It was delicious, but a little light on the booze. It was only $5 and change, though, so it's kind of like what do you expect, really. It was a nice drink to sip slowly while I sat in the small, cozy bar. Speaking of bar aesthetics: Snug lives up to its name. It's tiny and dark but inviting. It feels like stepping into a hug. A hug that can also provide you with copious amounts of Irish whiskey, which sounds like the best kind of hug, to me.

We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. The veggie burger came with a squishy bean patty, with peas in it -- not my fave texture or flavor but tolerable -- and a tahini sauce... but they barely put any sauce on it. A gourmet, no-high-fructose-corn-syrup ketchup or tomato jam might have been better, or at least more of the tahini. It did come with a nice pile o' crunchy pickles (love) and a lovely green salad with balsamic dressing (way too many carrots). Service was fast and friendly. Ambience is upscale bar, with fun and interesting murals on the walls -- they had a terrific music playlist going, and the Hubbins and I ended up kind of dancing in place without realizing it. Public parking lot directly across the street meant we didn't get soaked by the rainstorm, and didn't have to drive around forever dealing with construction, looking for a parking spot. A nice, easy option for dinner with the fam without having to work/think too hard about it -- something to suit all of our varied diets.

13 members of my family (brothers, sisters and their spouses) spent a very fun summer Saturday night on board the Pickled Pedaler in downtown indianapolis. We brought our own tunes and adult beverages and really enjoyed pedaling around town drinking and singing our favorite party tunes. Downtown Indy is a wonderful place, packed with people dining and partying. On every street people cheered, took our picture and/or waved as we pedaled by. Some other bicyclists rode along side for a while and the whole evening was just a whole lot of fun! Dan and Nicole, the owners of the Pickled Pedaler are great to work with. Dan was also our driver for the night and did an excellent job, he even acted like he enjoyed our off key, enthusiastic singing. If you are in the Midwest (USA). I highly recommend getting a group of friends together and having yourself a Pickled Pedaler adventure! read more

My first experience on the Pickled Pedaler was for Indy's Bike to the Ballpark. We met up at White River State Park with coolers full of local craft beer in hand. We took a 2 hour tour around downtown and stopped at the circle or 20 minutes or so. I was worried about getting tired and possibly falling off due to my natural clumsiness (not the beers of course). Turns out the seats are super comfy and safe and the electric motor helps keep your legs from exploding. Key features to make note of: 1. A motor to help when you're in no shape to pedal. 2. A docking station so you can play your own music. 3. Adjustable seats to accommodate folks of any height. My first experience on a party bike was a total blast, and it certainly won't be my last. Can't wait to hop aboard the Pickled Pedaler again soon. read more

Our group of 10 met at the Pickled Pedaler on Virginia at 9:40 am! We could park on the street or inside the gated area of the pedaler. Submitting our paperwork was a breeze and we were on our way. The day was a little gloomy looking but it wouldn't have mattered if it poured. We had a blast!! Great tunes playing, people stopping and looking as we passed, or laughing as they passed us on the road. We made two short stops; one on the circle (went in an old time candy store) and one on Mass Ave. Driver had a good route mapped out. This bike is nice because it has a MOTOR on it if the pedalers get tired. I would highly recommend it. All 10 of us are ready to go again. read more

This was AWESOME!! My coworkers and I decided to do something of the wall different and FUN for my birthday this year, THIS WAS IT!!! Kevin was an excellent driver and host for my rowdy crowd, a real trooper!! for We toured the town in style, laughing and waving and hooting at passing folks!! You MUST do this at least once! We loved that we brought our own drinks, everyone had what they liked and with room for 3 coolers on board we had plenty flowing! An excellent experience we will all remember for a life time! We booked Pickled Pedaler for a bachelorette party. It was the best decision we ever made!! It was the high light of the even!!! We even chose the evening slot. I highly recomment it!!! I have used other companies and they do not compare to this one!!! The bike was motorized so well did not have to pedal the WHOLE night. I would rate this company a 10!!! HOLY CRAP so much fun!!! I have done the handle bar before and then did the pickled pedaler second. Definitely better. More comfortable seats, and a motor incase you get "too pickled to pedal." Actually the motor was just really nice when you would have to start up from a complete stop (like at th elights). Great staff. Dan, the owner, was our guide. read more

Not only were they super accommodating while booking, they were also very fluid and helpful while we rode. This area of the Stutz building is so nice! It has a delightful little courtyard. Turner's has such a great vibe. Sort of a dive bar feel, but very clean, comfortable, and with great craft cocktails. Staff were fun and friendly! The music was good. Decor and chairs were awesome! Part of me thinks it would be cool if more businesses came to this little area, but I don't want it to lose its quaint special feel. The location makes it more difficult to visit again since it isn't near a lot, but I will definitely try and make it back in!!

We stopped by Turner's while attending an event at The Stutz. After debating venturing out into…read morewinter weather and playing the downtown parking hunger games, we decided staying in the building was the move. Convenience: 10/10. Turner's itself is a good sized establishment with a pool table and a few different seating areas, which makes it feel like a solid spot to hang out whether you're there for drinks, food, or killing time before an event. They also have a cut out window where you can order Julieta Tacos, which is a really cool option if you want to mix things up food wise without leaving the space. We grabbed seats at the bar where a bartender (didn't catch her name) greeted us and handed over menus. I mentioned we were there for the Devour menu and was told it was over... which was interesting since Turner's website was still advertising it earlier that same morning. After a quick check with a manager, they honored it, which we definitely appreciated because nothing says "Devour disappointment" like ghosted food promos. The Devour deal included a hot dog, chips, and a cocktail. I ordered the Miami Vice and honestly, no notes. Solid drink. We also got to pick snack sized chip bags hanging behind the bar, which felt a little like choosing snacks at a gas station, but hey, variety is variety. Now for the plot twist... We were told our hot dogs were ready and to grab them from the warmer. Exciting, right? Except when we opened the warmer, the foil wrapped hot dogs were... cold. Cold. Like they, too, were braving the Indiana winter. When we let staff know, there was a bit of a team huddle on how to handle it, which felt slightly awkward and unorganized. It also felt like we accidentally became "those customers," simply for wanting our hot dogs to be warm. Thankfully, another bartender, Andre, stepped in like the calm in the storm. He got fresh hot dogs warmed up and brought them out and he continued checking on us for the rest of our visit, which honestly saved the experience. Overall: Cocktails were good, the location is super convenient if you're already at The Stutz, and shoutout to Andre for turning things around! That said, I can probably check Turner's off my list and doubt I'll make a trip back unless I'm already at The Stutz & if I do return, it would likely be for drinks only!
