Terrible experience. I bought a pair of Umbro soccer cleats…read morefrom this store on October 17, 2023 and played soccer on Friday, October 20, 2023. Ten minutes into the game the sole of the shoes started to fall apart (attempted to add picture, but conveniently rejected by server) and I had to stop playing. On a closer inspection of the shoes I found a label on the inside stating that the shoes were manufactured in 2011, ... yeap, 12 years ago, so no wonder the sole was all brittle and broke apart. I went to the store on Saturday, October 21, 2023 to return the shoes and get my money back and I was told that I can only receive an in-store credit or a replacement. I paid real money on my shoes and therefore I want real money in return. I do not need anything else from your store and definitely not another pair of cleats from a store that sells old/ancient merchandise. Moreover, at the time of buying the shoes I was not informed about your store policies and the receipt does not include any information regarding returns. So practically you misinformed the client by withholding information at the time of selling the goods. Since this is the only reply I got from the store (customer rep talked to the manager), which seems to contravene with the Sale of Goods Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. S.1 with respect to private businesses being obliged to provide full return for defective products, I reported the issue to Consumer Protection Ontario (Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery) and to Better Business Bureau. And since I missed a soccer game that costs me $15/week and wasted gas (~$5) driving for nothing to your store today, I asked to get reimbursement for these, too. I truly hope to receive my money back soon, as I will definitely take this to a media and legal level if needed. I am also pretty sure Umbro might want to hear about how your business devalues their brand, which is next on my list this week. Business like this should not exist in Ontario.

We came at the end of the day on the New Year's eve and I forgot my purse when I was leaving. I only realized when I was on my way home when they called my husband's cell from my cell phone. Although the store was already closed, they waited for us to come back and pickup the purse. So very grateful. Awesome-awesome people!

So the Big K headed in first while I went to Dollarama nearby to waste some time. How long could buying a hockey stick take? I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I rushed the Big K with stick in hand to the check-out (in an effort to prevent him from buying anything else.) Even the cashier was super-charming and personable and made paying the large bill less painful. Final words: bring lots of cash. This store is conducive to shopping.
