She took the time to understand my unique needs, lifestyle, and challenges, and developed a personalized plan that was both effective and sustainable. Her knowledge of fitness, nutrition, and overall health is unparalleled. She didn't just provide me with workouts and meal plans--she educated me on why certain exercises and foods were beneficial, which made the entire process empowering. Every time I sat to discuss my goals and progress with her it was incredibly motivating, and she always know how to push me just enough to help me grow without feeling overwhelmed. What sets Lindsey apart is her genuine care and positivity. She fully understands the body-mind connection, and helped me to achieve my goals, physically and mentally. I feel stronger, healthier, and more energized than ever. If you're looking for a coach who will truly invest in your success and make the journey enjoyable, look no further than Lindsey.

The approach that she takes is a holistic one that doesn't just focus on the number on the scale. She understands that long-term changes require changes in physical habits and also a shift in mindset. The tools that she gave me allowed me to examine my relationship with food and nutrition and to also make a game plan to make healthier choices and habits to take place of habits that were no longer serving me. Her methods helped me to shift my views about fitness and nutrition away from just weight loss and inspired me to seek movement that felt right for my body. Another thing that I really appreciated is Lindsey's approach to nutrition. She showed me that I didn't have to stick to restrictive methods like counting calories. I found that after a few days of making sure that I was getting enough fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and protein, it was a positive feedback loop that helped me to keep making better choices because I felt so good. Lindsey understands that everyone has different needs to be successful on their health and fitness journey. I think that she is truly passionate about making the lives of her clients healthier and happier through nutritional education, physical health, and finding habits that are aligned with the life that they want to live.

Coaching did help me figure out some of those things, but more than that I learned to accept responsibility for every aspect of my life. That wasn't easy at times and it was really great being in a supportive group watching others learn those lessons too. But what was really special about the experience was that Cat didn't just offer support and accountability for what I thought I should be working on. She challenged me to turn my attention towards things I was actively avoiding, the things I was afraid to face. Now, I finally understand that I create all of it--the good and the bad. I joined this gym because it was convenient and close to home. At $41.40 per month, I expected a clean, safe, and professionally run facility. Unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed. My experience started on the wrong foot. When I signed up, I was charged about $180, which I was told included my first month's membership, application fees, a personal training session, and a meal plan. While I received gym access, I never received the training session, or meal plan I paid for. The facility itself is outdated, poorly maintained, and extremely cramped. There is only one cable machine, located in the middle of the gym, which constantly creates congestion. Several machines had torn seats repaired with duct tape, and broken equipment was often left sitting on the floor instead of being repaired or removed. I also regularly saw broken dumbbells left on the floor. Downstairs, the squat rack sits extremely close to the bench press and has no safety spotter arms. The assisted pull up and dip machine was also broken, with the assistance platform sitting on the floor instead of functioning. The atmosphere also became uncomfortable over time. Although the staff initially promoted a family oriented environment, I often felt watched rather than welcomed. Staff frequently swept or cleaned directly around me while I was working out, and whenever I needed assistance, I felt dismissed rather than helped. The music was consistently far too loud, and the locker rooms often had no paper towels. The incident that ended my membership was the most disappointing part of my experience. I brought a friend as my guest and paid for his guest pass. Before we even started working out, I was repeatedly asked whether I was personally training him. I explained multiple times that I was not a personal trainer and that we were simply friends working out together. During our workout, we were sharing the gym's only cable machine and taking turns between sets. While I waited for my turn, I gave my friend a few pointers on his form, something many workout partners naturally do. The manager later claimed I was personally training him because I wasn't actively lifting at that moment. From my perspective, that made no sense because we were simply alternating sets on the only cable machine available. Despite repeatedly explaining this, our workout was cut short after about 20 minutes, and we were asked to leave. Unfortunately, the problems continued afterward. The incident occurred on June 10, and I never returned after that day. I was not refunded for the remainder of that month's membership or for the guest pass, even though our session had been cut short. Then, despite the manager telling me my membership would be canceled, I was charged for another month. When I returned to resolve the issue, the manager was unavailable, and the front desk could not assist me or provide me with a way to contact him. Overall, I paid for services I never received, dealt with outdated and poorly maintained equipment, broken dumbbells and broken equipment left on the floor, an overcrowded layout, disappointing customer service, and unresolved billing issues. I genuinely wanted to like this gym because of its location, but my experience was consistently disappointing from beginning to end. Everyone's experience may be different, but based on mine, I cannot recommend this gym. For the price they charge, I expected professionalism, proper maintenance, good communication, and fair treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I would wake up in the mornings with newly swollen joints. I had a hard time walking in the mornings because so many parts of my body were in pain - my feet, knees, back at one point, fingers (could no longer make a fist or open jars or hold a dumbbell), my wrists, my elbows. I would hobble in to the bathroom and take a hot shower, which helped a bit. Western medicine had no answers for me - no clear diagnosis and no clear treatment although the rheumatologist I saw tried to persuade me to do steroids and cortisone shots (after declaring that I looked like an athlete in great shape with nothing wrong with me even as I was showing him fingers that were swollen). I wasn't down for either because I was clear that neither was a cure. I remembered a naturopath I had seen maybe five or six years prior who ordered several blood tests, and after careful review, told me that I had strong markers for rheumatoid arthritis. Both my primary care physician and Dr. Amen proceeded with my treatment as if it were rheumatoid arthritis. The only official diagnosis I got was that it was an auto-immune polyarthritic condition. I learned later that auto immune conditions present differently, which might have been part of the difficulty in diagnosing. Also, by the time I saw the rheumatologist, I had already begun working with Dr. Amen. I was skeptical with Dr. Amen at first (somewhat frustrated by the initial cost of the visit), but he convinced me to stick with it, explaining that the work he does isn't like Western medicine or a pill that works right away. Plus, he said that we could effectively eliminate all or almost all of my symptoms. I was persuaded, and over my time with them, I've made a lot of choices that have helped me achieve that goal of actual healing. I sometimes have a few pains here and there (almost all in my feet and all of which disappear after a few weeks as I keep working with Wisdom Path), and I can't wear heels anymore, but I am fully mobile and don't experience the multiple joint inflammation through which I suffered when I first started with them. I also work out regularly and became vegan. Wisdom Healing Path aided in that transition with the cooking classes that Na'Amana leads. I knew how to cook, but I needed more options. That was key in my shift to veganism. It's been about five to six years that I've been vegan. I cheated the first few years but after several strange responses to eating animal products, the last straw of which was styes and cholazeans on my eyes, I accepted that animals aren't good for me to consume. All of the work I've done with Wisdom Healing Path has fixed or significantly diminished several physical ailments I was suffering, in addition to the rheumatoid arthritis - a persistent pain in my side, eczema, hot flashes, IBS, migraine headaches, and eventually the cholazeans on my eyes. I highly recommend Wisdom Path Healing Center. On one of my early visits, Dr. Amen said something to me to the effect of, "We can cure this. If you get rid of more than 95% of symptoms, I don't know what a cure is." In my time with him, we have gotten rid of probably 99% of the arthritis and 100% of the migraines, side pains, IBS, and eczema. I now see the cost as an investment in myself. It's worth it. My only image of rheumatoid arthritis was a cousin who was wheelchair bound for all of her adult life since her early 20s. I wasn't prepared for that, so I was happy to work with them and to see significant changes in a relatively short period of time. It's a family business, and so I have watched the children grow, and all of the adults know me and my life. It's the best healthcare I receive.
