do you think I could make it up out of the blue? It happened". She said, "no it didn't". I said, "what happened to the customer is always right? All you have to say to me is 'don't worry I'll make sure it won't happen today'". She was snide, condescending & just plain mean. I came back for the pizza & she obviously told the other 3 workers because she turned back to the guy already grabbing my pizza, like he knew me, & rolled her eyes at him. All 3 guys laughed at me, to my face. What is wrong with people? My never eating there again will have no impact on their business, but I wish it would. Where is common decency.

Between the Smurf co-owner running the place into the ground and the local health investigator basically having a permanent parking spot out front, it's a wonder they're still in business. Apparently, Sarah Smith's review about the kitchen staff SPITTING in the food wasn't a warning--it was a teaser. Naturally, after I placed my order, I had the audacity to expect food within twenty minutes. Silly me. I checked in only to find out they'd gifted my meal to someone else.
