I'd much rather drive the 40min one way. Rather then to deal with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. My last encounter will most certainly be my last visit. Firstly the lady told me after I paid the $300; that my dog needed to be conditioned but had informed me the groomer had forgotten to do so!!! Also she complained that my male should be neutered and that "he's not show dog material" "he tried to get his balls cut off several times today". My female dog for some reason had bad anxiety and was even skiddish (which Is not like her; she's never been skiddish before around anyone) going here as well. She even went potty on herself while being caged up once here i was told. Which is very odd seeing as my dogs are both very well mannered and trained. They've NEVER done such a thing before. Not sure what occurred. However based on a previous review I'm seeing I wouldn't be surprised if they had hit her. It would explain my dogs odd behavior. Also they weren't even properly shaved; their hair was patchy and ears uneven. My husband who is a barber had to go back and fix them once home!! Ridiculous!! Stay away from this place it's not worth the money nor the lack of manners! Side note: they're also not taking any COVID-19 regulatory precautions. No masks or gloves etc.

DOG GROOMER WARNING: This post is not meant to slander anyone or their business, but simply to warn…read morethose owners who get their dog groomed at this facility. I have been taking my dog recently to Doggie Doos off of Greenway and Horizon. He is always pretty skiddish when it comes to grooming with people he doesn't know, but it has seemed to progressively get worse each time we were going there. I wasn't sure why. Today I took my dog to a different local groomer because they had an appointment time that worked better for me. I used to go to this groomer all the time, but it got quite pricey. Anyway, when we got there my dog was immediately terrified and cowering like I've never seen before. I left and got a call about 45 minutes later saying they wouldn't be able to groom him because he was to terrified and acting out with fear aggression. When I got there, they were asking where I have been taking him. When I said Doggie Doos, their jaws dropped. They were telling that now they understand why my dog is acting the way he is and why he was terrified even just seeing the lead that goes around their neck while grooming. She proceeded to tell me that the groomer at Doggie Doos hits the dogs or pops them on the head with the clippers when they aren't listening. She stated that a groomer who worked at Doggie Doos now works at this other facility and was telling her all of the horror stories that occur there. I now have to make an appointment at this other facility to where I can stay there with my dog and comfort him while he gets groomed. This makes me so sad and infuriated knowing that something bad could have possibly happened to him while in the hands of someone else. Please just be aware and do your research for the safety of your animals. I'm truly not sure if anything did happen as I did not see it myself, but just seeing how fearful my dog was today I have no doubt in my mind that something bad more than like did happen to him at Doggie Doos.

Sad that I have to come update my review after having such a great experience for the past two…read moreyears with Ananda. I schedule my next grooming a month in advance each time and wasn't advised Ananda was no longer there until I arrived for my appointment in April. I was very hesitant to let someone new groom my dog but was assured the owner knew how to cut him the way I liked and that she wasn't going anywhere so he'd have a consistent groomer. I shared pictures of inspo and detail on how I wanted him cut but when I picked him up he looked nothing like what I asked. I didn't make a fuss and just figured maybe it was my direction. The second time I again shared what i wanted and referenced the photos also sharing what I didn't like from the previous experience. This time, he came out looking worse. His face looked like a lemur but with a double chin of hair. Again, super far off from what I expected and I was immediately unhappy. Not to mention, at this appointment they raised their price again for the 3rd time in less than a year. I paid, tipped and went home. The more I looked at my dog the more disappointed I was to where I had to put clothes on him to help the bad cut. Finally, I decided to message the groomer and express my disappointment and asked if she could fix it before our vacation the upcoming weekend. When I took him in, the energy was off. It was as if she wasn't upset with me for asking her to fix the cut she messed up on. No apology or anything. I knew at that moment he wouldn't be returning here. Very disappointed in my service after being a returning customer every single month for the past 2 years. And then, I hadn't cancelled my upcoming appointment yet but I received a text from Barkingham saying due to "unforeseen circumstances" they cancelled Rocky's next appointment lol he wasn't returning anyway (clearly) but it's the energy I was referring to as if I did something wrong by nicely and respectfully sharing my dissatisfaction with a service I paid $80 for. Again, just extremely disappointed that I even gave this business my money had I known that I would be treated this way for voicing that I didn't like how they cut my dog when it wasn't what I asked for. If this is how customers will be treated I definitely recommend taking your business elsewhere. It's not right. The owners response is odd. I'm glad I have screenshot photos to show her actual response with no apology or offer for corrective appointment. It was me asking for it. No apology was provided when I reached out and no apology was provided in person. When I brought him to his first appointment after Ananda left and I was made aware in that moment I was assured you as the owner knew exactly how to cut him and exactly what I liked. The owner assured me he was in good hands and she wasn't going anywhere. So this response is odd. And a different groomer is for a sure a better fit and that was already my decision to make. However, paying $80 for an uneven cut with my dog looking like a lemur wasn't going to suffice so I asked to just have him evened out all around. Pictures won't even show how he was all chopped up under his neck. 1 photo is before he was corrected after the terrible cut and it's clear he looks choppy and not like I asked. The photos the owner mentioned are "after" the corrective cut are from a previous grooming clearly because how did his fur magically grow back in all around his face? This is false advertisement and I never consented to having these photos taken or posted online. Again, as all potential clients can see none of the response was ever communicated to me in the texts of our communication shown or in person hence my review. I've referred a number of people to this establishment and will ensure I provide everyone an update on this experience.
