This is a Christian woman owned business. Rene is very sweet and kind. Very helpful when explaining all the stories of each item. Her son even makes the rings and jewelry, which are very unique. The store is well stocked with various items anyone would be interested in at an Estate Sale. In fact, I'm willing to bet she does a lot of Estate Sale shopping, which is cool. You'll feel claustrophic even if you're not. It is a crammed space, and the register counter is located at the front door. While you're checking out, if someone from the outside opens the door, you're literally in the way and risk getting whacked. Not sure why the lady thought that was a good place for customers to check out. The lady was pleasant and showed me an old rotary phone. It looked cool and I was interested. She told me it was a 1930s/1940s phone, which it wasn't. She would not haggle on the price of that phone, but showed me another much more expensive one that she'd easily knock 33% off of, which is an incredibly weird as she wouldn't haggle on the one I was interested in. In my opinion, if you're willing to haggle on one item, you should be open to haggling on all items unless there's appraisal documentation. At check out, she clarified I'd have to pay sales tax, which is not an issue and a given. She handed me a hand written slip noting the price with sales tax, swiped my credit card, then asked me to sign. She handed me the credit card receipt which i pocketed without looking at. I looked at the credit card receipt when I got home. I was charged a "Svc Fee" on top of the price with sales tax. She passes along the Credit Card transaction fees to her customers, and she didn't volunteer that information. While the fee was not breaking the bank, any business that passes along incremental charges always notifies customers in some way whether it be verbally, or a posted notice. It left a bad taste in my mouth as it is a poor business practice. Lastly, the lady was outspoken with political beliefs. I don't need to know anyone's political beliefs nor do I want to know anyone's political beliefs. She made some unsoliticed political comments I did not agree with, and I flat out ignored her. I understand people's passion for things and wanting to share them, discussing controversial subjects with customers is never a path someone should go down, unless you know them well. I find it best to keep certain things to yourself to not alienate consumers who are the sole reason for why you're able to operate in the first place. The owner reached out via "compliments" in a defensive manner. They have a right to defend themselves, however I am not attacking the owner personally. Any reasonable business owner must observe reviews as constructive, not destructive. Reviews are a means to help improve their business model and customer service. read more

Finally went into The Pecan after driving passed it many times and always saying, " I should check that place out". I'm so glad I did! First of all, the collection of items and array of time periods is very impressive. I have been to several antique/vintage shops-also some thrift and resale places in the surrounding area and think her store collection is hands down the best I've seen. It is mostly household items. Not many clothing options so keep that in mind.You do have to do some digging and for some that might be a con however for me I happen to love the hunt and didn't mind the digging. There are so many nooks and crannies filled with treasures galore that you want to give yourself a fair amount of time to hunt. I could have spent hours there. I felt her prices were extremely fair especially given that the quality and condition of her items were really good. She even had several items that still worked and functioned. She is also very knowledgeable about her pieces. She was telling my husband and I some of the history behind them- which again, for me is a plus! Also, If you are looking for anything specific or something from a certain a time period- if she doesn't have it she will hunt and keep you in mind as items come in. Talk about service! When I went to leave this review I saw that some people had left bad reviews. I can only share from my personal experience but I thought her customer service and shop was excellent! I have shopped at this business many times. I have found numerous unique items at bargain prices. The owner was always friendly and helpful. I am disgusted by the many horrible comments left by butt-hurt snowflakes. It used to be that liberals were supportive of strong women. This is a store you'll want to avoid (check out Lone Star Antiques instead--it is huge, includes a cute clothing boutique and a sweet little restaurant). On her now defunct business Facebook page, I left a negative review after my child noticed a vulgar sign regarding sexual assault which led to some very uncomfortable questions that a parent shouldn't have to address with a kid my child's age. When another reviewer tried to address the sign's inappropriate content, the owner responded that she was proud of that sign, and that it was funny. She regularly attacks customers that leave negative reviews IN ALL CAPS, SO YOU KNOW SHE'S RIGHT!!!! I love antique shopping, but between the classless signs, personal attacks, and junky property, I'll go elsewhere. read more

Mostly junk. I expect to have to look for treasures in antique stores but this was a bit ridiculous. It honestly wouldn't have bothered me if the prices matched the items. Most of these items were way overpriced for what they were. Which were just cheap Knick knacks. now I love me some good Knick knacks but I'm not paying $45 for something that is damaged and has no real value. They did have some nice furniture pieces decently priced but that's as about it. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This woman who owns the store is SCARY. I wrote a review saying simply that there are extreme alt-right signs outside of the store and a few months later (today) she goes through my public posts on Facebook (meaning she found my profile) to write her unwanted opinions. I am beyond disbelief with how in the world she thought it was okay to comment on a stranger's personal posts just because I do not politically agree with her. Stay far far far away from this store!! Let me make it known that this owner makes new accounts in order to 5-star her own store and deletes reviews that are 1-star. Make sure to go down to the "not recommended" reviews to see this. There were a lot more bad reviews at one point. This just shows how truthful this owner is - which is not at all. If you look on the reviews on Facebook you will see she has called her own children HALF BREEDS. Again I advise you to stay far away!! Edit again, she has tried to reply to this and I declined as it is offensive. I may need to fear for my safety from this woman. I will see how it goes. This is an update (August 19, 2018) since many have found my review useful and continue to. I would like to update everyone that I have not had any safety issues with the owner of the store. I have passed by this store quite a few times in the past year due to it being on a main road in Keller, sadly I still see some very political signs outside. I understand that the owner wants to share her beliefs, but I feel as though it drives customers away and makes people who do not particularly agree with those views uncomfortable. Attacking your reviewers who do not share the same view as you is also saddening. My suggestion to the owner would to be to put more motivational, less political signs out for everyone to see so everyone feels welcome and to not lash out at reviewers who are unhappy with the service or what they see because that can drive people away as well. I drive up and down Main Street in Old Town Keller every once in a while and rarely stop in the shops because I'm usually in a hurry to get somewhere else. After having lunch nearby the other day, I decided to chill and choose one shop to visit that day. I chose The Pecan. Like many of the businesses in Old Town Keller, The Pecan is located in a small converted cottage. It's loaded with furniture, baby items, teacups, kitchen gadgets - well, you know all the usual things you tend to see in antique stores. I don't know much about antiques, but think there are plenty here, along with 'vintage', and just plain 'old' - like every other antique store. While I didn't see anything in the antique or vintage category inside the store that begged to go home with me, outside the cottage I did find a metal sculpture that was perfect for my patio. And since it was something I had in the back of my mind to buy if I ever ran across one I liked, it turned out to be a good buy rather than just an impulse buy of something I'd 'find a home for' once I got home. How's that for rationalizing?! The person working in the store the day I went was very friendly and offered coffee. It's a nice little shop and worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

Worst antique store I've ever been in. We went in there and looked around and realized very quickly this lady/owner was mentally unstable. The prices were double what they should be on practically everything along with a lot of it being trash. Just one example...she had a metal basket thing with 3 fake succulents in it (a small decor piece) I picked it up to see how much it was and it was listed at $35! Yes $35 dollars for what would have been $15 new at Hobby Lobby! I asked her if the price was firm and she said absolutely and was offended I even asked. Stay away! read more

This establishment is beyond disgusting, not only the housekeeping but the energy. The business is cluttered, and the owner is dishonest about the authenticity of her merchandise. Not only is she unwelcoming to minorities, she is blatantly unfriendly towards those with different views. She intends to push unwanted political views on her customers. This building is not a good representation of Keller as a city, the outside is trashy and unwelcoming. The few times I have been in the pecan it was incredibly musty and dusty. As well as the last time I was there I saw several roaches. I have been inside this place twice. While they do have some neat items, they are not selling all of them! The first time, I asked the price of two items I was interested in. The response, "those aren't for sale." The second time I went, one item I bought, the other, again, "wasn't for sale." I don't get it. This is part antique/second hand store and part storage facility for the owner. I won't be returning. Also, I was driving-by yesterday and saw several anti-liberal/pro-Trump signs in front. Wow. Why is the city of Keller allowing this? This is a place of business on Main Street, Keller. What a way to turn people away! It would be the same if it was anti-Trump/anti-conservative. They did not seem to want to answer questions but instead just wanted to push their items. I was concerned about the validity of many of the items they claim as being actual antiques and that seemed to bring any good customer service to a halt. That speaks volumes as far as I am concerned. My mom and I wanted to look around this store after eating breakfast at 7 mile. We walked in, no one was around and we were surrounded by political propaganda before we got to see any antiques. I know antique stores are eclectic but this was pretty difficult to navigate from booth to booth. My mom (not meaning any harm or intrusion) accidentally wandered into a corner because she thought something was cute and out of nowhere the owner pops up and exclaims that THIS IS HER OFFICE! Needless to say we did not purchase anything from the store and my mom was embarrassed and offended at the brash reaction. If that is your office then make it look like one, not a pile of random objects. And don't yell at patrons for mistakenly looking at your precious precious Donald Trump memorabilia when you're nowhere to be found and we can't tell what's for sale, what's trash and what are office supplies. I h.ave passed this location in traffic or with family that do not have the appreciation of history To my surprise their was a abundance of spiritual quotes, feeling down, i needed each one. The Attendant was not pushy, offered to help when i needed it, she went about her duties. I am a vendor ,thrift store expert, (IMHO) from Philadelphia Pa, visiting DFW, for a wedding. so i left the coffee shop across the street and visited this beautiful, simply arranged d shop. I went inside and felt a spiritual vibe, a warmth, a comfortable feeling, like i was at home. i felt the wonderful spirit of the creator and the former owners of the goods available here. there are a many site seeing Keller in Keller Texas and surrounding counties, but this one, was the best, i got to feel, western gear, locations, harnesses, hats, that a northern city boy at age 63 has only envisioned in dreams. I will be taking the shop settles back with me, The 4 album of the Declaration of Independence, captured my eye, unbelievable cost, frame medals and more. I don't car what any one says about this museum of love, i would invite everyone in the unbelievable , area, to make this must make stop!The education about items, awas amazing! Years later, every time I pass by, I think about how this lady treated me. I think about how she used to have bible verses written on all her signs. How before my encounter with her, I thought The Pecan could be a safe spot, a quiet place by my old house. After that, I knew I could never go there again, but why did she act that way? Why does anyone act that way? I thought christians were supposed to love everyone, regardless of their race, gender, or sexual orientation. I'm sure I'm not the only one to say, after she started hanging absurd amounts of Trump signs, I didn't want to come close to that building. It wasn't safe before, but it definitely wasn't safe after that. She is most definitely trying to make sure that a very specific market base shops at her store. I am all for having your own opinions, but I never did anything wrong to her or her dusty store. If you want to be the boss with your expensive products and low quality items, by all means, good luck. All you are doing is spreading hate and making Christianity look awful. My wife had some things on consignment there that were for sale. We drove up one one day and saw that one of her items were was placed outside as if it were just junk.. The fabric had been aged from being out in the 102 degree heat for who knows how long. I couldn't believe how they treated my wife's things.
