At this point I've already decided that I will NEVER set foot in this retail outlet again. I use the washroom and return the key. They stock the normal fishing equipment but they also carry electronics, ice fishing gear, fly fishing gear, a limited selection of apparel, and live bait. They have knowledgable and friendly staff as well. If you live in the Kitchener/Waterloo area, this is a good store for you to check out the next time you need gear.

Ten minutes into the game the sole of the shoes started to fall apart (attempted to add picture, but conveniently rejected by server) and I had to stop playing. On a closer inspection of the shoes I found a label on the inside stating that the shoes were manufactured in 2011, ... yeap, 12 years ago, so no wonder the sole was all brittle and broke apart. I went to the store on Saturday, October 21, 2023 to return the shoes and get my money back and I was told that I can only receive an in-store credit or a replacement. I paid real money on my shoes and therefore I want real money in return. I do not need anything else from your store and definitely not another pair of cleats from a store that sells old/ancient merchandise. Moreover, at the time of buying the shoes I was not informed about your store policies and the receipt does not include any information regarding returns. So practically you misinformed the client by withholding information at the time of selling the goods. Since this is the only reply I got from the store (customer rep talked to the manager), which seems to contravene with the Sale of Goods Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. S.1 with respect to private businesses being obliged to provide full return for defective products, I reported the issue to Consumer Protection Ontario (Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery) and to Better Business Bureau. And since I missed a soccer game that costs me $15/week and wasted gas (~$5) driving for nothing to your store today, I asked to get reimbursement for these, too. I truly hope to receive my money back soon, as I will definitely take this to a media and legal level if needed. I am also pretty sure Umbro might want to hear about how your business devalues their brand, which is next on my list this week. Business like this should not exist in Ontario.

I had put on a spinner and cast it out twice on the second cast the rod splits in 2 pieces and broke. Went back to the Sail store to replace the rod and they said because it was not a clean break "whatever that means" they would not exchange it and that I would have to do it under warranty through St. Croix. Bought five days ago used once on second cast and breaks on a spinner, they should be replacing this rod right on the spot. After-tax this rod cost me $225 and to not replace the rod is criminal. I have had one other rod break on me throughout the years of fishing and at that store "which will remain nameless" replaced the Rod for me right On the spot. Then to go on saying that because they are bankrupt they cannot do anything for me is also criminal, full of excuses to not give me what I paid for especially after breaking after one use and only 5 days old. I am obviously an avid fisherman and spent a lot of money on fishing products but the SAIL store will be the very last place I ever go to to buy anything for fishing the worst company ever. Just all around comfy walking shoes because I'm a regular runner and apparently the heel absorbed impact. I would say the shoes is enough of an up sale but it is light. There is no way shoes can absorb load that well, it's the foam structure and the hallow construct allows it. But true beliebers say it's a shock absorber, so keep on beliebing peeps. The selection is alright it's like any other outlet store. But it also shows you probably dont need to go to premium outlet mall for the deals, there are places with less line up and better parking.
