I wanted to get back into shape but wasn't looking for anything too intense, so we looked around and found Pilates Co! I had gotten the 4 classes pass for the both of us, and I came to classes with my boyfriend's mom and we loved it. Reformer 1 was taught by multiple instructors and the sign-ups are done virtually via their website or an app. The instructors were very nice and we usually let them know that we are beginners to Pilates, and they would help us with correct arm placements, how to do each move, etc. We enjoyed the classes very much! Pilates Co definitely has some very qualified instructors! With that being said, once we finished the 4 classes pass, I bought a monthly subscription for my boyfriend's mom. I no longer attended classes due to school. The management are nice and willing to help, and I see they do try to provide the best service. However, they are very inconsistent with the information they are giving out. We paid for 4 classes a month, but this place is PACKED. There were absolutely zero classes left for the first three weeks since our purchase date, and we only managed to find 3 Reformer 1 classes for the fourth week. So we booked ahead those three classes, and contacted Pilates Co regarding the fourth class. We were told via email, and here is the response "Yes, since she is on a membership, she can schedule her classes up to 3 months out." Okay, so we tried to book the fourth class, and it does not work on the app or website. My boyfriend's mom called Pilates Co, and then they basically said no, she can only book within one month of purchase date. This frustrating experience of going back and forth with different information thrown at us was very disheartening, because I wanted this be a common hobby for us. We quickly cancelled the subscriptions and did not go back. read more

I've been going to this studio since July, when it opened. Every instructor has been thorough, good vibes from members and instructors, Classes are easy to follow yet challenging, both studios have always been clean, studios have about 12 reformers so it feels private enough that you can get 1:1 attention from instructors if you need it. They offer different payment plans for new members, monthly, 6m and 1yr unlimited plans. Am absolute amazing experience! read more

The instructors and other patrons are all great people and it is a welcoming atmosphere. The studio is also pretty small with one instructor to twelve students, so it is easy to ask questions and get personalized help. They provide free lockers in the front - you just put your stuff in and grab the key. FYI - the Google maps directions are a little off. It thinks the studio is on the Ralphs side of the shopping center by Vanilla Fish. But actually it is around the corner on the Starbucks/bagel shop side next to the dentist's office. Parking is usually pretty easy and there are only a couple of times I have had to drive around to the back side of the building or park farther down by the back side of Ralphs. Those are usually Friday mornings. There is a good variety of times and classes, and they are on MindBody so you can check out the schedule before committing to a class package. Online scheduling, waitlists, reminder emails and texts, etc. are all super clear and easy. The one wrinkle is that if you are on the monthly unlimited plan you cannot book classes until your month renews and payment is processed on the last day. So I tend to book my classes a month out but may have to skip one or two or have an alternate plan at the beginning of a new month. If you don't gel with a particular instructor, then definitely try others to find your fit. They are all a little bit different. At the risk of making my favorite classes more crowded, I do have some preferences. Amanda tends to kick my butt and I like that I am sore the next day. Jen gives very detailed instructions and lots of positive reinforcement. Tricia is super detailed and will give you corrections on foot and arm placements. This is important because it is easy to cheat at pilates and you only really get the work in if you have the proper form. All of the instructors are great at giving alternatives so you can make the exercises harder or easier based on your own abilities and physical limitations. Some of the forms and exercises will be familiar if you have done yoga (i.e planks, cat/cow). But I would suggest googling pilates basics before your first class. The parts about neutral spine (space for lady bugs), imprinted spine, table top legs, bridging, etc. are fundamentals that help you avoid injuries and get the most out of the class. read more
