Sadly, after i picked up my mug and took it home to have a cup of tea, it cracked when the hot (not even boiling) water was added. When I called and explained what it happened the person at the store just said that that "sometimes happens with pottery" and "the only way I could've avoided this was to get the stoneware glaze". They did not offer to have me come back in and redo a new mug. None of this was explained to me when I was choosing the glazed selections for my mug or when I picked up the mug. I knew one of the glaze that I picked was not food safe, but I was careful to put it on the outside. When I picked up the mug after firing, there was no paper insert with care instructions. So I guess I'll be going to a different pottery place to replace the mug at my own expense and asking more questions like "can I put tea in this tea cup?" next time. One star for spending $32 plus tax on a mug that broke before I could enjoy it and that no longer holds liquid. Buyer beware.

I looked over different papers and found variety in patterns, textures, and thickness. I was looking for paper to make a couple Easter cards and found a few I liked. I went with two patterned papers that were double sided (different pattern on front and back). I also went with a firecracker red and a textured white. The plain colors were for me to cut out flower shapes in the spirit of the holiday. My total for all four pieces of paper came to $5.67 and my cash payment method was accepted.

Not just that, but the sketching supplies, calligraphy, paint brushes(especially Princetons, shocking that the Princeton brushes are wiped out completely except for maybe a handful of brushes, but all the cheaper ones like W&N Cotman & Artist's Loft were in supply a-plenty. I know that's not the employees fault, plus we DID just have Black Friday & Christmas, and New Years sales so maybe that's why it was wiped out (just havent gotten a shipment in yet I hope?). I'm hoping to come back in the future after a while and see if it's fully stocked again, or if that poor store just never gets to new shipments in of their painting supplies. The layout of this store is not intuitive. There were cricut items in 3 different aisles that weren't even near each other. No rhyme or reason. With a store this size, they really need to adopt the Home Depot model where you can look up an item and it tells you what aisle to look in. I was trying to make a craft that I had found on tiktok and I could not find most of what I needed. Spent an hour looking to just get 3 of the 12 things I needed. They were out of weird things too, like all of their scrapbook paper that looks like wood/flooring was gone. And they didn't have green paper. They had a spot for dollhouse mirrors but none available. They seemed to be out of stock of most things, other than the cheesy decor. The prices are great, but the customer service, ease of finding things, selection, and availability keep me dreading a trip there.

I didn't want the standard arrangements that you see so often at funerals and COLs. Liz was exited to create something unique and personal for us. My mom loved Hawaii and loved the Pacific Northwest, so I asked for tropical arrangements, PNW arrangements, and a large display that included both. Liz did that exceedingly well! She even included horsetails with the PNW look, something that is very unique and not typically part of any arrangements that I have seen. I appreciated being able to talk to her on the phone when needed, as well as the quick response I got an emails. On the day of the event, we were short one arrangement, so her team put together an additional arrangement on the spot. The final bill surprised me! I thought we would be paying much more than the final amount turned out to be.
