I was staying in Nashville for work and the hotel breakfast sucked so I found this place on Happy Cow. I was intrigued by the concept so decided to check it out. They have gluten free and also vegan pancake batter so very accommodating. There was plenty of parking but also a sign about additional parking, and signage about a wait list so I assume weekends get very busy. I thought it was a little pricey BUT it's all you can eat, I Just couldn't eat more than one round. I was disappointed that the veggie sausage wasn't vegan but was thankful that the staff is very knowledgeable about that. They were very friendly and welcoming when I arrived and explained everything to me. My batter arrived quickly and making my own pancakes didn't take long at all. It could get even more pricey with multiple toppings so this seems like a fun place for a special meal. The decor was absolutely amazing with all of the murals and art work. I have been telling my Nashville coworkers about this place, as some had never heard of it. But I will definitely be back on my next trip. Hope to bring the family next time.

A very cool idea with wonderful execution. Recommend the Joey, which comes with pancakes, bacon, two toppings for the batter, and you can get biscuits and gravy. You cook it yourself (the pancakes). Also the eggs you make yourself. The staff was nice and always checking in. Wasn't a line which made sense for the time of day I went. Will definitely come back to this cool place!

Great for the family! Visiting from Hawaii, we were looking for a premium breakfast experience. This spot was really cool with the idea of cooking the food on your own. The kids enjoyed flipping their own pancakes. The buttermilk mix cooks perfectly on the grill and makes it easy for kids to cook their own breakfast. The mashed potatoes are delicious when you make them crispy. The pancakes come with many toppings such as dark chocolate, white chocolate, bananas, and strawberry sauce. Highly recommended when in Nashville!

My wife found this funky breakfast/lunch place to eat at. It is celiac friendly and think of it as a breakfast hibachi. There is a griddle, and you get all of the fixings to cook yourself breakfast. It was fun and you get every ingredient you need. I let my wife cook first as she had gluten free pancake mix so there was no cross contamination. She said the pancakes were amazing and not gritty. Mine were great and it was the perfect start of our day. Give them a chance, good food and great service!

I love pfunky griddle, and you just can't convince me otherwise. Yes, you make your own food. No, it's not against the point of going out... it's an EXPERIENCE. You come here to have fun, and you leave happy! Just make sure to go online and add yourself to the waitlist ahead of time because there will ALWAYS be a LONG wait time, especially on weekends. They have a small area to wait inside, but just be prepared for that. You cook pretty much everything yourself on the griddle at your table, besides a few select sides (like the meat). We often get the Joey, which gives you all you can say pancakes with 2 toppings, 2 sides, and a choice of meat. Buttermilk All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes: 10/10 - This is where it's AT!! The batter is absolutely delicious, and they just keep bringing more until you're done. You absolutely get the bang for your buck, and I honestly love getting extra toppings even if it costs extra because it adds so much flavor. I've tried the pancakes with m&ms, chocolate chips, oreo, Nutella, and peanut butter, and all of it is good. It's super fun to make and flip them yourself, and you can make them exactly how you like them!! Bacon: I didn't try because I'm not a bacon person but my boyfriend said it was better than the average restaurant bacon. You don't cook this yourself. Hash Browns: They take a while to cook, but here's a tip-Add extra butter to the griddle before and it helps a LOT. (Heads up for any Canadians like me, their maple syrup isn't real.)

What a cool concept. At this place. you can cook your own food for a few of the menu items. We opted for grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. The grilled cheese came with 4 slices of bread and 4 slices of cheese. The soup was cooked in the back. Service was good. Our waitress was prompt. Seating is a little tight but it was also a Sunday so I'm guessing it's busier then.

What a fun concept!! If you're going, you might as well do the Joey right?! Unlimited pancakes or French toast (gluten free & vegan available) with some sides and toppings. I honestly can't remember the last time I had a pancake so these really hit the spot. Only downside was it was pretty smoky/hot in the patio seating. Nothing a fan can't fix. Pro tip- join the waitlist from their website.

Date of visit: August 9, 2023 A friend talked about how fun this place was and once I heard about it, I knew we had to try it. I've been to places where you grill your own steak, but never your own breakfast! Staff was fun, if not quite as attentive as I would have liked. The food, however, was good. The batter poured easily and that allowed for mixing in our preferred items without issue. Butterfinger pancakes? Yes, please! The portions are pretty generous and when you add in all the sides as well, it makes for a hearty breakfast at a price that isn't too shabby. The bacon was excellent (we didn't have to cook that) and the biscuits--while not served warm--were way better than the "famous" ones at Loveless Café. I do wish that the side items came in more sustainable containers--I can't imagine how many of those little plastic cups are tossed out each day, filling up the landfill for centuries. Outside of that, the only other complaint I had was about the cleanliness of the facility, we sat by the window in the back section of the restaurant right after they opened and the windowsill area had clearly not been cleaned in quite some time. I was going to take a picture, but decided not to, it was that gross!

It's just an OK from me, the three and a half star rating for this place is about right. The ordering is clunky, the table arrangement is not comfortable, and for a place that has people cooking inside there seems to be zero ventilation. It was very smokey inside and I wouldn't eat here and then go to a meeting or appointment; you'll smell just like hot griddle and food. We sat on the patio and the first thing I noticed was that our table was not level at all. This made cooking very challenging, especially the eggs. Everything ran down and to the left and I had to hold it with the spatula until it cooked. As for the food, it was ok. I did enjoy my biscuits and gravy and the pancakes were decent, but nothing here excited me. The batter here is way too thick and doesn't pour clean, so I suggest adding a little water to the batter for an easier pour. We ordered the kids pancakes, The "Joey", and the biscuits and gravy with two sides; egg and sausage. As we ordered, we we're told three separate times (without prompting) we can't share our pancakes and that we needed to purchase our own individual pancake orders. We get it, no sharing! To be reminded so often definitely took the fun out of it and made us feel like cheap skates if I snacked a little bit food from my son's plate. This is a fun idea in theory, but I don't think it quite works for this venue.

Pfunky griddle is just as fun as it's name. It really looks like a super cozy shack or home depending on how you see it. Regardless, it's huge and can fit a good amount of people. I love the concept of unlimited and customizable pancakes. Not only is it cute, but you can really get creative with your food. The staff was super friendly throughout the entire experience. I genuinely enjoyed my time here. Side are fun, but very standard for breakfast add ons. Beware: you will smell like pancakes afterwards

What a fun place. Being gluten free I never thought I would have this type of experience. It's like breakfast hibachi. Pick your breakfast items and cook it in front of you, at your table. I was able to make my own pancakes and cook my egg and potatoes. My husband went next with regular pancakes and biscuits. The staff was great, knowledgeable for celiac. The decor perfectly hid the fans to keep the temperature perfect even with griddles going everywhere. So glad someone suggested

Overall, the idea of cooking your own food is really neat and I enjoyed the experience overall. The only problem we had was the fact that no matter how long we seemed to cook the French toast, it was still raw in the middle. Im not sure if the griddle was maybe not turned up high enough but other than that the food was good and it was a fun place to go for brunch!

Do they offer dairy free pancakes?

Yes! There is a vegan option that can be made egg and/or dairy free. Banana instead of egg and almond or soy milk instead of regular milk.

Next time, I'd give a miss to the included home fries and opt for the fruit instead. My vanilla bean latte was very good and my friend loved her mocha. I can't believe it has taken me this long to finally write a review for Biscuit Love…read more I've been eating here for more than a dozen years, and that should tell you just about everything you need to know. Their biscuits have consistently been among the best in Tennessee. And honestly, I'd put them up against just about anything across the entire South. They're light. They're fluffy. They're fresh. And they hit the mark every single time. Then there's the candy bacon. I'm not entirely sure what kind of magic is involved in making it, but I do know that it has become one of the things I look forward to every time I start planning another trip to Nashville. Some people plan their itinerary around museums and historic landmarks. I plan mine around biscuits and candy bacon. And I have no regrets. The eggs are fluffy and cooked perfectly, and in more than a dozen years of eating here, I honestly can't remember ever having anything that was subpar. Now, a little practical advice: be prepared to wait in line. But stay in line. This is not the time to see a long queue and decide that you'll just go somewhere else. The line is part of the experience, and the food is worth the wait. Nashville has no shortage of breakfast options, but Biscuit Love has earned its place as a must-stop. Five stars. After all these years, the biscuits are still among the best I've had anywhere. That kind of consistency is rare. And yes, the next time I'm planning a trip to Nashville, Biscuit Love will be on the list.

For our entree we split the East Nasty (buttermilk biscuit, topped with chicken tenders, buttermilk white cheddar cheese, bear creek sausage gravy and we added an egg). The biscuit was good but needed a little more gravy. I also used hot sauce as I wanted a bit more of a kick with my biscuit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by one of the sweetest hosts, who made us feel genuinely welcome. We had made a reservation, and our table was ready immediately, making for a smooth and stress-free start to our meal. I would highly recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance--two days if you're visiting on a weekend or during peak travel times. It was clear this place is popular, and for good reason. Our server, Cody, truly made the experience unforgettable. Hands down, he is the best server I've ever had anywhere. He took the time to thoroughly walk us through the menu, explain the daily specials, answer all of our questions, and offer recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality elevated our entire dining experience. We ordered the pancakes, omelets, and of course, the famous biscuits. The biscuits absolutely deserve the hype! They were warm, buttery, fluffy, and practically melted in your mouth. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious, and the omelets were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. One thing I really appreciated is that while Loveless Cafe offers a supper menu in the evenings, breakfast is served all day. That's perfect for anyone like me who believes breakfast tastes good no matter what time it is! It's easy to see why Loveless Cafe has become such a Nashville staple. Between the warm Southern hospitality, outstanding service, and incredible food, this was an experience we'll be talking about long after breakfast. If you're visiting Nashville, or even if you're a local who hasn't been yet, put Loveless Cafe at the top of your list. The 4 of us came in for breakfast last Saturday morning, with a fairly reasonable 30 minute wait…read morefor our table. Their text system for handling that was efficient and we were all lucky to find a comfortable place to sit both inside and out. Our waitress (Amanda) was sharp in terms of communication, understanding our selections, friendliness, and the ability to move a lot of plates (with food or not) without losing balance. Our table near a front corner was also pleasant and comfortable. Gayle and Erin started off with a pitcher of Mimosas, while I went for OJ and Coffee, and Jim Coffee. Our selections involved 2 orders of Waffles, 1 set of Lemon/Blueberry Pancakes, and French Toast. Meat sides were evenly split between Andouille sausage (for a little extra spice) and bacon, while eggs were either poached, scrambled, or over easy. I especially appreciated that my "Poached Hard" request came back spot on. The Pancakes/Waffles/French Toast were all light, tasty and well served by the maple syrup. It was all delicious and perhaps too much food. We were all happy with our choices and appreciated our upcoming walks to work all this off.

Once inside the staff was so kind and helpful. Our waitress was the best! They did have Gluten Free options which was very nice and they were good. I ordered the Cold Brew and it was gross. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would give it a 5 on cleanliness. I guess they allow pets so we listened to this dog bark as the owner threw waffles on the floor for him to eat. I happened to not be a pet person so this was a struggle for me + I felt bad for the dog. All those dirty feet walking on that floor and that dog was eating off of it. Didn't feel right. They did mess up our bill and we ended up realizing after that we over paid. Overall I do not recommend and wouldn't go back. If our waitress wouldn't have been amazing this would have been a 1 star review.
