However, it was clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. They lost our original reservation, which we had made months in advance. I called a couple days before our stay, and they were very helpful to get us the room we wanted at the original price, even though they had raised the prices in the interim. Price was very reasonable, despite the fact that most lodgings in the area were price gouging for the eclipse. Just a few issues. We had to pay cash, as the card reader was not working. Fortunately, there is an ATM in the lobby. The WiFi was out, which was not a problem for us. Also, there is no free breakfast, contrary to what the website says. All told, not a bad place to stay for one night.

We immediately left the rooms to speak with the night shift attendant on duty, who rudely disregarded the advice that there was certainly a bed bug sighted in the room. She continued to claim the rooms had just been inspected within the last month and that there was no way they could have bed bugs. She then insisted we could not be refunded for the rooms, despite the very brief visit and said "we don't have bed bugs, we're not giving you back the money and there's nothing you can say or do that will change that". During my first visit with Greg, the owner, I knew I wanted to do business here. There was no high pressure sales pitch or shady business dealings. Greg had a genuine interest in what my plans are and shared invaluable information. Not only did I get a lesson in vehicle engine types and state laws, but also small business ownership information too. After a few visits, test drives, inspections and insurance quotes, I'm ready to wheel and deal, to sign on the dotted line. It was truly the excellent customer service - Greg's professionalism, business knowledge, and referrals that had me convinced I had found my vehicle. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, depends on how you look at it, timing is everything.
