We ordered a chocolate chip cookie cake for my daughter's 7th birthday along with come cookies to decorate, and we were beyond impressed with how delicious everything was, especially the chocolate chip cookie cake itself. Even 3 days later when we were eating the last piece the cookie still tasted fresh and delicious. The cookie was moist even after three days, and dry out and taste stale like most cookies do after being left out for so long. The frosting took each bite to the next level, and served as the perfect sweet compliment to the cookie. I also grabbed some chocolate covered Oreos, and boy were these beautifully crafted and over the top decadently delicious. This storefront is a bit hidden, which is kind of the perfect metaphor for this hidden gem. They do such great work, all their cookies are nut and sesame free and they're so tasty I got some custom cookies to celebrate with my best friend and her bridesmaids for a socially-distant fall get together Working with Susan to design and order these was so easy and I couldn't have been happier with the result! If you go in here expecting a bake shop, you will be disappointed. This is a store that as fas as I could tell sells decorated cookies, and that is it - i think it is usually just a sugary cookie covered in sugary icing. We stopped in while she was decorating and selling tons of cookies for teachers. I picked up a few decorated cookies for $4 each and they were very well decorated, beautiful cookies .. the location is back behind where wave hill breads used to be.. way back in the parking lot off route 7 behind that barn looking building. the huge cookie cutter over the door is neato (you cant see it until you are behind the building). the owner/decorator/baker/etc was super friendly and gave us cookie samples. a great spot for fancy cookies! if you can plan ahead and order what you need i think she could do just about any cookie design for you! read more

Sometimes you just want a beautifully decorated cookie; not a cake, not a pastry, but a gorgeous sugar cookie. The Painted Cookie always fits the bill. The items travel well and because of her packaging are great for gifting. The cookies also taste as good as they look, which is pretty uncommon for decorated cookies. My favorite part though is that you never know exactly what she will have in stock when you arrive, so depending on the season or approaching holiday, there are always some surprises.
