We got our puppy, Gary, 2 months ago and quickly realized we were going to have to figure something out for when my boyfriend travels several times a year. We had never brought our other dogs to daycare- they had various reactivity issues- but Gary is so young, we figured we'd give it a shot. He LOVES going to Paw Haven. I can't believe how sweet the team is to him- they even open the door before we reach it and yell "Gary's here!!" He has so much fun, and even made a BFF (should out to Milo the poodle!). I can't tell you what peace of mind it gives me to be able to watch him on the live feeds and Instagram while I'm at work. They're running a really great operation, and this is coming from a crazy helicopter dog mom. The space is clean and bright, the pups are under constant supervision, and the team truly cares. I'm really grateful for Paw Haven Hotel and how they take care of my Charlie!He gets along great with the staff and is always happy when he's there, which gives me a lot of peace of mind when I travel. They're great with communication, I get updates on Instagram and texts, which I really appreciate. When Charlie hurt his foot (small cut prior to his arrival at day care), they handled it so well and helped it heal quickly. All of the staff is great, and Tony deserves a special shout-out! He's great with Charlie and has been working with Charlie for a while. They also give great baths, and he always comes home clean and happy. For the love of God, if you have a bulldog--especially a French bulldog--do not take them here. Not only is this place overpriced for what is supposed to be a low-maintenance dog wash, but the quality of grooming is extremely poor. I paid $55 for a grooming, and because I live 15-20 minutes away, I was also warned about a $15 late pickup fee, which feels unreasonable considering the heavy traffic in the area. When I picked up my dog, he was still dirty and shedding excessively. He had tear stains, his face and nose were crusty, his feet were dirty, and unbelievably, he still had poop on his butt. On top of that, I had to educate both the groomer and the owner about something very basic--French bulldogs have tail pockets/corkscrew tails that need to be cleaned. When I got home and checked, his tail pocket was dirty as well, so I had to clean it myself. What really doesn't make sense is how my dog was supposedly "fully groomed" in 25-30 minutes. Every other groomer I've taken him to takes at least an hour and actually does a thorough job. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. If you have a bulldog, save your money and take your dog somewhere that understands the breed and provides proper care. ----------------------------------------- This photo shows the amount of loose hair I was able to remove myself once I got home and brushed him. That should not have been the case after a full grooming service. I'd also like to clarify that the nose crust was properly cleaned at home using a warm washcloth to soften and break down the buildup. During our conversation, I specifically mentioned that the tail pocket was not cleaned, and that debris was coming out. I was told this was from the anal glands, which is incorrect. Bulldogs have a tail pocket that must be cleaned separately from the anal glands. Failing to clean this area can easily lead to yeast infections, irritation, and odor, especially if an owner is under the assumption that it was addressed during grooming. This is why proper breed knowledge is so important. While I do appreciate that the fee was waived, I also want to point out that the wash took significantly less time than expected, as I had just arrived home shortly after dropping him off. My concern is less about the cost and more about the quality of care and breed-specific knowledge. I'm sharing this not to be confrontational, but in hopes that you and your staff take this as an opportunity to better educate yourselves on bulldog grooming standards so other owners don't experience the same issue. ----------------------------------------- I want to clarify a few points, as my intention was never to go back and forth, but to be transparent about the experience. I was not going to spend additional time at your facility analyzing the work. I trusted that the service I paid for, basic or not, would meet acceptable grooming and hygiene standards. Once I got home and brushed him, it became clear that it did not. Loose hair should not be coming off in clumps immediately after a wash, and there should absolutely not be fecal residue left on a dog's hind area after any grooming service. Regarding the tail pocket I informed your staff that it was dirty, and I was advised to take my dog to the vet. For a bulldog, this is not a veterinary issue unless infection is present--it is a grooming responsibility. Anyone with basic breed knowledge understands that tail pockets require routine cleaning to prevent yeast and bacterial growth. Suggesting a vet visit instead of addressing it reinforces my concern about a lack of breed-specific education. Yes, this was a basic wash. That does not mean the job should be rushed or incomplete. Basic grooming still includes proper cleaning of hygiene-critical areas. I should not have to instruct groomers on fundamental care expectations, especially when this is the service your business provides. I appreciate that you offered to redo the wash and waived the late pick up fee, but my concern remains about overall quality and hygiene standards, not cost. This feedback is being shared so other owners, especially bulldog owners, can make informed decisions, and so your staff has the opportunity to improve training and breed education moving forward. read more

The second we pull into the lot and open the car door he FLYS OUT and doesn't look back and by the time we pick him up, he's all smiles and ready for a nap. I was really hoping to like Paw Haven but my visit today left me disappointed. The facility is entirely indoors, which I was hesitant about, but they offer outdoor walks for an additional fee. My 10-month-old puppy is very good about not going to the bathroom indoors, and I wanted to make sure he was comfortable, so when I dropped him off I specifically asked for the $10 walk. When I picked him up seven hours later they told me there had been a mix-up and although he was scheduled for a walk, it never actually happened. They offered to give him a free walk next time, which I appreciated, but it doesn't change the fact that he was there all day without any chance to relieve himself outside. They assured me he had gone to the bathroom inside, but based on how frantic he was in the car and how many times he relieved himself once we got home I have my doubts. It's frustrating and irresponsible to offer a paid service like this and then fail to follow through, especially when the consequence is my dog's comfort for an entire day. I understand mistakes happen but when caring for animals, especially young ones still in training, reliability is not negotiable. --- After posting my review, the owner replied publicly within minutes using almost the same wording as a private message she also sent me, which feels scripted and insincere. To be clear this wasn't a scheduling error. When I picked up my dog they confirmed the walk was scheduled and just never happened, which is way more concerning to me than if he'd mistakenly been left off the schedule. read more

Where do I start. We were so worried about taking our Bruno to doggy Daycare. It was his first time interacting with other dogs, other than taking a walk. I have to say this was the smoothest process. My husband called asked questions and filled out information online. When the day came Bruno was excited and went right in. RJ's favorite place to be away from home! I love the staff and owner at this doggy bnb. He always looks happy, socializes with other dogs and has a few best friends there. He comes home tired so I can relax after a long day of work and gladly runs in when it's drop off time. I was sad when the old place I took him closed down but after the first day at Paw Haven, I knew I didn't have to worry anymore. Tony is amazing with my baby and RJ loves him. We've been boarding our large (105 lbs) senior dog at Paw Haven for a few years now and I can't recommend them highly enough. They're great in dealing with his particular habits, how he prefers to be fed, getting his medications to him, and they always remember him (and us) -- the personal connection is the best. They're extremely helpful with check-ins (often texting us pictures if we ask). They have a parking area right behind their storefront so it's simple to park and bring your pup right in. Paw Haven is the BEST boarding facility Ive ever found. I've tried at least 7 different places over the last 10 years & I'm truly in awe with the care & attention they pay to the animals here. I had my dog stay at other, bigger, more known boarding facilities & always had issues whether they didn't have enough people watching the dogs or the place wasn't that clean or sanitary or they wouldn't feed my dog & I would pick her up later looking all thin & frail. Paw Haven was such a BETTER experience! They take such good care of the animals & really care about their well being. I left my dog there for a while when I was traveling & my baby girl was so happy there. You could tell because she would eat regularly, play, get outside and get sunshine & all the love. I almost wondered if she even wanted to come home with me. Just picked up my not so friendly Dutch Shepherd from boarding for the very first time and was so so happy with the service! You can tell from my dogs reaction alone that she was in a stress free environment. I would get videos daily and updates whenever I just wanted to check in. Took my puppy for the first time to get groomed and she came back with her leg hurt. It's been a week and she's still not walking normal. When I called to ask if she had gotten hurt, the lady said she must of jumped out of your car. She didn't even do that when she was normal. We haven't been able to pick her up because she cries I didn't call you two hours after. You sent me a text at 3:34 that she would be ready in 5 minutes. We got there maybe 10 minutes after. I called you at 4:16pm to ask what had happened with her and that's when you said she might have jumped out of my car. If she would've gotten hurt when she was with us I wouldn't be writing this review. Let me know when we can stop by to view the video footage of the 4 hours that she was there. I asked about the sedating because as I mentioned this was my 1st time taking her to get groomed I didn't know that it was illegal. This is the cleanest friendliest and most accommodating place in town. I recently had a situation where my regular Doggy Daycare was unavailable due to family emergency and had to find someplace to bring my baby while I was working same day. By emailing my vaccinations record to the front desk, I was in an out of there in 10 minutes or less with a video link to be able to watch my baby throughout the day. Naomi was at the front desk and she was so very professional & efficient with us and loving towards my Molly. Need to call during my lunch hour and spoke with the owner, who preceded to send me a higher definition, that clip of all of the happy dogs that I could watch and send to my family. My mind was put at ease in so many ways. Knowing that the staff is highly attentive and responsive and easily reached. We will absolutely be returning here on the regular. And the pricing can barely be beat... they were not the first phone call nor the first stop I made between late night and early morning. But they were absolutely hands down the best choice. paw haven was AMAZING and here's a few reasons why: they accommodated us literally so last min we had to go out of town and I'm so glad they did. we have 2 very big cane corsos and a lot of places charge for their extra large size and rooming but Paw Haven made sure our boys were comfortable for the best price, Rose did an amazing job at sending us picturess everyday of our boys and while they were on walks. Paw Haven offered to walk our dogs twice a day which meant a lot because they're used to that structure. the staff was amazing with them and when I went to pick uo my dogs they were obviously so loved by everyone there. I travel a decent amount, and my rescue was always anxious whenever I tried to board him or leave him at a doggy hotel. Then I found Paw Haven... wow. The staff and owner are amazing. You can tell they truly love dogs and care about their safety and well being. That was the first time I saw my dog relax and enjoy himself at a dog hotel.
