You will be so happy with your choice to eat here! The food was hands-down amazing! It was some of the best food we had on our entire trip. Everyone working there was so kind and friendly to talk to. They even helped us identify some ingredients in what we were eating so we could try to make it at home. The place is quaint and fun to look around after you eat. We ordered a very eclectic plate of food to share. Eggplant parmesan that was made like lasagna, potatoes au gratin, and savory slaw. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, it was the best coleslaw I've ever had, and those potatoes were easily one of my favorite foods of our whole trip!

Zoe of The Pantry is amazing. She knows what she is doing. We asked her to cater a rehearsal dinner for us with her colleague Susan doing the service. Although a small rehearsal dinner - the food hit it out of the ballpark. I gave Zoe the likes and dislikes of the guests and she nailed the menu - We have been eating Pantry food for ages so I knew exactly who I wanted to have cater our dinner. Zoe's crab cakes were out of this world - As we have always said, The Pantry Crab Cakes are the best. Chicken with Tomatillo sauce for others along with farm fresh corn cakes, tomatoes and so much more. Wow! The trio of Sorbet was amazing.

An explosion of taste and A++ food. Love the fresh bread--the best tuna and chicken salads and knockout cookies like the midnight snack.

Delicious food, charming staff, astoundingly slow service. Minimum wait is 15min, sometimes considerably longer.

Our party of four spent over $800 celebrating my mother's birthday. A few hours after the meal, my brother became seriously ill, and because I had also sampled his chicken dish and later experienced nausea myself, we were concerned the illness may have been related to the meal. When we contacted the restaurant to share our concerns, the conversations with management were disappointing. Joanne spoke separately with several members of our family and asked whether my brother had gone to the hospital, undergone testing, or had proof of illness. When I asked whether the restaurant maintained food safety documentation, I felt the question was viewed as accusatory rather than as part of a reasonable concern following our visit. Overall, the interaction lacked the empathy and reassurance we had hoped for. No refund, credit, or acknowledgment was offered. As longtime customers who have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones here over the years, the response was surprising. Beyond the health concern, the overall dining experience felt noticeably less positive than in past visits. The bread exterior was very hard, and we noticed other nearby tables eating only the soft interior. The vegetables served with the scallops were tough, the pasta was dry, and most of the dishes (except for the pea soup) lacked flavor. The deserts were lackluster, though the goat cheese cheesecake was delicious. The cheese board appetizer was presented without explanation of the cheeses or accompaniments. Crumbs were not cleared between courses. While our server was friendly, we were repeatedly asked whether we had finished dessert, which made the evening feel somewhat rushed during a birthday celebration. The server also spent time discussing personal matters during service, which distracted from the dining experience. We had to find someone to get our coats otherwise we would've walked out without them. The ambiance at Community Table remains beautiful, which makes the experience especially unfortunate after so many positive visits over the years. Unfortunately, after this experience, our family will likely celebrate future special occasions at other restaurants in Litchfield County that we feel provide a stronger overall dining experience.

The sourdough bread with fresh butter is an absolute must. Don't even think about it. Pasta bolognese was the top two we've ever had. The other being in Miami. The vegan dish kinda blah and super messy and oily. I'm grateful to have a veg option but wouldn't order that again. Sadly, we had no room for dessert after stuffing our faces with bread. It's a lovely restaurant in the country for those lovely Connecticut days when you're meandering about,

It was fried, crispy on outside and moist and delicious on the inside. As far as drinks we got the loong island iced tea( NY Accent) and an espresso martini. I loved mine b/c you could taste the cawfee. The main course was difficult, I wanted a comforting meal but the burgers looked sooo good. After we decided to share the pot pie because it never disappoints and the horse filo is funny as sh*t- It makes me smile. Overall great lunch with the hubs, great views perfect day..

We came here because it was highly recommended and the ambience was great. In our first visit, our food took forever to arrive and service was very slow. I ordered the Reuben and when I went to pick it up, there was a large hole in the other side of the bread and the whole thing just fell apart. . The pastrami was very dry and just not very good. Aside from that my wife's meal was very good and we had a beverage and enjoyed the ambiance. This time we went and felt that we had lucked out because there was no one in the place. Our first mistake was, we sat at a high top in the bar, but it was too close to the door, so it was very cold. Every time the door opened the cold air with flow in. I put that on us for choosing a poor seat. The waitress promptly came over and took our drink order and said she would be right back to take our food order as we were very hungry. We waited and waited and it took a while for her to arrive. It looked like she forgot about us and quickly stopped by the table after walking past And asked if we were ready and took our order without writing it down. About 10 minutes later someone else came over and said I'm trying to confirm your order because it was not written down and make sure that we had ordered was ordered properly. The place had hardly anyone in it and not all the tables were taken so we expected our food to be received rather quickly however, after about a half an hour, we started seeing the tables that came in after us were receiving their orders and we still had not arrived. We both had ordered burgers which didn't seem that complicated. After about 15 more minutes, and since we'd been there, almost an hour we still had not received our food. My wife finally went up to the bar and mentioned something to someone there and she said she would go check on the kitchen. She went into the kitchen and immediately came out with our food. Strange? So we basically waited almost an hour for our food and it appeared to have been ready in the back and just sitting there. When we first tasted our food, it was not warm at all. The fries were cold and soggy, and my both of our burgers were warm not hot. This convinced me our order was there and never picked up. At first we thought about sending it back but then after waiting almost an hour, we decided just to eat it and leave. I feel bad having to leave a bad review but it is what it is and that's what happened. I would understand if the restaurant was overly crowded but like I said there was many open tables so I'm not understanding what was the issue. They were running food out, but these runners seemed a bit confused. After two tries, I'm not sure we'll try it again because we like the other place in town up the street just as much. We traveled almost an hour just to go here. There are places that are closer also much better and actually in town.

We started off with warm olive bread with whipped butter (perhaps the best butter we've had) and a chilled melon, mint yogurt shooter amuse bouche. We then moved onto the yellowfin tartare and Arethusa Farm Dairy artisanal cheeses featuring a variety of their delicious cheeses, including their acclaimed Gouda. For our mid course we had the braised duck dumplings, calamari stuffed with squid ink risotto, and sweet corn and ricotta agnolotti. This was our favorite part of the meal with the calamari and agnolotti being standout dishes for us. For entrees we went with the tamarind glazed black cod with black rice and lemongrass sauce and the pork tenderloin. With finished off with the famous Arethusa Farm dairy ice cream (mint, strawberry, and sweet cream chocolate trip) which truly channeled the essence of farm fresh and ended what was a delicious feast of flavors.
