I brought my parents here this weekend, and they loved it! My dad spent a good hour just looking through their wine, and the girls working in the wine section were always available to help him find what he was looking for! To friends of mine that have never heard or been to this place, I describe it simply as "The mecca of alcohol". That is precisely what it is, any type liquid you can imagine is sold here. They have the largest supply and variety of beer and liquor that I have ever seen. They also have a walk in refridgerator that houses kegs and selected beers. There is also a seperate humidor for cigars. It is good to go here and stock up because Kentucky does not tax alcohol or tabacco. It is right across the river from Cincinnati, and 2 minutes from the I-71 exit. Even if you don't drink, they sell items that can cater to any kind of party. Party Source, Oh how I miss you!!! I moved to Connecticut a couple years ago and made the assumption that I'd be able to find something with at least a similar selection to the Party Source. So, so wrong. Whether you're looking for an obscure wine you read about, a hard-to-find microbrew or that wonderful cigar you had that one time; the Party Souce has it. How I miss the days of mixing and matching six-packs of hand-picked microbrews to take home and spend the weekend sampling and comparing. What else can I say? The biggest party & keg supply, beer, wine, in-house bar/brewery, cigar shop, hobby brewing supply, four-walled store of awesomeness around PERIOD. If you want any specific genre of liquor they will have it or order it for you. Their prices are competitive or cheaper than most anywhere else. This isn't like a tattered run-down liquor store covered with barred windows that you might find elsewhere in a shady part of town. Not here! This is like walking into Best Buy for the first time every time you enter. Except now you're 21+ and don't have to be fake friends with that awkward older coworker you always gave just enough money to- to cover your suitcase of Natty Light plus his/her pack of smokes as a finder's fee. This is a great liquor, wine and beer store. The beers lately are not quite as dated as they were in years past. Huge selection of fine craft beers. The downside beer wise is that 8 Ball brewing is gone. Braxton Labs now runs the in house brewery. Way too much of their stuff and far too much foo foo beer. But a great selection of craft locally and nationally. Bourbon and Scotches are well represented as well. And some great tequilas. Cannot address the wine department other than to say, it is huge. read more

My 23 year old boyfriend went to buy alcohol and he looks younger than he really is so he got ID'd which is reasonable but she then scanned it and it passed and she then proceeded to ask for ANOTHER form of identification but had to show his birthday....like a passport or birth certificate. Not just something with his name on it like a credit card. Absolutely ridiculous and so rude to do to someone when the id worked as it should. Will not ever shop here again. read more

Party Source also has the best cigar selection in the Tri-State (KY, OH, IN). Every year they are the only tobacconist who gets all of Cigar Aficionado's Top picks (except Cubans of course). They have the best cigar tasting in the city every Tuesday too. They do not carry many cigar accessories however. read more

I spoke with Mrs. Nash at customer service to have a special bottle ordered for an event. She was able to quote me a price and get the bottle in promptly and even called me when it arrived. Party Town used to be my favorite liquor store in NKY, but ever since they expanded, Party Source has upped its game and taken over as number one. I can't speak for any of the wine (no thanks!) or most of the spirits, but I do like the Bourbon bar. It's a great place to try a small sample of that rare whiskey that you've always wanted to try. When I go to Party Source though, I'm only there for the beer! Oh boy, do they have a ton of beer too. Danny the beer buyer makes sure the place is stocked with everything that's even possible to get. He brings in some rare gems too, which is awesome. Danny and the rest of the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. One of my favorite things about Party Source is that you can buy many of their beers online. Since I live pretty far away, I can just order stuff online to make sure it doesn't sell out before I get there, then go pick it up the next time I'm up that way. The Party Source is the 5th largest seller of alcohol in the country. The selection there is unbelievable, whether you like wine, beer, liquors or any other type of alcohol. They also have a good selection of party accessories and some interesting food items, but the main draw there is the alcohol. Ohio and Kentucky both have some strange laws regarding alcohol so there are some thing you can only get in Kentucky (plus it is cheaper). Now if you live in Ohio you can get the party source to ship to your house if you do not want to go there, however if you live in Kentucky they cannot ship to you. The staff is always very helpful there. Danny Gold is the best there with wine and craft beers, but the other staff are good too. If you are looking for a wine to bring to something and have no idea what to bring, find one the of wine people there and you can describe the event and the price range you are willing to spend and let them recommend something. I have never been disappointed when I have done this there. read more
