Chicken Tandoori Tikka, rice comes with on the side, $20

Update: I received a 36 hour food poisoning from here... the food was so good initially, but man, it caused havoc on my body for a day and a half after

Saag paneer, chicken korma and mango lassi

Padpad with chutney is the Indian version of chips and salsa, a great appetizer. I recommend the saag paneer and chicken korma. My daughter would choose the Mango lassi over ice cream any day. Big portions but expect higher prices.I'm gluten free and they offer a lot of great options. Our favorite restaurant in Spearfish.

Garlic Naan, Paneer Masala, it doesn't get any better than this. Stopped on a whim, and was very happy I did - so darn good!! Would recommend it and will be back again! Only regret is forgetting my leftovers on the table!!

A little over priced, but pretty good. I had chicken vindaloo, which was tasty, but the sauce was pretty thin.

The food was fresh and tasted good. Don't order 5 stars unless you're into pain! Some places don't make it that spicy but they do

Lemongrass - Steak Fried Rice

Lemongrass

(11 reviews)

We were in Hill City for 4 days checking out the sights! We had our poodle with us (as we always…read moredo) so we needed something pet friendly. Most options in town were bars with burgers. Not really our thing. Noticed Lemongrass while we were walking around and thought we'd stop in. They were very accommodating for our poodle- immediately brought a water bowl for her. Our waitress took our order quickly. We had the steak entree with fried rice and vegetables and the shrimp entree. Both arrived quickly and were very good. We finished the meal with chocolate cake! Excellent service and very good food!

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant as something different…read more We arrived at 6:30 and left at 7:20. We waited for 10 minutes for someone to take our drink and food order. Drinks arrived, and from that point on, we waited. My husband ordered the chicken salad, and I ordered the Steak Fried Rice. No one approached us to refill drinks or talk to us for 30 minutes. The server finally informed us that she was sorry for the wait; however, they had run out of fried rice, and they were quickly making some in order to fill our order. The manager, I assume, then came over and assured us it would be out in a few minutes. We waited another 10 minutes and finally walked out. As of now, my review is this. The place is clean, the ambiance is okay, the service is horrible and I have no idea how the food tastes. At this point I would NOT recommend eating at this establishment until they learn how to run a restaurant properly. If they had come to us and told us they were out of fried rice, I would have ordered something else. They should have at least come out sooner and given us a choice.

My transaction is done and my order is up! I've tasted the labors of Hayl Storm Luncheonette before with the Cheese & Charcuterie Plate and the Schnitzel Sandwich prior, but today, today we feast on a Cuban Pork Sandwich. Paper plated. Napkin tucked. Fork in hand. I delve into the mixed green salad (I passed on the pomme frites this time around). Verdict. The Greens are tasty. The oil and balsamic that it's been tossed in, fantastic, balanced. Now, the sandwich, the main course, the reason we're here... (Approaches the Sandwich Guy Fieri style... Elbows up) ....the bread, toasted. Superb. It doesn't damage the roof of the mouth like some baguettes would. ....the pork, juicy, flavorful, and succulent. ....the pickles, sweet (as they should be). ....the dijon, that proper amount of spicy, the nasal heat one would expect. All and all, what I would expect from a proper Cuban. It takes me back to ABQ and a particular Cuban Family restaurant that I regard in high esteem. They keep me coming back, and I'm glad I've been able to experience this Luncheonette. They're solid and have a patron for the remainder that I reside in RC. The review is done but the food is not. So I'm going to leave you all and indulge my senses. It's good. So stop reading this and come get a meal from this little eatery. You won't be disappointed.

One suggestion:!They need to invest in some to go containers instead of putting food on a plate and wrapped in tin foil...
