The cake was just fabulous! Extremely high quality chocolate and everyone loved the cake. This could be my favorite chocolate cake! Cannot wait to order more.

Would of gotten 5 stars if I had more of a selection of cakes to order for my husbands birthday. Location was tricky to find and didn't realize it wasn't on the Main Street and you need to walk to an outdoor mall almost. Had the choice between chocolate or carrot cake. We picked carrot and it was honestly the best carrot cake I have ever had. Nice cinnamon taste to it. The inside shop had no pastries on display and almost didn't think it was a bakery though. The 4 stars really go to how well the cake tasted.

Very sweet business owner... we were waiting for the coffee shop next door to open and the owner of painted pie came out and offered us a free cup of coffee. We were amazed by his amazing work of freshly baked pies and scones! We walked out with two yummy yummy pieces of quiche!

The chicken-to-waffle ratio is about 5:4, which means you get plenty of crispy, flavorful chicken with every bite instead of running out before the waffle. It's a hearty, satisfying breakfast that strikes the right balance between sweet and savory. Cozy - This is a small, welcoming restaurant with seating for around 30 people inside, plus a few outdoor tables. The intimate setting creates a relaxed atmosphere that makes it a great place to enjoy breakfast with family or catch up with friends over coffee. Portions - Come hungry. The portions are enormous and may be the largest you'll find on the island. You'll definitely get your money's worth, and many people will have enough left over for another meal. Why five stars? Great food, generous portions, friendly service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere make this an easy recommendation. It's the kind of local breakfast spot you'll find yourself wanting to come back to before your trip is over. Pro tip: They do not offer a military discount. Pro tip: The menu is extensive, so don't hesitate to ask your server for recommendations. They know the menu well and will happily point you toward some customer favorites.

So I was directed across the hall to the marketplace where I got the coffee. The guy making the coffee was super friendly, and very patient since it was my first time there. OMG! If this isn't one of the best kept secrets in Stone Harbor I don't know what is!…read more We went for a late lunch early dinner. Drinks were fantastic. I got the shrimp wrapped in bacon with a cream cheese sauce. Melt in your mouth goodness. My wife got a pulled pork sandwich with Carolina style sweet sauce and slaw. Amazingly tasty. I got the gourmet burger with pepper jack cheese. Yummy. Great meal and great staff. Cool vibes throughout the place. We really enjoyed our meal on a perfect day dodging rain drops outside shopping. Made the rainy blues just go away.

She forgot to tell us about the specials, but other than that, she was great. We started with cocktails and some little neck steamers, which were amazing and the vegetable egg rolls which were delicious. Highly recommend both of those appetizers. For entrées, we had the cappellini and crab pasta. I can't emphasize how good this was. Also a huge portion so my wife had it for lunch again the next day. I had the bacon wrapped scallops, which were very good. It's a smaller portion (3), so maybe normally an appetizer, but it was plenty for dinner for me.

I had my wedding here in May 2008…read more I don't know if you are can find a nicer and less expensive spot down the Jersey shore to have your nuptials! It was fairly recently renovated, and the place is bright and airy with very nice hardwood floors and renovated bathrooms. The kitchen isn't updated but that shouldn't matter as long as you are having caterers bring everything to you. The nicest thing about the civic club is that you can hire anyone you want! This is very different from a lot of hotels and other venues, which come with their own lists of acceptable vendors. We were going to get married on the beach (after getting our permit through Stone Harbor) but it ended up misting all day long, so we had our nuptials in the club facing the doors. It wasn't exactly what I would have chosen, but it was okay. If I had to do it all over again, I would have been prepared for a rainy wedding day, and made up a little spot for us to get married with some christmas lights strung up, etc. This is a great spot to have a DIY beach wedding, and I highly recommend it! You may have some trouble getting through when you call them (they aren't the most responsive). Be persistent; it's worth it!

Any more than 80 guests and I don't think it will work for you. The cost was very reasonable. You have to throw in an extra $200 to have a guy set up and then take down their tables and chairs. Also, you have to clear the place of all your garbage yourself which can make the end of the event a little hairy. Our friends were great and they helped with everything. I remember seeing my old roommate hauling a big bag of garbage to a dumpster on his walk back to the nearby hotels, which is another plus of this location. Another huge benefit is they have a sound system you can hook an iPod or computer into and that's your DJ. Plus, they don't make food. So you have to get an off-site place to cater. Anyone who's read Bridal Bargains knows that's good for your wallet. We went with Island Grill in Ocean City and I have reviewed their performance on Yelp. Overall, I am very happy my wife wanted to get married here. She made a great call.
