We celebrated a bachelorette party with Byrd and it was AMAZING. He was friendly happy and great vibes. Took us to Shake shack and 16bit. Plus pictures on the circle. Can not recommend him enough. Not creepy. Just fun good vibes. However the manager when we first got there right off the bat was rude. Our ride was at 330. We got there at 318. He gave us shit about being late because we were supposed to be there "20 mins early" even tho we were all there and on the peddler and had plenty of time. Then when we got back after our ride the manager again was mad and rude bc we had music playing. Overall a GREAT experience. And again Byrd was AMAZING. Wow!!! What an incredible experience for my friend's 50th birthday celebration. Our group of friends decided to do The Pickled peddler for a 50th birthday celebration. This is a party bicycle cart that is motorized so that you do not have to pedal the entire time you are on it, but feel free to do so to get the full experience. You go around downtown Indy drinking on the cart and pedaling while music is blasting and all the patrons downtown chip in and wave to you to be part of the fun! You are allowed two to three stops on the trail downtown Indy to take a complimentary shot at one of the bars and visit the rest room, but it is only for 10 to 15 minutes at each stop, so you have to be quick. The best part is we were allowed to bring our own alcohol onto the cart to enjoy at our leisure during the entire trail in downtown Indy. There is a staff member from The Pickled peddler who operates and drives the cart throughout downtown Indy, and provides the music and entertainment for you by playing drinking games during the trail. Jon Stoops was our driver on the Picked Peddler and he was fantastic and very professional! He played excellent music at our request and kept the party going on our trail through downtown Indy. Jon was very entertaining and made our experience more enjoyable. Jon Stoops is an excellent employee at The Pickled peddler. The Pickled peddler is very cost worthy and not too expensive at all if you get a good group of people together to chip in on the cost. Plus, you can bring your own alcohol onto the cart. If you are looking for something fun and enjoyable to do for a birthday or special occasion, I highly recommend The Pickled peddler. This was a blast and my friends had a blast as well. The staff here is top notch. Very friendly and helpful and knows how to keep the party jumping. They have a private parking lot for you to park and restroom facilities at the start point as well. We were celebrating a friends birthday and the experience was awesome. You have to remember a few things. First, you have to bring your own drinks, preferably in a cooler with ice. Second, someone has to sit in the center and serve as a bar tender. Someone will also have to serve as DJ. The music is booming. We took the easy route and went with Amazon music. Also, don't forget to bring some cash to tip your guide. The bike can get hot and sunny at times so you may need some sunscreen and dress accordingly. Peddling is more of a time filler and not what gets the bike to move. The bike has a small motor and will get you where you are going without any issues. So, you do not have to pedal. There are a few stops at some bars along the way. We stopped at the Patron Saint and St. Joseph's. The experience lasted about an hour and a half and was a great time by all. The Dugout bar across the street from the loading point will not serve people coming off of the Pickled Pedaler. They say it has something to do with an accident they had with a pedaler. I highly recommend doing this at least once. It is a great time and it is in walking distance of many downtown bars and restaurants so you can easily pre-game and/or keep the party going depending on how you roll. read more

Celebrating a 21st bday. The driver was nice but could have made the trip more enjoyable. We only stopped at 1 bar in the 105 minutes we had the bike rented. He kept telling us if we stopped for pics at the circle that was all the time we would have because of the traffic but the traffic was the same as it always is. However, he thought our time was up at 7 when we really had until 7:30. We traveled down dead end roads that required him to get out and push the bike since there was no reverse. We traveled the same streets/underpasses 3 times and traveled into residential areas twice and got "corrected" by a parking attended for being in that area. We had fun but it was a much different experience than we had with our trips with other companies. I will say that the company did call me when they saw this review so I bumped up from 2 stars to 3 stars for that reason. read more

This was my first time on a party bike and I had a wonderful nonalcoholic time celebrating Juneteenth with a group of awesome ladies. Our driver Nick was lots of fun and very accommodating. He made sure he went over all the rules, made us feel comfortable even though we did not stop at any bars and grooved along with our Christian Hip-Hop music. TPP is always a great time. Friends and I got to experience the event in the Indy Pride Parade, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The owner even brought decorations to help out with the event and make our "float" stand out from the rest. TPP is a great alternative to similar services in the Circle City, and you essentially get the same thing, for a lower price. Things to note: - AMPLE parking (private parking lot and along Virginia and College Avenues), - the staff are incredible. I can only imagine having to drive tons of drunk people around, but they were true sports and were just as excited as we were! - Bring a pre-created playlist (on a device you can let go and play music). It's nice that we all have phones that play music, but some times you need them over the course of the ride, so taking an old phone or an iPod is a good idea. - BYOB. - Great storage and ample space to bring a cooler. Overall, it's a great experience that everyone should try at least once, especially if you're newer to the city and want to go around the downtown area and try out new bars and bar hop! read more

I'm sad that downtown is sooo bad with homeless people though): it's not the pedalers fault but it's definitely hard to enjoy downtown anymore when homeless people are hollering and laying all over side walks!!! This is an excellent activity for a day/evening with friends! I have been part of three different groups for the bike and I've had a blast each time! I've done it with a variety of age groups, each one has also loved the bike experience. The different groups have been: work friends, high school group of friends getting together, and also a family celebration for a 21st birthday! (yes, the family celebration included aunts, uncles, and parents) I've also hit a variety of spot son the bike and have really enjoyed doing Metazoa. The bartenders are fun and always up for a good time when the groups come in! Our drivers were also a blast! We were lucky enough to have the owner and Karen as our two drivers. Yes, I said two. Our group included 28 people and we booked two bikes to go out together! It was a blast and they were a great time. The price of the bike is something I hear everyone complain about. I'm just going to say, filling up a bike and having a great time with your friends is priceless! The twenty-five dollar payment is nothing compared to some of the other activities around town. It also works well with large groups because everyone gets to stop at a place they enjoy! (out of three stops surely they will enjoy one) It's also a great way to stay together, while going out and drinking! Some tips from a 24 year old rider: - I wore wedges one time, the next time I didn't and had a much better time - Romper/jeans/shorts are a must, don't think a dress with be comfortable - take the smallest purse possible, it is annoying to take it off and put it in the bike and then wait to get it each time you get off to a bar - buy the throw away cooler at kroger or something so you can toss it after - I did not want to drink beer the whole time, nor did most of my friends. We made a mixed drink and put it in a pitcher. Just don't forget the cups! - If you have an iPhone 7, don't forget to bring the connecter for the aux cord.. the don't have one - Make a playlist so you don't have to be switching songs the whole time - Let everyone know the plan, may that be two drinks and hang at two places.. or running in, grabbing shots, and leaving... from experience it is easiest for everyone to be one the same page and not have some shots being taken and then the manly men ordering their old fashions :) - eat before of bring snacks, do not attempt on an empty stomach Enjoy your time on the pickle pedaler! read more

Fun way to hang out with friends! I'm not too sure how much our peddling was powering the car, but it was fun nonetheless. You do have to bring your alcohol. Someone in our group brought a large cooler and there was also another cooler that was already on the Pickled Peddler. You can make a playlist to play through your phone or iPod. The music volume stayed pretty low throughout our ride, but there was also a lot of noise from our group talking and the other sounds of the city. We stopped at St. Joseph's brewery as a pit stop, some bought a beer (and quickly drank it!), others used the bathroom. Because you can't have glass containers on the peddler they had some of their beers available in plastic bottles for purchase so you can take them on the bike with you. We also stopped at the monument to take a picture. Our final stop was kilroys but immediately when we got their the driver said he would either have to drop us off here or drive us back right then (it was a 2 hour ride). We decided to go back and enjoyed some food afterward right there on Virginia. It was definitely a fun experience, but it'll be a while before I'm willing to pay $25 simply for the ride.
