There's some serious stuff going down in Tony Peralta's shop that I've yet to physically visit in Washington Heights. I applaud his contemporary artist and graphic designer accomplishments AND his overall vision. He also has a generous dose of insane creativity, tons of passion, drive and more than enough pinches of business savvy to create his baby. ESPECIALLY- since his shop is (probably) the only one in the city of its kind.
His approach infuses commonly known icons (in and outside of the Latino and Dominican world) for his clothing and accessories such as Frida Kahlo, Celia Crúz and a few others. Other pieces just have Dominican phrases with his own Spanglish twist.
Ordering my 2 tops online was simple and arrived in no time. Fabrication is great and you aren't getting flimsy, cheap quality clothing either. When I do get the chance to (eventually) come here, I wanna shop til I drop. But I'm not frettin, because his website also contains a fantastic range of items. It's awesome Tony Peralta took his dream from a business idea to launch his own artistic empire that represents all things art. read more
