Orthopedics Associates has gone; in the same office space is the superb CENTERS FOR ADVANCED ORTHOPAEDICS, ORTHO SPECIALISTS OF METRO WASHINGTON, SILVER SPRING OFFICE. In August of 2018 when I could no longer bear knee pain, I drove out to Silver Spring. Am I a creature of habit, or am I simply loyal? That's when I first met Stanley the PA and Dr. Christopher Magee the orthopaedic surgeon. I recall watching Stanley smiling as he called the patients and slowly walking beside those who were moving with difficulty rather than walking ahead to wait for them. I recall Stanley's patience as he waited for me to put back the needlepoint I had been stitching when my name was called. I remember my first meeting with Dr. Magee. Here was a physician who, although he had heard the same complaints from a zillion patients with my condition, listened intently as if he was hearing this account for the first time. After X-rays were taken, Dr. Magee began his explanation of the treatment. The injections were painless and there was no cortisone flare, as can happen. In fact, I was pain-free for 10 months although we are told to expect relief for just 2-3 months. And now about today, June 19, 2019. After leaving my one-level Florida home, I was back in Bethesda. After two weeks of climbing stairs, the pain was back, and I went back to Dr. Magee. The women at the front desk were efficiently and pleasantly checking in patients. Stanley was still doing his thing easily putting patients at ease, chatting and preparing the medication. Dr. Magee had taken the time to review my records before seeing me. How often does that happen? Once again, he patiently listened to my tale of woe and once again the two injections were administered. All questions were answered; follow-up was discussed. Am I creature of habit or am I loyal? Certainly, a bit of both, and certainly, as long as this practice is in practice, I will be back whether it's my knee, my shoulder, my neck, or my back - all body parts that have been treated in this familiar place but now with my fairly new doc, the very experienced, able and kind Dr. Christopher Magee. Stairs today? No problem!

Not 40 or 50 minutes each appointment, 40 or 50 minutes total. I got a prescription for Ibuprofen, and a knee brace. All of which is fine, I'm glad that they didn't try to do anything "heroic". They are billing **$950** for the knee brace. You can get one for $40 at a CVS half a mile away. At no time did they ever say something like, "You can get a knee brace at a drug store maybe 15 minutes away -- or you can use our $950 model." I would **never** have taken their brace at all if I had any inkling of what the bill would be. I never imagined that they'd mark up a $40 device by a factor of more than **20**. What they're pulling is nothing more than a greedy, sleazy scam. Yeah, the office staff is nice and the place is clean with a nice magazine selection. So what? It doesn't come close to balancing their slimy rip-off tactics. Unless you enjoy getting fleeced, avoid these people.

Before making such a big decision to go under the knife, I decided to try pain management. I went through 3 iterations of steroid injections. The staff nurses were unbelievably nice and reassuring. They consoled me when I was nervous and listened to me when I told them about my pain. Dr. Ghazal was very patient and helped me understand the entire process. I would highly recommend this pain management center for anyone going through extreme pain. Holy Cross Anesthesiology Associates PA sent me many invoices. In July 2020, I was fed up and paid with a credit card. The next day, my wife told me that she experienced the same issue with Holy Cross Anesthesiology Associates, and it took her months for being reimbursed by them. A few days later, I called the billing department of Holy Cross Anesthesiology Associates PA (1-800-693-3257) to dispute the charge. A lady told me that Medicare denied the payment. Checking with her I found that, they made a typo in my Medicare #, like they did for my wife two years ago (coincidence?). Since then, I called several times, sent three messages and two letters. Still no answer. In December 2020, they submitted an invoice to MEDICARE and have been paid. On February 16, 2021, I have still not been refunded. Looks like a scam from con artists! Holy Cross Anesthesiology Associates PA should be blacklisted!

I felt heard, seen, and felt. She gave good examples and dialogue that I could absorb and understand, which I very much appreciated. I liked that I received a few MP3 audios to continue doing the work, making time to listen 2-3x daily. Even after 7-sessions, I don't feel, just the in-person sessions would have been enough. For the issue that I came in to work on, I'm still working through it. I know every individual is different and hypnotherapy works differently for each person. It's not overnight or immediate for each person to work through things. I think it's good, there is a free consultation initially to see if the relationship could move forward. If you could be receptive, if you're both a good match, if she could actually help you. But then, I was a bit caught off guard with having to commit to a 7-session package, $1225 out the gate. I felt that could have been explained a bit more in the phone call prior to consultation. I like to ease into everything in life and I'm a bit more cautious with taking a plunge, especially with a provider of conscious work. I paid in two installments; I had to leave half as the deposit for the full package to secure that I was serious about doing the work. I had to book my dates right then & there after consultation to secure doing the work sooner rather than later. She gets booked out well in advance. It took a month for me to get the initial consultation appt. Cancelling is not a good idea if you care about doing the work per week or every 2-wks, but if you must, especially on short notice, as long as you can be flexible, she can get you into a slot asap. And she can shift an appt if she gets well in advance notice. Nonetheless, I'm glad I did the work and I had a good experience with Rita. I highly recommend her for hypnotherapy. I appreciated her honesty, practical guidance, feedback, words of wisdom, emoting skills, and choosing to do this kind of work. And I appreciated that she was responsive via email, text or if I needed information.

My goal was simple: learn faster and tap deep into the creativity of my subconscious to compose music. Within the first 3 sessions, she was able to help me do just that; but then we went deeper. I discovered things about my personality and subconscious that would have taken at least another decade to learn on my own. Rita accelerated my maturity and learning process in just a matter of a few hours. We delved deep into trauma, conquering overpowering feelings of sugar addiction, confidence, and many more topics. Her expertise at seeing things from multiple angles had me viewing life from so many new perspectives that it quickly changed how I navigated the world - for the better. It was like she guided me out of the Truman Show and then equipped me with tools and knowledge to adjust and thrive in my new reality. She's super easy to talk to, incredibly wise, and one of the most interesting people I've ever met. Also, her office space is very warm & cozy; it's easy and pleasant to melt in her atmosphere. Without a doubt, I'll continue utilizing her services for years to come!
