I was a little worried because there wasn't anyone else in there, we may have just been in at an off time. It did fill up as we were leaving. The waiter was very nice and patient as we looked over the menu. There were tons of options, but they didn't have a combo plate which is usually my go to. The chips seemed like they were home made and the salsa was delicious. We decided on the shredded beef flautas, enchilada rojo, and steak and chorizo street taco. The flautas were good and had a nice crisp to them. The beans that came with them were a little dry, but the rice was really good. The enchilada was good. The sauce was a little on the sweet side and could have had a little more cheese in it. The street taco was ok, I don't know if it was the steak or the chorizo, but I didn't like the seasoning on one of them. Over all it was good. I liked that they had a lot of lettuce for garnish on the plate, so it gave it a nice "fresh" component. We will definitely return!

I loved that mine had those delightful dark cocktail cherries. The burger with bacon was excellent, as were the hand-cut fries (although I was disappointed that they didn't do truffle fries, especially since I could smell the truffle oil on the next-table-over's flatbread). I got a side salad with homemade blue cheese dressing that was generous with the cheese. They even provided our son a side of carrots and cucumbers with some ranch dip--he loved it! Good vibes and enjoyed the display of guitars! I did wish that they had had booths available, since our toddler was quite tired and we ideally wanted to hang out for longer while he took a snooze.

We had guacamole and chips and the guacamole was the best I've ever had. Chunky and flavorful and so much of it. They served it with chips and cucumber slices. The guacamole on cucumber was really nice and light and healthy We also had the warm elote which was also stand out. Sooooo flavorful!! For the main dish I chose ceviche, as the server recommended it. I'm a big ceviche person, but I found it to be too different and I actually left most of it and chose not to take it home. The ingredients were good and fresh. It was served more as a cold soup than transitional ceviche, which doesn't contain a lot of liquid. See photo. I appreciate this place doing new types of food in a community that has limited ethnic culture and choices. I'd return to try more. In fact, we must return for their mud pie, which is make of home made cookie dough crust and coffee ice cream. Service was friendly, but food took much longer than it should have.

We shared to two, and fortunately my wife was full from the tacos so I got more than half of both.

Baffled by the fantastic reviews. Have these people never tasted delicious Mexican food? I've…read moreeaten a LOT since childhood and this isn't it. You have to have your standards (rice and beans) on lock. Tasteless rice, beans that tasted too greasy (I suspect bacon). And the salsa was underwhelming. They gave us some roasted stuff that barely had flavor and not the green kind I saw in some other reviews. I got the pork green chile and it had a TON of flavor, but was slightly too salty. Eaten with the beans and rice, it kind of balanced out, but I didn't like the smoky flavor of the beans. My partner's steak tacos were DELICIOUS, I will say. The best bite I had, and the pico de gallo on top was a delight. I wish I'd been given that to dip chips in. It was still a shame that these wonderful tacos were accompanied by the same beans and rice that mine had. Portions were not generous for the price. The ambiance was decent. The bar looked cool. The prickly pear marg on special was good, but in a tall pint beer glass instead of a margarita glass. A little too sweet for my taste. My boyfriend got a Mexican-style beer and it was good enough, nothing to write home about. Service was okay. I would have liked to have been provided both kinds of salsa or at least offered the option of another kind. He didn't refill the chips and salsa, and we had to ask for more salsa. I did like that they provided Crayola brand crayons for kids! Most places cheap out there. We had a great time decorating the burro coloring sheet. Bottom line: If you want great Mexican food, pass on this place. If you want to drink mezcal, DEFINITELY stop here.
