Went to my first yoga workshop at Flowstone on 09/08/2024 and was beyond impressed. Not only was it an incredible climbing gym, the facility was well run, clean, had friendly staff and also had a really great general gym. I went there for a yoga workshop and the yoga studio was upstairs. It was absolutely beautiful and the instructor Amanda was amazing. Her workshop was not only a lot of fun, but I learned so much! Best climbing gym around! This is the gym where I started climbing and the route setting, coaches, owners, and staff are all the best. Only negative is that the music can get pretty harsh/inappropriate at times. But if you have kids and don't feel comfortable with what's playing the staff is super friendly and accommodating :). We were looking for a gym to learn how to boulder and Flowstone has been great since they are bouldering-only (no rope climbing). The employees are friendly and helped us get started picking climbing shoes. They change out the routes frequently. I'd say the average route changes every 2-3 weeks. The route difficulties are marked in ranges (v0-v2, v2-v3, etc). Their cost model is somewhat complicated - they have a first time price so you can try it out. After that they have one-time passes and 10-use passes. From there they have two types of memberships: renewing and not renewing. The renewing one has an initiation fee but it can be waived for students. So yeah, kinda complicated but we had an employee talk us through the best option for us One note is that this gym can get crowded during peak time so you might have to wait your turn for the more popular routes. read more

I've attempted to boulder in the past, but none of those experiences come close to how much fun I had at Flowstone Climbing. First thing I noticed was how clean the building was. With all the fans running and the AC circulating, it was a very pleasant gym to visit. I'm a fan of how they label each route, it makes it much easier to see levels based on a color system. My first time climbing at Flowstone, I got addicted to completing the routes and ended up buying a student membership soon after! I have yet to try out their gym or one of their yoga classes but overall, 100% worth my time and money! read more

I've finally got to visit this gym for the first time, and it was wonderful. After having been to most of the climbing gyms in LA and the IE, this is the best bouldering gym I've been to. Other than the beautiful aesthetic, amenities and nice sound system (feels like I'm in a lounge/nightclub but not as loud), the route setting here is amazing. Even the V0-V2 routes are creative, I can tell they put a lot of thought into the process. There are slab, vertical, steep and overhang walls for all style of climbing. I really enjoyed working on their slab route even though it's tough, there's not that many great slab routes at the other gyms I've frequented. The only bad thing is that I can't visit this gym that often since I live too far away but I hope to be able to visit again. read more

It was my third time at this gym and I loved it!! The routes are set up more comp style than Hangar 18 gyms that I normally frequent. I really like that they do their grading with the color scheme that indicate a general range of difficulty (I stick to the white and green dots meaning V0-V2) and I feel like overall there is a huge variety of climbs!! My bf and my bestie are more V6-V8 climbers but they have enough to keep all of us occupied. Their bathrooms are really clean and I know they vacuum the pads at night keeping it as clean as possible. They have a really good ventilation system with giant fans and open doors allowing fresh air to come in. It might not be important to you but I like it that it doesn't smell like sweaty feet in there lol It's $20 for a day pass but you can use it the entire day. So if you want to go and get lunch and come back, it's still available to you. They have two moon boards, several hang boards, and weights if you're just in the mood to train!! Enjoy!! read more

Went for the first time, staff was super helpful took my kids and was able to do the form before hand, got there got our shoes and stayed for about 4 hours. Alot of cool sections and they even have lifting equipment and a yoga studio next door. read more

I first started climbing in July this year. Since then, my husband and I decided to get a couple's membership. Since I was a student, I had the opportunity to get the initiation fee waived which is nice. Also, keep in mind that if you know you won't be around that month, you can pay $10 to maintain the membership but not go that month. They change at least one of the walls approximately once a week so there's always new options. Follow them on Instagram to stay up to date on when they change the walls! When I peeked at the thermostat, the temperature said 91 so just keep in mind that it isn't kept super cool while climbing! read more

First time here and had a chill time. They use a color grading system rather than numbers, which I thought was interesting. Options were more limited than I'm used to, and the place felt relatively small but very tall. Cool things: they have a weight area where you can squat, bench, and deadlift, a cardio area with some free weights, and a yoga room. Convenient location is a plus if you're in Loma Linda. read more

This is an amazing space to climb in. I love how big and open the layout of the building is. There are climbing routes for everyone. It's all Boulder with a small gym and a yoga room. I had such an amazing experience here and I plan to come back for more. The front desk peoples are always smiling and they explain everything thoroughly. I wish this could be my main climbing gym but I live elsewhere. I can't wait to come back and fun fun on another weekend. My boys love this place, who wouldn't love this place? We stumble upon this gym because of the desire to find a climbing area. Joel was courteous and informative. We got monthly membership and we can come as much as we want. This is great for anyone who wants to stay fit and have fun. THere's a lot of different categories and theirs a spot for beginners and newbies. Don't be intimidated, just come and try it out. We can't stop coming back. Rad to the max and remember it's still expanding in phase 2 with more climbing with a cafe? Whoa! Read on the website-it's exciting stuff. My first time was Friday the 13th, which also happened to be my college teen daughter's 19th birthday. Cool! As an intermediate experienced climbing gym gypsy (and outdoor)(guess about 40-50 different gyms) this has got to be one of the best bouldering gyms ever. It combines the aesthetic view of large sweeping multi-panel wall forms (modern) with so many variety of holds/sets that go from V0-V12. Of course because I am a professional faller- ha ha -the pads are very cush so a good spill/wipe out is no big deal. Holds are new, super sticky/great friction, but please brush periodically. As typical, grades are subjective with an 8 color circuit system (read more on website under "route setting"-plus you get to learn about the crew-cool). Climbs are split into 2-3 grades in one, some are easier and some get your fragile ego crushed. For me, some V3-V4s were easier, some I worked at it. I spent my first session on a large black volume hold V4-6 and I got worked-fun fail. Facility was so clean, easy access to gear, restrooms and "free gym chalk"-that was cool. Stopped by here with 6 kids and one adult climber. They all had a great time. Some in our group were experienced, others not. Everyone was able to find something they enjoyed. I'm VERY new - very beginner level, and I always appreciate the different routes that they have set for all levels. They have multiple V0-V1 routes that are challenging yet fun for beginners. I decided to get a membership after just one session. It's a little more expensive than the Hangar18's in the area, but the general aesthetic, friendliness, and diverse routes are the reasons why I choose to pay the price. You also basically get a private gym membership, as they have a separate fitness facility that there is rarely more than 5 people in there at once. read more
