Lots of little accessories for nails and hair so plenty of things you can grab to make a little at home salon for a night in with you and the girls.

The other product they do that is sometimes hard to find is Barry M, yes it's a cheapy make up brand that i never use for most of their stuff but have you tried their nail varnishes? They have every colour! Not just shades of red and pink, everything!! And it lasts fairly long too which is a big thing for me, you'd think I sat picking at my nails with a chisel the way they end up looking after an hour sometimes! As the seperate pharmacy desk they do the usual range of prescription and over the counter drugs, unlike a lot of places they'll reccomend the generic labels for OTC stuff, which are generally cheaper. The place is pretty huge and they have a well stocked Perfumes and aftershave counter they also do healthy stuff, all the usual chemisty gear as well as a huge over stock of Lynx shower gels, they'll never shift that stuff, its muck.

The staff had anonymous thumping club music turned up loud enough that the few customers in the store had to lean in to hear what the sales assistant was advising. Other than the off-putting music choice, the huge store is well stocked with enough beauty and medical supplies to treat almost anything under the Hippocratic Oath. Costs aren't out of the ordinary, although if I'm in the market for good quality beauty products, I'll head to main vendors where the mark up won't be so high.

Stepping in, the store lacks the charm of slightly better developed brands like Nourish, or the ernest seriousness of the more local single serving shops like Down to Earth in town. Thankfully, its well stocked shelves make up for the missing pomp and circumstance; this tiny shop on the lower level of The Square is bursting with vitamins, foods and alternative treatments for mind, body and wallet. Er, spirit. I was pleased to find the brand of natural peanut butter I usually buy in town is here along with an expanded line of the brand's other butters (almond, hazel... lug) -but priced the same as I'd get in the City Centre. The woman behind the counter on my visit was amiable, happy to help and ready with a few pieces of somber advice on the vitamins I was browsing. Its genuine advice, since The Health Store put its employees through a training program recognised by the British National Association of Health Food Stores (NAHS) and the Irish Association of Health Food Stores (IAHS) -something I didn't know before going in, and appreciate as a customer.
