Despite starting with what was supposed to be a customized plan, the workouts felt more like a one-size-fits-all group session and my results reflected that. Another major issue is the lack of flexibility or grace. If you arrive even five minutes late, even within the stated 10-minute grace period, you can expect to be chastised. It's frustrating, especially for parents juggling morning drop-offs or work schedules. Instead of encouragement, you often get a lecture about "mindset" and "being on time," which starts to feel more self-righteous than supportive. The environment also wasn't what I expected. You're literally working out in an apartment complex gym, nothing exclusive like you'd expect for the high price point. For the rates Ranier Fit charges, I expected much more than a generic setup and recycled routines. Ranier Fit might work for people who can make their entire life revolve around workouts, but it's not practical for busy professionals or parents. Unless you're ready to spend $4,000 on true one-on-one training, there's nothing individualized here. Honestly, I could have gotten a more personal and affordable experience at the YMCA or another local fitness studio. Overall, my Ranier Fit experience was disappointing and not worth the premium cost. My updated review reflects my experience over the full 19 months, not just the earlier phase when I left a positive review. As I continued, it became clear that what was described and what I experienced were not aligned for me personally. A few clarifications from my end: I understood I was joining a small-group program, not 1:1 training. My concern was that, despite the "personalized" language used in marketing and in our conversations, the programming I received was identical to what others were doing and did not adjust meaningfully. I did not miss sessions without communicating until the very end when I was in the process of canceling. I was repeatedly reminded about time in ways that felt more like chastising than support, even though I stayed within the 15-minute window communicated to me. I have a copy of my membership agreement, and the renewal terms you referenced were not clearly stated in the contract I signed. My concern is less about comparison to other gyms and more about transparency and consent based on the specific document I agreed to. Regarding the space and equipment, I understand you value the partnership and environment. My note in the review was about comfort and expectations, not about the quantity of equipment. I'm glad others feel well-served by your structure and policies. My review is meant to offer a different perspective so that prospective clients--especially busy professionals and parents--can make an informed decision about whether this specific style of coaching, communication, and policy enforcement is the right fit for them.

The class is free for women to attend and only $10 for men who's like to attend. This gym offers all different kinds of classes for boxing, aikido, Muay Thai, and tai chi. The professors/senseis team up The first or second Saturday of the month to teach a self-defense class for women. The class is usually from 1 PM to 3 PM and consist of maneuvers and strikes. They are very informative and very patient when teaching. They don't mind going over the techniques over and over again until you are sure you get it right. You definitely feel like you were in a safe space with people who truly care about you, trying to teach you. They check in with the students to make sure that nobody is uncomfortable especially for those who have suffered an attack before. I can't say enough good things about this particular class. The only reason I have not signed up for one of their aikido classes is because the schedule doesn't work for me. You can follow them on Facebook to learn about their lady safe events, give it a shot and that will help you determine if you would like to continue coming to this gym for other classes.

I started Muay Thai a couple of months ago and the training is impeccable. Learning from the ground up I have learned so much in two months. As much as I have always wanted to learn martial arts, I have always had a love for weight lifting and this place is perfect for that as well with a free weight room and many powerlifting amenities!! The best of both worlds, a great place to sweat, work hard on yourself, and learn about the arts. This place feels super intimate and you start feeling welcomed and comfortable after a few weeks. It's like a 2nd home for me :)

This was embarrassing since I fully purchased this class & booked it through the correct time slot. After the class the instructor asked me to contact the owner so she in no longer put in this position. I contacted them and their response was completely apathetic to the situation and they did not recognize the need to fix their website or offer an apology. They had total disregard for the situation they created and their language in response to my experience was patronizing. It would not have inconvenienced them to handle their website glitch and customer concern with care.

The coaches are amazing and encourage you to focus on form vs speed and truly know how to motivate you when you're feeling like you've got nothing left. I enjoy yoga and the cool down / meditation is absolutely PHENOMENAL. After maxing out and emptying your tank in the workout, taking time to stretch, breathe, reflect, show gratitude, and finish with an affirmation makes my morning workouts at LR50 the highlight of my day! 10/10 would recommend.

These folks are very helpful and friendly no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
