Took a yoga class . I don't recall which class I took ,but we had to lay on our backs looking up at bright lights for a long time . There were fans high in the ceiling too but couldn't feel the air at all so laying there staring at bright lights and spinning fans . It wasn't relaxing or peaceful. Way too many early stretching into the practice and hardly any yoga moves . If it's daylight , why put on the ceiling lights at all? I was disappointed as this class was too basic and not what I was hoping for at all. Wish the studio was different because then I would definitely return and take a different yoga class. read more

Simply love this place! I was afraid I'd be intimidated because I haven't taken a yoga class for 12 years. The instructions and people in classes are so friendly. I started with a beginner class and have been hooked, their 30 for 30 special is good for new students too. They have blankets/blocks for you to use or you can bring your own. I have felt comfortable each time and look forward to each class and how good I feel afterwards. Situated in the back lot of Albertsons, Vasa shares a parking lot and row of businesses with other exercise studios and a bookstore (I think). Vasa the Studio is one of the best yoga studios I've been to. It's no muss, no fuss and provides everything that you need. The room is rather large and could easily fit 30-40 yoga mats. There are ample supplies for every class, and small portable heaters for certain classes. There's water (cold, room temp and hot), 3 changing rooms, and 2 restrooms. Everyone is barefoot inside so it stays clean inside. I think the difference from this studio versus others is that there is no judgement. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, including the yogis that go to the classes and the instructors that take each other's classes! There is a sense of community at Vasa, and I feel like that's definitely important. I'd definitely recommend coming and trying it out! read more

I LOVED the class I went to with Leanna this past Wednesday! I suffer from frequent neck pain with headaches, and the myrofascial release session was amazing. I came in feeling in pain and left with a new found hope for my pain. The lights were low, and the room was relaxed with a small size class. If you suffer from chronic pain, give this a try. Really nice studio, amazing positive atmosphere and it feels cozy and relaxing (the room also smells amazing). The teachers are really kind and recommended classes to fit my needs. I had back surgery a few months ago, so I was looking for gentle yet challenging classes. They have a nice mix of classes that were just what I was looking for. One of my favorite places. I have to drag myself to do a work out at the gym but not when it comes to yin yoga with Jessie or slow flow with Sarah. I've attended a few other classes and each teacher has shown their talents with great cues and sequence. The instructors always offer modifications different poses so that you can choose the difficulty that is right for you. I LOVE this studio! I don't live in Redlands but I was here visiting family for a few weeks. I purchased a month pass (fantastic month pass deal for new students, by the way) and came 9 or 10 times and truly loved my experience each time. The owner, Lisa, is warm and welcoming and never forgot my name. I'm used to impersonal studios on the east coast, so this made me feel so special. I mostly took the barre yoga class, which is a nice mix of both worlds. Not as intense as a traditional barre class, but the added relaxation and stretching components are a nice benefit. The studio is inviting, clean and heated (but not too heavily). You can choose to stand closer or farther away from the heaters. The music selection is always fabulous and makes it feel more like a party than a grueling work out--though you WILL BE SORE! I wish I could come here all the time. Highly recommended! read more

I want to live at Vasa. This is by far the best yoga studio I've been to across multiple states. Owner Lisa and her team create a culture of warmth that makes me feel completely at home to get exactly what I need from my practice- amping up the physical, finding comfort in my skin, learning new poses or new techniques in familiar poses, deepening emotional connection to my practice, and laughing and letting go. There's zero snobbery at Vasa and it's affordable. The schedule is varied just right to meet all my needs through the week- upbeat butt kicking power classes, approachable flows, yin, and restoration. Fabulous studio. If you're looking for a studio that is challenging, changes up routines, has many options in styles, and has a fun loving environment then Vasa is for you! I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. I've tried many studios and still to this day none have reached the level of Vasa. All levels can really thrive at this studio and I've don't probably 50 classes, but honestly haven't felt like I've done the same flow twice! I'm not sure why I haven't written a review sooner for this studio. I LOVE this place. Lisa created a welcoming, peaceful, and safe place to practice at Vasa. When the studio first opened there were sometimes assistants walking the room readjusting and using massaging oils. I felt like my practice really grew since there was more attention to each person in the room than at other studios I'd been to. The number of those that practice at Vasa studio seems to be growing and growing which is inevitable really. I knew it would happen cause Lisa is amazing. She has this chill vibe that she blends with challenging sequencing and carefully selected playlists. She's encouraging and empowering. Additionally Lisa built an equally impressive staff. The other teachers at Vasa are fantastic--you really can't go wrong with whatever class you attend. I suppose I selfishly wanted this to remain the best kept secret in Redlands, but it seems like the word is out. I'm not surprised. ;) read more

I cannot say enough good things about this studio. I am pretty new to yoga and have tried other studios in town and had not had great experiences. I was hooked after one class at Vasa. The studio is smaller, so classes feel more intimate and comfortable. They have a variety of classes, and enough held each day that I can usually find one that works in my schedule. Lisa, the owner, is great and takes the time to learn your name and talk to you (something I hadn't experienced anywhere else). Although all of the instructors are lovely, I've had the most experience in Cindy's Vinyasa 1 class and Sarah's beginner class. Cindy and Sarah are both wonderful, so encouraging and positive.
