This place is an absolute gem! The coffee here is fresh and delicious, it is locally roasted, which is amazing. On top of that, their food menu is incredible; the Down Easta sandwich is a absolute must-try. Knowing that all their products are locally sourced makes every bite feel extra fresh and thoughtful. The overall vibe is unbeatable. Sitting back with a fresh brew while taking in the super relaxing river view is the best part of my morning. A cute cozy cafe that was near the Airbnb I stayed. It serves coffee, pastries and sandwiches. It has many options and flavors that accommodate every restrictions. The baristas are so sweet! The food tastes really good and the prices were average. A must visit if anyone is in the area! There's also a nice seating area inside and out. As well as gift shop upstairs. It was that sort of weird mid-afternoon time when it's past lunch and most diners are closed--and there I was driving along on my way to Machias, where there's not much along the way, and famished. Out of nowhere, going through the tiny town of Cherryfield, there was the cheerful green building that is the Paisley Loon, with their "open" sign fluttering in the wind next to the river. And it was open at 3pm! It was the perfect spot to grab an iced coffee and a quick sandwich: I had the grilled cheese, which was exactly what I needed. It was busy, with other folks sitting at tables and working locals stopping by to grab things to go. There's a range of coffee drinks, sandwiches, pastries, and ice cream--nothing fancy, but all done just right. Super friendly staff working too. What a great find, and so good to know there's a friendly little place to stop when you're traveling this way. Highly recommend! read more

This place has the charm, the charisma and the smiles that we've come to love about Downeast Maine. It's located alongside the river in the quaintest little town, situated inside a historical home with gorgeous woodworking and a beautiful view. There are just a few seats inside (order at the counter) and a couple of picnic tables outside. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and there's a side counter with items for sale, from local artists and crafters in the area. As for the food, I want to review the entire menu but honestly....I just can't stop ordering their BLT! I get toasted white bread with extra mayo & it may be the simplest of sandwiches but I dream about eating one each time we come up here. It's a 90 minute drive from our camp but worth every second! Perfectly crisped bacon and a handful of fresh greens make it 100% drool-worthy. The hub has gotten their Blackwoods panini a few times which he loved. Always toasted just right, melting the cheese and giving him a nice warm bite. My one "complaint" is the door....it's a push and I always pull since doors are usually that way for fire safety. I don't care though...for this BLT I will risk it and jump from a window if I have to! Highly recommended if you're traveling around Downeast!! read more

This place is a hidden gem! We fish near Cherryfield all the time, and never noticed this! We stopped in to escape the cold and immediately were hit with the smell of aromatic, smoky coffee beans. The staff was friendly and chatty, and immediately showed us what stuff they had. We ordered a Coconut Caramel latte and a Matcha latte, as well as a hearty and filling oatmeal bowl each and everything was to die for. The coffee, oh my the coffee! Tasted just like the place smelled. I could spend hours inside this cozy little place with a warm cup of that latte in hand. We will definitely be back. I tried the Paisley Loon iced latte (sea salt, caramel, toffee nut) and it was absolutely delicious. My mom and dad tried the Narraguagus iced latte (dark chocolate and sea salt) and it was just as good. Really good price for an iced latte. Great kind workers, they asked us to try the drinks to make sure they tasted just right. Cute atmosphere and love the little pastry's in the shelves. Best coffee spot around. read more

I gotta say this is a creative unique name for a business. Stopped in here for breakfast sandwiches their jalapeño cream cheese is not joke and super delish, and their club sandwich. Coffee was EXCELLENT. Interior was lovingly restored with a nice selection of books and outside tables right by the river. The Yelp pics do not accurately portray their menu offerings. We were on our way home and not familiar with area. It is cute , attractive place with great location. The staff were friendly! They had gluten-free bread for my husband who had nor'easter breakfast sandwich. The hash brown potato patty was not good. The bacon looked like precooked bacon you buy but wasn't cooked enough today. I had the cherry field turkey panini on sour dough. It was SLU ed deli turkey, with a single SLU e if scheme that wasn't melted which led me to think a panini press was it used or used incorrectly. There was a single other thing on the sandwich. Nothing else came on the plate , Chip or a pickle? Maybe the person taking order should ask do you want any chips with that or anything on that sandwich. We didn't eat most of what we got. They had a sign on the door about new management was in transition so maybe it will get better. Cute place, clean, nice people, food needs work. There were 3 baked items.
