So great to have a food truck that actually cooks their food from fresh. The bulk of food trucks…read moreI've been to are fresh from the freezer lol. I've eaten from this truck many times and will definitely go back! I'm sure I've had everything on the menu by now but my favourite, if I had to choose just one, is the short rib poutine.

Lil' Truck on the Prairie is everything. I cannot adequately express how enamoured I am with them…read morebut I'll try. We hired Lil' Truck to cater our wedding and they're food was the one thing that kept us from eloping during our wedding planning experience. They hand crafted a menu to suit us specifically and it was the number one thing we bragged about to friends before the event and after. They were able to meet every single dietary restriction but not only that, they did it well. The vegan/vegetarian options were arguably the best on the menu which is rare and hard to accomplish especially when it comes to a big event (and it wasn't pasta!). When I say that I also want to highlight how good their meat mains were too. All the carnivores where just as satisfied as the vegans, which is no small feat. They thought of absolutely everything when planning our wedding and made us feel more like friends than clients. I also appreciated their focus on local and sustainable food sources but while also taking into consideration our (meagre) budget. They made all our food dreams come true. They served our 175 guests cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, AND midnight snack for less per person than an average prime rib dinner. While making each aspect of the event accessable and enjoyable to absolutely all dietary choices, minimizing waste, and focusing on local and sustainable food sources. What more could you possibly ask for?

This truck just might be my new favourite barbecue joint in the city. I got the brisket sandwich…read morefor $13 with a complimentary side of fried mac'n'cheese. Completely filling and completely delicious. The meat is loaded with smokey flavour, is soft and juice, and since it appears to be from some sort of hopefully reputable ranch, is mostly likely good quality beef. The Fried mac n cheese makes for and excellent side. It tastes pan fried instead of deep fried - the gooey mac n cheese goodness you crave, but with some crunchy bits for interest. Loved it as I side but not sure that I think it's a stand alone item. The BBQ sauce is tasty and original - traditional BBQ flavour but with load of peppercorn. I want to put it on everything! That said, a sauce bar would do this truck well. Maybe a few different BBQ sauces or hot sauces to put on things and let you customize your sandwich a bit. You just can't find a BBQ sauce that will please everyone - it's science. Alberta is home to some amazing beef so I'm glad to see a new, worthwhile BBQ truck in this city. If you're at a food truck rally and can't decide which truck to spend your money at - Ranch BBQ is well worth a try.

Thought I was getting potato wedges and really it was a side of ripple chips.. sadly disappointing for something connected with a reputable ranch venue.

The two ladies working the truck were friendly and helpful. I was leaning towards a taco (my current obsession) but they told me to get a burrito (hence Burrito Truck). So I did. My husband got a burger and the kids fries. It was a massive burrito and filled with flavour. Being a hot sauce lover I tried a few - couldn't get much better but loved the kick of heat and flavour. Husband was thrilled with his burger. I believe their truck is open May through October. It's a beautiful drive out to Turner Valley and we are looking forward to visiting them again in the Spring to try more of their yummy eats.

It is located right outside of Motorrad (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/motorrad-millarville) in Millarville, just down the road from the gas plant. The first thing that surprised me was that someone from Motorrad followed our group down to the gas plant and invited our group of 40ish scooterists back to their place for a pit stop. Motorrad is a cool place in of itself. Check it out if you are in the area and a 2-wheeled enthusiast. The next thing that surprised me was that they had a food cart on-site! And a mexican themed one to boot! I only had a Jaritto drink while I was there because I was so thirsty and we didn't have a lot of time. We were also riding back to Calgary to take part in a pig roast. The food I saw people eating though looked awesome and their menu was very enticing. Everything on the menu looked great, but I love mexican food. If I was on a trip past this place I would definitely stop in for a bite to eat and to check out the custom bikes they are working on at Motorrad! I will give it 4/5 for the cart, staff, etc. I am assuming the food is great. I will leave room to update my review if I stop by again and have something more than a pop!

I'm sorry that we stopped for a fry. The person working was clearly unorganized and not prepared…read morefor the business day. She was clearly preoccupied with a personal phone call. She took our order ,very simple , two poutines nothing fancy. She was out of other menu items (Monday opening) but had an excuse she had to go into Calgary to get them. Once the order was taken after a few minutes proceeded to tell us she was out of propane and had to go get another tank and install it. This was the beginning of the opening of the business, how could she not know. We were not in a big hurry so fair enough we would wait for out freshly made poutine. NOT!! The fries spelling correctly were at least a day old refried. I know this because one of my jobs was a fry truck attendant back in my early years. So my knowledge of a freshly cooked fries is fairly accurate. I beg and implore you as consumers of decent food keep driving. Save your hard earned money and spend it where the person serving is invested in her job and has a moral obligation to serve decent food. If you are the owner please revisit your work ethics and practices. If the owner reads this please take time coach and observe your staff she's not the one. This happened yesterday 100520 just after opening we might have been her first customers of the day. I know I could have returned the food too the window but I felt like her lack of care to prepare and present decent food would have been met with less then any concern for doing the right thing.
