Where to begin saying how delighted I am with Amanda's pet sitting services? She is simply the best. I leave this review knowing that I may actually be placing myself at risk for getting spots with her. She is that WONDERFUL. She is EXACTLY what we were looking for: professional, trustworthy, gorgeous, communicative, mature, responsible to the nth degree, kind, friendly - and my cats immediately took to her. She is the type of person that I am COMFORTABLE having in my home while I am away. I trust her to look after my beloved pets and my home. I loved her from the first "interview" - which was amazingly easy to set up. I have had her sit for my cats for over a year now - and whenever I came home - the house is lovely and just how I had left it. Pet areas are always tidy and clean as a whistle. She is fantastic. As a matter of fact - the cats didn't even come downstairs to greet me anymore after I had come home - they are that content. I found Amanda right here on Yelp after using a number of other "highly reviewed" pet sitting services in the valley - and feeling disappointed with each. The real difference between using Amanda and one of the other "highly rated pet-sitting companies is that although they may have a fancy web site - they use a number of different "sitters" to care for your pets. Some of them are OK - some are not. One sitter didn't clean well. Another owner told me not to text after a certain hour (really?? I travel globally). Another didn't leave out water for my pets! Yikes. These other pet-sitting companies' always seemed to have constantly revolving sitters - and the quality control was just never there (sorry - but it is true). I simply needed things to be done right by someone that I could count on. Traveling is already a hassle without having to jump through hoops with a pet sitting service or worry about who will be in your home. When you interview with Amanda - you are interviewing with the one and the ONLY person that will be in your home, caring for your pets. Please don't tell her this - but I would GLADLY pay double what she charges ... make that - "whatever" she would charge - to look after my pets and my home. read more

You know your cats were treated well when you arrive home and they're happy to see you, but HAPPY. I enjoyed Amanda's photo reports (via texts on my mobile) and getting updates during the week. I knew my cats were in good hands before I left for my trip and that Amanda could competently and compassionately handle their special needs - which are primarily that they're spoiled rotten, but there was "pilling" involved. After my last cat care person became unavailable, Amanda was referred to me by a friend. Amanda took care of our two cats while we were out of the country for ten days. When we returned, while the cats were happy to see us, they clearly had been quite content during our absence. There were no signs of distress, anxiety, or unhappiness while we were gone -- just two very happy cats. Amanda also collected the mail and watered the plants for us, and when a smoke alarm needed a new battery, she took care of it. Catmanda is FABULOUS!!! She was recommended by my long time pharmacist, a known animal lover, and instantly my 2 dogs loved her..truly!! My dogs don't always warm up to people so easily, but Amanda has such a warm vibe that my dogs adore her. Initially Amanda came by for a greet and meet and I felt good about leaving my pups with Amanda. In fact the first time I hired Amanda, she stayed over and the dogs slept with her, just like they do with me. I was initially nervous because I was out of town for a week but she sent pictures via the phone to assure me that the dogs were OK. Since then (about 2 years ago), I hire Amanda to walk my dogs when my family is home but when I am out of town. My boyfriend and I have 2 children but the dogs don't get their much needed attention when I am out of town. So Amanda has my key and stops by to the walk the dogs. My children actually get jealous of Amanda because when she arrives the dogs get so happy and excited. Besides walking my dogs, she plays with them and gives them a snack after their walk. Amanda is absolutely the best! She has always been so kind, lovely, and caring of our sweet kitties. If you are looking for someone you can trust unequivocally with your beloved pets, she is fantastic. Only great things to say about Amanda. From the moment we met her we felt comfortable bringing her into the family. She is able to handle walking four crazy terriers at once and was a terrific house-sitter when we were out of town. We have specific feeding requirements so that all four of our 'people' enjoy their meals. One of our 'people' wears special pee-pee pants so when he lifts his leg in the house it doesn't make a mess. Even after we rescued a "troubled" dog, who would growl and hide from any stranger, Amanda took the extra time to work with the trainer and us and everything worked out great. Best dog-sitter ever! My dogs are the most important things in my life and I am very picky about who I trust to care for them. I would not leave them with someone I did not trust 110%. What a blessing it was to find Amanda. I have total confidence that she takes as good care of them as I do. And they agree - they get silly with happiness whenever she comes over! And in addition to my own dogs, I foster for a rescue, so the residents of my house and their needs are ever-changing. Amanda is the best!!!!! An absolutely awesome pet sitter!!! I have three cats who mean the world to me. I have never boarded them. I had a cat sitter but recently moved, so I had to find someone else. This was hard...the thought of trusting my fur children with someone new. Well, the first time I met Amanda, I knew I had something truly special here. She came over to meet my babies before I had to go out of town on business.
