Island style creamery is fun for everyone!
Who says you can only get Dole Whip at Disney World? If you happen to live in Tampa Bay, you can now get it at this food truck as well! They serve more than just Dole Whip - sundaes, parfaits, and ice cream all complete this menu. Prices range from $4.50 to $7. They even take the classic Dole Whip a step further and alter it in a myriad of fun ways. In addition to your classic Pineapple Dole Whip you can get an Aloha Colada Whip, Dole Whip Float, and a Dole Whip Shortcake!
I'm not the biggest fan of pineapple, so I opted for one of their handcrafted ice cream flavors. The word handcrafted stumps me. My assumption is it refers to a sort of Cold Stone Creamery style where they do not make the ice cream themselves, but they do add in the mixes by hand, however, I could be completely wrong. Either way, their ice cream hits the spot. I got the Peanut Butter Conviction and enjoyed my chunks of peanut butter cup. I didn't really get a strong peanut butter flavor from the ice cream itself, so next time I'd probably opt for something else. That Expresso Expression may be calling my name - I've been on a coffee kick lately. You can get it in a cup or a cone.
I found this food truck at the Pierce Street Farmer's Market. There was a short line, but it moves fast. The lady working the cash register is super friendly.
