I have had Michael cut and color my hair for at least 3 years. I can honestly say that he is the BEST!!!! I have never been so pleased with a stylist. He takes his time and always asks first "how are you liking your hair". I believe he gives very good advice about cute styles and always does a fantastic job on both the color and cut. When I arrived, I showed Steve 2 images of what I had in mind and he respectfully and kindly informed me that the styles were quite different from each other and advised which would be the better choice. I appreciated the input as I probably would have regretted the deep V-cut that looks nice from the back, and not so much from the front. Steve was friendly and ensured that I was happy with my cut. He also offered coffee, water or tea. I would highly recommend giving him a visit!

I asked for ASH BLONDE colour because I want to lighten while minimizing the redness from my black hair, and he didn't tell me what colour he used, but my hair looks exactly the same black. Second wtf?! My white t-shirt was RUINED and WET with hair dye on the back of my neck as well as parts of my skin were stained with hair dye for days and my skin was hurt from trying to scrub if off. I asked for credit card payment before the appointment and that was the agreement, but he made me pay Zelle or Venmo when it came time for payment. Then he still asked me how much tip I will pay because he has to write it down. I couldn't believe he pressured a customer to pay the tip even though he didn't even phrase it that way. Now I can't even dispute the transaction with my bank because I had to pay over Zelle. It was a coupon price of $65 which was 48% off, but I really just should have gotten just a $35 haircut for the coupon price. My hair colour looks exactly the same as my original hair colour. Like how the heck does that happen? I would have thought someone who's been a licensed cosmetologist since 1980s would be more knowledgeable and more competent than this, so I am shocked. I can't wait to start visiting Korea every year again where hair designers are actually competent and knowledgeable and premium service is the norm. I always do a round of healthcare AND cosmetics when I go back, not here. If I have to do my hair again here in the future, I will be looking for a Korean hair designer who actually knows what they are doing and able to make the customer's request come to life.

This has been my best experience in terms of outcome and financial. I previously had a bayalage…read moreand a couple of partial highlights. However, you have to keep bleaching to keep the roots fresh and color grey hairs. My hair was dry and brassy, needed dimensions, deep conditioning, and toning. I needed a lowlight or reverse bayalage. I checked Groupons to save money but sometimes you're not getting their best work because it's cheaper and they're not getting as much money or sometimes they charge more for long hair etc. I even got turned away by one color expert called "Hair by Christopher" on Groupons who told me after looking at pictures of my hair, he responded "It's more work than I want to take on.I don't feel comfortable taking it on. Sorry." He claims he a color expert and had good reviews but he was not compassionate nor caring about my situation. Anyways, I checked yelp instead. I reached out to as many stylists I could that would respond right away, educate me, would answers my questions and had good reviews. I wasn't sure if anyone was going to be able to save my hair but I knew I needed lowlights and never had one plus I didn't want to lose all my highlights either. Vivian knew what I needed and what I wanted after communicating with her and sending pics etc. She wanted to work with me and gave me a better deal than Groupon and most stylists. She listened. She wanted to help me. I trusted my instincts and she made my hair look better than I imagined. You can see for yourself. She's efficient, unbelievable at multitasking, and is a hard worker. She doesn't waste your time and her attention is on your hair at all times. She saved me. I am ever so thankful for her. I would refer her to everyone. She doesn't overcharge. She helped save me from hundreds of dollars.
