Went here on a non-game day so it wasn't crazy busy. The food was pretty basic but good (tater kegs rule!) and tasted fresh. Drinks were fine and cold. The only real issue I would say we had was that our sever, a guy, had ZERO personality. I have no idea what his name was since he never told us and there was no conversation other than taking our order. I will say that he was really attentive and took good care of us service wise but I had to wonder is if was maybe his first time as a server since he was very reserved. Holy Flying Baseballs!!! Catch the ball game and enjoy great outdoor dining at the same time! The Patio Restaurant at the Hilton Garden offers seasonal casual outdoor patio dining, which overlooks Northeast Delta Dental Stadium (Home of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats) from along the left field wall (outside the admission gates). You can watch ballgames and practice sessions with GREAT VIEWS of the field. The Patio opens at 4:30 PM (11:30 AM for Sunday games) and can seat around 250-300 people including patio table seating, high top table seating and bar area seating (with TVs). Seating is open to the public on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis. There's also live jazz entertainment on the weekends too. Since the Patio is located approximately 400 feet from HOME PLATE, just be on the LOOKOUT FOR BASEBALLS that may be flying into the Patio! The food menu offers pub fare grub such as appetizers, salads, soups, chowders, chili, pizza, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, entrees, kids menu, and desserts offered at moderate prices. Beer, wine, and cocktails are available from the Patio bar. I had dinner here recently on a Game Night, while I watched the visiting team do their practice session out on the field. I started out with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder ($4) served hot in a thick creamy broth with lots of minced clams and chopped potatoes. Next, the Maryland Crab Cake Sandwich ($8) served with decent shoestring fries (salted) with pickle was pretty good. The pan fried crab cake was crispy outside and had a soft flavorful texture, though the toasted foccacia bread was slightly burnt along the edges. For dessert, the Apple Cobbler ($7) with vanilla ice cream, topped with caramel & whipped cream was served hot in a martini glass, which was a sweet dessert and a bit messy. The service was attentive with the waitress checking up on the meal and complementary refills on soda offered. The delivery of the food took awhile, but that was fine since the first pitch of the game was in 45 minutes. Some people will grab dinner and drinks and head into the ballpark, while others will "take their time" and hang around for the game. PARKING: On game days/nights, the hotel parking lot is manned and Patio customers get free game day/night parking based on availability. What happened to The Patio tonight??? The Portland Seadogs are in town and the bar and restaurant weren't open for service. It was BYOB and BYOF or door dashing it for food. It was so weird. I understand it's hot out but at that time it really wasn't that bad. But to not have the bar open was really odd, the hotel is losing out on $$. Why are people ok with not working or businesses losing money? Just weird and very disappointing that they didn't capitalize on this Fisher cats v Seadogs game. read more

Hopped down the cape this week for Carnival in PTown. Thought it would be impossible to find a restaurant during this enormous gala. Lucky us after only a 15 min wait we were seated inside. Would have preferred the Patio but beggars can't be choosy! The staff are sheer entertainment not to mention helpful with their recommendations. I opted for a signature dish of The Patio fish tacos. Two huge soft flour tacos with fresh moist fish w it ha fresh side salad with a Fabulous cilantro dressing ...Yummy!! For you mojito lovers they have quite the selection. In summary: Surprisingly good and a great view (even without a game), The Patio is a decent choice when you want a nice drink and straightforward food. In the daytime, I consider it quite kid friendly. I can understand at night (based on the excellent cocktail menu) that it might be less so. Ended up there by chance on a sunny Saturday. Had SeaDog Blueberry (with blueberries in my pint glass, yum!), but they had very tempting cocktails. Menu is simple. My cobb salad was great and included a unique dressing container. No problem with bringing a kid provided we didn't sit at the bar and they have a modest kids menu. When we wanted a substitution (fruit for fries) they provided a most excellent fruit bowl. Husband had the sausage on a bun - it is next to the ballpark - and reported it to be just as it should be, with no fussy marinara. Because of the excellent view and the easy off-street parking, I look forward to returning again on another sunny day. read more

This review is tough to make. I have now been to The Patio twice, both in the past week. The first experience was fantastic, we had a waitress named Jodi and she was everything you could want in a server: attentive, friendly, and encouraging us to have a few drinks and relax. In our second experience, our waitress was Valerie. Valerie was the polar opposite of Jodi: rarely stopped by our table, took forever between drinks (even mentioning that she's "pacing" us by taking all day in between our order and bringing the drinks to the table), and was not particularly friendly or talkative. The atmosphere is great, the beer list is solid, the food is good, and there may not be any better way to watch a ballgame, but make sure you get the right server if you go here. read more

This is one of the best hidden, under visited, spots in Manchester I think. On a nice sunny day you can't find a better patio to sit on, while being in the middle of the Fisher Cats stadium. So cool! Recent warm, sunny Sunday afternoon, the place wasn't too busy. The waitress was attentive, polite, and accommodating. We sat at a table, but the bar looked really nice. I had the salmon salad with mandarin oranges, figs, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. and it was phenomenal for an entree salad. My boyfriend had the classic burger with onion rings. I had a bite of both - onion rings were hot and delicious. The burger was one of the best I've had. Big, juicy, cooked perfectly. We'll definitely be back. Only had a draft beer, so I can't speak for the cocktails, but I will be trying them soon. They all sounded good and perfect for summer afternoons. Two requests: add a few more healthy appetizers, or more apps in general, other than cheesy nachos and fried veggies and add sweet potato fries to the menu. read more

The Patio was our saving grace last night. We left two restaurants prior, and New Hampshire was leaving a sour taste in our mouths. Drinks were good (but a little pricey), bruschetta was amazing, salmon was fantastic. Husband was happy with the steak tips, and they even made up a side of fruit as requested by my four year old. Dessert was ok, nothing to write home about. Waitress was friendly and attentive. One star taken away for the pricey drinks and the bugs! read more

Food was very good for casual food, my Mobly Burger was huge, cooked right and tasted very fresh, hand made patty not a frozen one. My wife had the chicken salad wrap with cole slaw, wrap was huge and very very good, slaw excellent also. I had 2 drafts at $5 per, good value, however my wife's Cosmo was horrible, we basically paid $10 for a glass of Cranberry juice served in a wine glass, the bartender must be a fill in or something, never had a drink this bad. If they made a decent drink we would have ordered a second but we will never,ever order a cocktail here again. read more

What a great place. On a whim, we decided to try to get a table here when there was a Saturday night baseball game on. We showed up 45 minutes before the game and I thought we were screwed because the area around the ballpark was packed. First, the fact that they have complimentary valet parking on game nights was AWESOME. We got to the patio door and we're told there would be a 30 minute wait for us (a group of three). Turned out to be 40, but we then got the perfect table, right at the fence of the ballpark. I couldn't believe we get basically free admission to the ballgame (would have been $45 for 3 tickets), and amazingly good seats at that. The waitress was very nice and helpful, and was apologetic and gave us free chips and salsa when our food took over 45 minutes to come out. The food was very good, and not that expensive. Would definitely recommend trying this place, though we did notice virtually no one left while the game was on (when we left, every single person who was there when we got our table was still seated), so show up early or not at all! read more

If I'm being totally honest, it's a cool bar if you're not a guest and you're too cheap to buy a ticket to the game. However as a premium priced hotel bar the service is God awful!!!! Expect to be treated like a kid standing in line at an ice cream truck. The vested interest of the wait staff is to get rid of you as quickly as possible. 4 stars for the food and 0 stars for the service. I went on a night when the fisher cats were playing and the service was complete amateur hour. From the hostess who wasn't hosting, the bartender who was my "waitress" and the rest of the staff running around like they were in a fire drill arguing with each other, the whole experience was not acceptable. I mean I had to go to the servers station to pour my own water and get utensils after asking since the servers went MIA. Uhh...I hate to be so "ho hum" about such a great spot to catch the game. Here it goes. First off, BRING BACK THE BRUSCETTA!!! It was so good. Spent Saturday night at the bar of The Patio to enjoy the game. The place was busy, and was a great night out for the atmosphere. The service was slow at the bar, even with two bartenders. They must have been understaffed, because they spent more time at the hightop tables than the bar. Unfortunatly, I ordered my beer and margharita pizza from the bar back. The pizza was wonderful, and the beer very refreshing. Staff, again was very sparce, and took a while after I finished my beer to get a new one. I noticed paraphanalia being handed out, and I asked how to get one. The bar back mentioned a free tshirt with any mojito ordered. So, wanting a shirt (I am so into free stuff), I ordered a mojito and a clam chowder. the chowder was slow, and I never got my tshirt. I left wanting three drinks, and only being able to order 2 in the three hours I was there. I recommend going during a week night game when the crowds are able to be handled by staff. read more
