I really love this studio and feel extremely lucky to have found it! I love the challenging classes and the very precise instruction (including detailed guidance on form and suggestions for trying out more advanced poses and thoughtfully/carefully adjusting one's body to more effectively get into various poses). I also love how the challenging nature of the classes is balanced with a calm, warm, and comfortable studio environment. I've been doing yoga for almost 15 years now and this is tied (with my first hot yoga studio in Albuquerque, NM) for my favorite studio of all time. You rock, Tula! Other stuff: - I love the classes from Angelique and Frank the most but I've truly never had a bad instructor. This place has really gone down hill. I used to love going to their old location, I was a loyal monthly member and enjoyed it a lot. Due to finances I had to stop going for a while. Since then, they've moved to a terrible location with 5 parking spots. I drove by there after PAYING for my class and there was NO parking and I took one look at the place and opted out anyways. It's in a very dangerous area- I'm not parking a half mile away to walk on a busy street at night as a small woman. This is really frustrating. Move to an unsafe location, have no parking, can't get your money back for a drop in class, the website NEVER works- and their prices haven't gone down so what exactly are we paying for? The owners Tesla in the private parking lot they have (behind a big black gate) because they know it's in an unsafe location. It's giving scam. Disappointing. I won't be back. read more

I wanted to get back into yoga after taking four years off due to depression and personal challenges. For over a month, I searched Yelp and liked the reviews for a particular studio. After finally gathering the courage to attend, I signed up for a beginner yoga class. I have taken beginner classes before COVID, where instructors would walk over to correct my form, provide alternatives, and demonstrate the poses alongside the students. Unfortunately, I didn't experience that here. It was hard to hear the instructor over the music, which left me relying on watching others or sitting quietly when I got lost. In previous studios, there was a strong focus on getting the poses right, receiving corrections, and ensuring everyone was on the same page. Overall, this class just wasn't for me. I gave it three stars because the studio is beautiful, and while I'm sure the class was good for some, it didn't meet my expectations for a beginner class. I did ask for a refund, and the owner agreed; however, I left feeling awkward just unmotivated to continue practicing yoga. read more

I've been going to the studio for a little over a year now, and it's been a great experience. I had never practiced yoga before attending the studio, and now it has become a big part of my life. Before yoga I would wake up each day feeling very stiff, and now due to a pretty consistent practice, I feel a lot better. Every instructor at Tula is amazing and has a unique style that can be enjoyed by all levels. They provide great instruction that is easy to follow, which is nice because you don't have to look around to find out what you're supposed to be doing. I really enjoy that they provide breathing and proper form cues throughout the flows as well. I've attended other studios and Tula has always been my absolute favorite. I always encourage those around me to attend the classes and workshops that are offered. The studio is also very beautiful and clean. It provides great vibes, a relaxing space, and a welcoming environment. I would recommend looking at their website before attending a class. Very cute studio in a perfect location but they play music (mostly with lyrics) VERY loudly. Especially during Shavasana, it seems to get even louder. And it's always a great playlist but I didn't get to go inward much from that distraction so this studio just isn't a personal match for me. I was violently assaulted here on July 8th by one of the members. He put me in a chokehold and dragged me about 20 feet, then later also demonstrated intent to run me over with his truck right outside the studio. Tula Yoga is protecting him and actively attempting to obstruct justice, suppressing witnesses as well. Additionally, they are a scam business. They claim to promote mindfulness and well-being, but really it's just a meatpacking facility to shuffle as many nameless bodies in & out as quickly as possible to make more $$. The instructors are just going through the motions repeating the same things every class, while caring more about accommodating the "virtual" participants than those who are actually present. It is the opposite of mindfulness. Anyway, I don't recommend anyone go to Tula Yoga. The reply by "manager" Frank Ortiz is chock-full of outrageous lies, distortion, and inaccurate thirdhand hearsay. I usually do my practice at home because I didn't want to pay so much for a studio -- $1++ in San Jose where I used to live, for a monthly unlimited pass. I just randomly started checking out studios in IE for a drop-in and found Reveille, which is relatively more affordable. Love Vanessa's class (level 2)! I've gone 3 times now and each time it was challenging. I like that it's fast-paced and flowy. The classes I've been to are after 5PM and so far, parking hasn't been a problem (it's in downtown). They also offer rooftop yoga, which I've gone to once -- i don't remember it having a level designation but I think it's great for level 1-2. That class was with Rachel and was more slow-paced, but I loved the flow nonetheless. When I needed it to be more challenging, I just did some variations. Studio in itself is clean, has yoga mats for rent (as well as for sale), and other props that you can use. I do recommend Reveille overall! read more

I have been coming to Tula Yoga for 2 months now and I LOVE everything about the experience. Every single class I've attended (and it were many) was unique, making it challenging and interesting every time. Still, there is a 'common denominator' to it and you get better with every pose. My fitness level has improved greatly, and it has come without the hardship that getting fit usually entails. All coaches have their different style, however, what they share is their professionally and their friendliness, making you feel welcome. Tula yoga studio is hands down the best studio. Studio is super cute, super clean and the staff make you feel comfortable. I love that you can reserve your spot so you don't have to get there 30 minutes early to squeeze in somewhere. This place is awesome! So glad I found a new yoga place. It's been 3 years since I've done any yoga so I went in and tried two classes right after another. One was very relaxing and the other kicked my butt- but I feel great! The instructor Amie is great- she really encourages you to go at your own pace - and even modify any moves so you don't hurt yourself. As I'd not been in a while I needed to modify my moves a lot. I'm new to Tula and I attended Megan's sound bowl healing workshop and her inversion workshop. Inversion workshop: Megan has a great personality and guided us through a fun warm up flow. Then, she guided us through different inversions and her tips were so helpful. I was able to get up on handstand the first time with her help! I appreciated the tips she gave us and they have been so useful when continuing to practice inversions at home. Sound Healing workshop: I've been to a few sound healing experiences before trying Megan's class and her class is at the top of my list! With the combination of her guided meditation, sound bowls, and scents, she led us through a seriously impactful experience. I am in love with this studio!! I do a lot of homework before I invest my time and money, and Reveille more than lives up to its glowing reviews. I can't say enough good things about the lovely people who run the studio, and the welcoming, kind vibe I experience every time I walk in. My main reasons for making this my Yoga home: - the price. $30 for unltd classes ur 1st month. $55/mo for unltd classes after (with auto pay) What?!? How are they in business??!? -the schedule. Tons of morning and evening classes with quite a few afternoon options as well, everything from Super easy to not. :-) - the people. Every instructor offers a different atmosphere and challenge, but they're all really lovely. (S/o to Jess, aka the welcome wagon,who mans (woman's?) front desk and is just great to talk to!) -free parking in DTR - hello! Sat a.m. class I often go browse the farmers market or get coffee at Molino's afterwards and parking is already paid for. :-) My fave classes are Vanessa's 630 Mon nights Yoga 1-2 & Yesenia's Sat 1030 am Yoga 1-2. I find Vanessa's classes to be very physically challenging, but also tremendously motivating and full of good energy and spiritual wisdom. Yesenia will definitely make you sweat too, but her classes are a bit gentler. She gives great advice to help you really find your way deeper into a pose and connect with your breath and body on a whole other level. Both teachers make the practice accessible and they're both so approachable, something this newbie has been very grateful for! read more

I first saw Reveille walking by and I decided to stop in. I asked if they have classes for fat old people with the flexibility of a 2x4. The person behind the desk laughed and pointed out a few classes that would work for me. I started attending classes 1-3 times a week(depending on my work schedule) in February of 2019. I have made huge progress. All of the instructors have been great. Much of my chronic knee pain has reduced, I am more flexible, and my core strength is improving. I came here after a good friend recommended it on social media. I found a great offer on Groupon and went to my first meditation session this week. I fell in love! This place is a very intimate and private setting and everyone makes you feel very welcomed. I have already signed up for some yoga and more meditation classes! This place is located in the beautiful historic Downtown Riverside and they offer validation for parking. They offer yoga mats for rent if you don't own one for only $2 and sell any necessities for classes as well. They have you create an online account for easy registration of classes and check in upon arrival. I'm excited for my next visit! read more

This studio has a lot of potential but is only pretty good as is. I would actually give it a 3.5-3 if yelp would allow. The location is cute, convenient and general pretty clean. The front desk staff and teachers are all very kind an welcoming. Unfortunately, the teachers here seem to be in some sort of a funk because they all teach pretty much the same classes (and same dozen or so postures) all the time. The lack variety of postures here does make classes somewhat monotonous. It would also be limiting to anyone who is hoping to deepen and expand their practice. Some teachers will teach the same class for an entire week (for many class times). Most teachers rarely give modifications to students who are in incorrect alignment or for student who should/could do less or more in a posture. Thus, I would not recommend this studio to any beginners or students who are hoping to deepen their understanding of the asanas. This studio is also not for yogi's who hope to connect to the other limbs of yoga. On the plus side: this studio is pretty affordable and does have a good amount of class times through out each day of the week. TDLR: This studio is pretty good and affordable but if you are hoping to learn more about how to do yoga postures for the first time/correctly or more deeply I would recommend reading up on alignment on your own for your safety. read more
