Always my favorite place for breakfast, I first ate there in 1995. I had the smothered breakfast burrito with the Italian sausage. Once I tried something different, it was good but not as good as the breakfast burrito in my opinion. I always get the burrito. Lots of choices like salads, hot and cold sandwiches, main courses with me, omelets for breakfast, cereal, breakfast plates, mexican stuff, cereal and the usual options to drink, with burgers. My brother and I ordered the Bruncho, the Huevos Rancheros and a hot chocolate and raspberry iced tea to go with them. Both plates were super salty. The sauce they both had, was the same, and that's what was really salty. My actual sopapilla was decent and the stuffing inside (potatoes, egg, peppers, ham) was good. There were pieces of chicken in the sauce which were ok. The hashbrowns were ok. The huevos rancheros honestly just looked like a plate of gravy, and not the usual colorful plate of fresh veggies, guac, a taco shell etc, I'm used to. Again, the saltiness of it kinda lowered the taste of the dish. The hot chocolate was too sweet but I liked that. The iced tea was good. They have the old time billing machine up front and I think have more recently added the credit card machine. Decent prices. read more

This restaurant is really good! I can see why it gets quite busy during lunch hours. I got two items: the chicken enchiladas as well as the veil. Chicken enchiladas: the chicken was quite tasty as it was not dry compared to other place's chicken. It was also smother in green chile which gave it a little kick. I also got the country fried veil (I do not remember exactly what it was called) but this was really good! The meat was juicy and smothered in cream gravy. I've been going there for 30 years. The breakfast burrito is my favorite, which I have eaten about 75% of my visits. I still think it's the best one in town and their green chili is my favorite among lots of good contenders. The lunch items are good and prices are great. read more

The portions are very generous and the prices are low, around $10 for a whole big breakfast plate. The only thing I had not like is the cinnamon roll, the texture was off. Sometimes is hard to find a parking lot, since is downtown and they don't have their own parking lot. I ate at the Pantry a couple of times many years ago, and wasn't very impressed. Lately a friend of mine who's in the food business here in town has asked me to join him and his wife for a late breakfast several times. When a food service owner continues to go to a particular restaurant, that says a lot to me. I have to admit that I was at first hesitant, but the place is considerably better than I had remembered. The service is always attentive, the restaurant feels (and smells) clean, and my breakfast has been cooked exactly as I requested. Flies everywhere, everything looked so dirty, I seriously was waiting to see a RAT run past me. We will never eat there again! When paying our bill the cashier asked how everything was and I was honest with her regarding the flies, service and food. Needless-to-say she did not like our feedback as her reply was "Thanks for making my day". I had such high hopes due to all the stellar reviews. So, when I bit into the most tasteless food I have ever had in my entire life, shock isn't the word. The chicken fried steak was a soggy fried hamburger patty flattened out with a gelatinous mass of what was called gravy underneath it that had zero taste. The fries were limp. The only thing that did have flavor was the salad and the dinner roll. The only thing that comes to mind would be nursing home food, because it was just so tasteless. I took three bites from the chicken fried steak, and did eat the limp fries because I was hungry and potatoes are potatoes. I don't recommend eating here, unless you want tasteless food. read more

Never seen this in many diner visits. Guess mom and pop are not into fruit or vendors refuse to deliver fruit to Pueblo for some reason. This breakfast area was open during covid19. While it was nice to eat with family the breakfast itself was ok. I could have made this at home with little effort. The service was great and made this a nice experience. The coffee was weak but I'm not sure if that is a Colorado thing because coffee at the hotel was also weak when it was supposed to be dark roast. What a great little nook! My bf and I had egg salad sandwiches with fries and a pickle (just the way Granny makes it!) for $7!! The restaurant is little, the staff are adorable locals, and they have little nic-knacks you can buy as "Pueblo souvenirs" at the register.
