I simply love this Perfect Pita location. I have been coming to this location ever since someone recommended to me over 10 years ago. I also have a Perfect Pita right underneath my apartment building in Crystal City and never receive the level of friendliness and quality of product I've been receiving from this location. These ladies are absolutely amazing and I greatly appreciate them always remembering my order etc. Today they were so quick with my order I couldn't even believe it was ready. For lunch today I enjoyed my usual lunch pita, "BLT on wheat". I have tried mostly everything on the menu but this became my favorite. They have daily lunch specials and take call ahead orders so don't miss out on trying when in the area. read more

So happy that I still work upstairs from a perfect pita. They're so simple yet satisfying that I frequently forget they're an option. This location is in the Courthouse courtyard, so it's really convenient if you're at the Courthouse, near the metro station, or work anywhere in the vicinity. It's small like the others, but there are 0 stools to sit at as opposed to some of the others. If you come at lunch, you'll see a gathering of people getting their orders, but the food comes pretty quickly so that group dissipates. Keep going I stopped and ordered a gyro veggie to go. It came out wrapped and in a plastic bag. it looked big. it was heavy. I was ready for a good lunch. Im still waiting for a good lunch. My sandwich was a big big glop of sauce smoothering a lot of lettuce, a few cucumber slices, some worn tomatoes and a few slices of gyro. Not tasty. Awful. Ehh. I give this spot 2.5 stars. I happened to be in the area, and I was incredibly hungry. I decided to stop by to pick up something quick to eat. I should have trusted the Yelp reviews, but alas, I didn't. I asked the cashier for her recommendation on what to order, and she said the gyro sandwich. Again, I should have known better as this isn't a Greek spot. The sandwich was just ok. Silver lining - The sandwich and a side of chips was just $9 and some change. So there's that. read more

I live around this place and walk past it everyday yet had never tried them out - my loss! A few guys at work suggested we walk over to Perfect Pita for lunch today and I tagged along since I wanted to give it a try. This is a tiny hole in the wall place but the line outside was impressive. Service is quick too - about 2-3 minutes once you place an order. Pizza is more like 10 minutes. The pitas around here were indeed impressive. I had the steak and hummus pita. I would give it a 4/5 - hummus was fresh and the pita had its own taste (good thing). The weather too was good so we sat outside and enjoyed our meal. Good place to go too! read more

We've had food catered from this establishment and I just love their hummus. Its smooth, its fresh and just plain good. The pita bread is equally good and has just the right amount of softness. They sell the hummus in Whole Foods up the street I believe. Today I tried the falafel hummus sandwich with wheat pita. Inside had lettuce, onions, jalapeno hummus, falafel and cheese. They are made to order so the sandwich has all of these inviting smells that just make you want to gobble it up in one bite. I didn't do this today, but its not for not wanting. I gave some to my colleague since I've been trying to be good about my caloric intake believe it or not, even as a foodie that I am. At any rate, giving her some, certainly was the right thing to do to lessen the guilt that its has 'deep fried chickpea balls of goodness":) Previously, I've had their Mediterranean mix which has hummus, tabbouleh, grape leaves and some pita and that is also worth trying out for those that just want to sample a variety of what they have here. This place is such a scam. The tzatziki is made out of sour cream. The falafel is a vegetable patty. The gyros have provolone cheese in them. The pitas are like thin tortillas. The hummus is watery. Obviously it is far from authentic. I normally don't mind that much if a place isn't authentic but at least don't lie about it! Don't call it a falafel if its made out of something else! I think perfect pita is a good place to grab your lunch and go - I've only ever had salads from here the first salad I had was the Mediterranean trio salad and I felt it was way too watery, I just had the zorba salad today with the 2 ounce portion of tuna and it was delicious! Tasty and filling - not the most amazing salad in the world but a decent one that I will probably be getting again, I liked that it was healthy and that the tuna was not drenched in mayo. There's usually a line during lunch hours but it goes by quickly, there's no seating so most likely you should take your food to go unless its nice outside and you want to sit on the outdoor common area tables. read more

So so so so bad. I can't believe I just spent $10 on this pathetic sandwich (+chips and soda). Got the turkey pita - rubbery, store bought deli meat, brown lettuce and a cold, store bought pita. For $10 you can't even warm the thing?? How can this s***hole have so many good reviews? Is Arlington really that hard up for decent places? I could get a better sandwich from the CVS. read more

I have to say that the whole wheat pita bread here is the best pita I've ever had. But other that that, this place is a real let-down. I had "tabbouleh" which was just watery tomatoes and vinegar with a few flecks of cracked wheat and no parsley in sight. The white bean salad was inoffensive but lacked flavor. The grape leaves were bland with unusually tough leaves, although I give them credit for being less greasy than most places. The falafel was perhaps the biggest disappointment. It was your typical dry, reheated, crumbly falafel in pita with a bit of shredded lettuce and a few slices of anemic tomatoes. Maybe the tzatziki sauce would have helped, but I'm vegan and they didn't have tahini sauce as most establishments do. I'll keep buying the pita bread (from the restaurant or from whole foods), but can't recommend anything else there. read more

I love The Perfect Pita because it is one of the few places that my fiance and I can agree on for a filling - but healthy - lunch that is also convenient and affordable. I often get one of the sampler platters (grape leaves, tabbouleh, hummus, etc.) or a salad, and he gets a turkey hummus or chicken hummus sandwich. Service is always quick, and portion sizes, quality, and taste are always wonderfully consistent. What more can you ask for? read more

I love this place. It is best for lunch and breakfast. It is also affordable and good and relatively healthy. You have the option of getting your pita on white or whole wheat., My faves are the falafel and the spinach melt. And when I am in the mood for some hummus this is my go to spot in Arlington. I also like the fact that for breakfast you have a choice of a small or large sized pita depending on your appetite. Also while you are waiting for your food you have the option to sample the free samples on hand. The staff is always friendly and efficent. The only downfalls are the hours in the evenings. I feel sorry for the people that reside in Arlington, what if you are hunkering for a pita after 5pm? And if you are deciding to go for lunch, I would advise to go before 12 noon, because the line is always outside the establishment. read more

I work across the street from Perfect Pita, and I'd estimate I end up getting my lunch there 2-3 days a week, every week. The pita bread is fresh and pleasantly chewy (I like the white a little better than the whole wheat, which is VERY "whole wheaty"), the hummus has a nice peppery zing to it, and the vegetables are always crisp and fresh. Hot sandwiches take a few minutes; cold ones are usually ready in a minute or two. My regular choices are the hummus sandwich (hummus and veggies), hummus veggie (hummus, veggie and cheese, toasted) and spinach melt. Besides sandwiches, they can make pita pizzas (about 10 minutes), and they sell salads, cookies, and their hummus and relishes to go. In an area filled with few decently priced healthy lunch options, Perfect Pita definitely stands out. The food always tastes super fresh and is satisfying without being overly filling. My favorite - the chicken hummus veggie pita. They have a good selection of hummus. I usually go with the jalapeno. I've been addicted to Perfect Pita's Veggie Hummus Pita since I used to get it in Crystal City's underground. The last couple of years I've missed out, and now that I'm in Court House it was an immediate must go, for lunch. The sandwich was as amazingly memorable, as ever. And the regular hummus has just the right amount of kick to it. I would be giving this review 5*'s, however the cost of a lunch ($2.99 addition of chips & a bottled 20oz of tea) brings the total to near $9.50. Yes, I'll be splitting this, but still, waaaaayyy to much mooola for what ya get for 1 person. :( Now, be forwarned that the store is packed, and I mean to the point you can't even get in the door to order. This place is amazing and I basically eat here 4 days a week for lunch since I work nearby. The only reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is because of how tiny it is inside with no place to sit, but even with that the line always seems to move fairly quickly. My go to items are the chicken cesaer salad (and pita), or the falafel pita. I especially love it if I can get there a bit early in the morning in time to grab a small bacon, egg, cheese pita. Seriously, whoever invited that deserves multiple high-fives and chest bumps. There have even been days I've gone to Perfect Pita several times for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. As far as fast food goes, this is as good as it gets. It is so tasty that I don't care how many calories it packs, which is probably a lot, but I'm willing to bet that it is a whole lot less than ole Wendy's over on Wilson. My only complaint is this place isn't open nearly as much as it should be. Maybe there isn't the traffic they need to make money...but I'm about to move to N. Courthouse Rd and I am going to want pita after 7pm on weekdays and on Sunday and I will have NO OPTIONS. I can't seem to get Quick Pita to come out across the bridge...but maybe that's because we keep calling them at 3 in the morning. I digress. "Perfect" Pita says it all--it is GD delicious. I usually get the steak and cheese with hot peppers, green peppers, and mushrooms. Oh the tanginess of whatever magic sauce they slather upon the fragrant whole wheat pita. Mmmm wait that's tin foil that I am eating.... Also they have Route 11 chips, which in my opinion manufacture the best salt and vinegar chippys there ever were. Shoot I'm going to have to go there tonight.... The facility is tiny, so don't plan on going in there to sit down. They have no chairs, so really, that isn't an option. As long as it isn't raining there are plenty of benches and tables in the courtyard. They also do catering, and if I can come up with an occassion, I am definitely making this happen. read more

Wow, what a small place this is. It's closer to a drive-through window than a place to eat lunch. There is no seating inside, but the outside is really nice so it's not a big deal at all. The food is really good and the portion is generous. I got the Ceaser Pita and it was a great choice. The chicken was seasoned nicely, the ceaser dressing had a great creamy flavor, and the lettuce was crispy and fresh. The pita shell itself was okay, but nothing to jump up and down about. After running into a "lunch rut" we were excited to find this place for a newer option - just hadn't noticed it before, as it is very small. I agree completely with Jack F's review, however, I am giving it an additional star, because of the staff and the price value. They were very polite, and, cared enough to smile when we ordered something - and wished us a good day as we left. I am a little confused by some of the reviews from 2009, that stated they have the "best" pita bread or that it was thick. What I had with my GYRO on wheat today, was thin and cardboardy (that's a word, right?), but, maybe that is because I chose wheat - or, maybe they serve different pita bread now. The GYRO itself, was good - except for the PITA. Which I found odd, considering their name THE PERFECT PITA - I had visions of nice homemade pita bread, but then, the price should have given it away, as it was an affordable meal, that I could have packed myself with grocery store pita bagged bread - but, the convenience of not having to make it. It was the actual shaved meat (or at least appeared that way) vs. the pre-cut slabs of perfectly sliced pieces I have been disappointed to get at some other fast food type places. A friend of mine used to get a bag of pitas and a tub of hummus for lunch on occasion, and I finally went to this place because I saw the enormous line filtering out of the restaurant when I walked by. The salads are fresh and delicious, but I didn't ever get a chance to try any of the sandwiches (I no longer work next door).
