The shop is very well organized, toys are well kept and wrapped nicely together, and there were a lot of luxury brand clothing, gently used. They coin themselves they are West Hartford's finest children's consignment shop. The pricing was fair for most items (toys, decor, etc), but clothing seemed a bit high. They do have a rewards/loyalty program which I signed up for--I got 10% off my first purchase AND $5 off. Also, if you are local or close by they have 10% off Tuesdays. The young ladies that rang us up were very nice. I'd likely visit again since the shop is very clean. A lot of second hand children shops are cluttered, disorganized, and have a strange smell. I do love Max & Lily's Closet's mission to go green and reuse.

There was a section with "plant lady" gifts for the friend or loved one that is talented in the garden. It's located INSIDE the Main Street Market building. There is, conveniently, a large parking lot with access from the backside of the building. There is also street parking in the front as well, look for the big sign "Main Street Market," sandwiched between Perk On Main and Pokemoto. Parking is $1/hour or free on Sundays.

So many books are only 99¢ and any book priced at $4.99 is BOGO. And I was told that any book without a special price label is 50% off the retail price listed on the back of the book! Another cool thing that they offer is, let's say you find a book for $4.99, but can't find another book you want for $4.99 to take advantage of the BOGO, they will give you a voucher good for a free $4.99 book on your next visit! How awesome is that! The employees were so sweet and helpful, too! The owner introduced himself to me and we chatted for a while. When I told him how happy I was to find a book by Alan Watts that I had been searching for he then told me that he had a few more by him that weren't out on display yet and grabbed them for me! Exceptional customer service. There aren't many stores like this because it's not like your regular bookstore. The books range from metaphysics, philosophy, eastern religion, holistic/alternative medicine and so much more. I really can't wait to go back! Oh, and just a quick tip. It is a little hard to find. The store was organized and the staff were friendly. They also have a play area; it's an indoor playscape with toys. For open play, it is $10 per child for 3 hours on specific days and times. They also hosts camps, parties, and classes; these are offered in partnership with The Little Green Tambourine company. The events involves baking, arts, crafts, various activities, and exploring. I have not purchased tickets for the play area or events yet but look forward to it. I did shop around the store and they had some quality products but it is on the pricier side.

From the giant brick sculptures to the build-your-own minifigure station, everything in the store was bursting with creativity and color. I could've easily spent hours just exploring. Whether you're into Star Wars, Harry Potter, architecture, or classic sets, there's something for every kind of builder. One of my favorite parts was the Pick-a-Brick wall, yes, a wall full of individual LEGO pieces in every color and shape you can imagine. It's like a candy store, but for builders. I also loved checking out the display sets, they're seriously impressive and gave me a ton of inspiration (and a longer wishlist). The staff were super friendly and clearly just as enthusiastic about LEGO as the customers. They helped me find a retired set I didn't even think would still be available! I walked out with a new set under my arm, a huge smile on my face, and the excitement of knowing I'd be spending the evening building. The LEGO Store is the perfect stop for fans of all ages and let's be honest, building bricks never goes out of style. Can't wait to go back!
