Anxiety, traumatized from past abuse, typical adoption case. He's also my first dog and in becoming a dog owner four years ago, I learned all that goes into taking care of one. One main issue is he's got long hair (specifically his tail) and the B.O. of a sailor lost at sea. The first place I took him for grooming was rough. The woman I handed him to had this harsh, cold demeanor and the whole place had a tense vibe about it. My dog is already a stress ball and this didn't help. I learned about K9 Loft on a whim -- I drove by it. Place looked cool. Spacious. And moreover, the employees I spoke to were rather welcoming, nice and knowledgable. I set him for an appointment to get bathed and groomed with a woman named Vickie and I will now only take him to her. I don't know exactly what it is about her energy but Boomer seems to be more relaxed around her. For that reason alone, I bring him here. It also helps I pick him up smelling nice and looking good.
