We postponed the procedure at least once because we had not received a response from my insurance…read more I made sure to verify the amount I would be paying at the time they called me to schedule and they said they had verified my out of pocket with insurance. I payed that amount the day of. Then weeks later received a bill for an additional ~$750 dollars. That bill showed no mention of the amount I had already paid. When I called to dispute, the man I spoke with told me not to pay it and that it was probably because insurance had not yet paid their part. Next thing I know I'm receiving calls from a debt collection agency. Absolutely ridiculous. It took me a while to even realize these weren't scam calls but now I have filed a dispute the the collection agency, and also am awaiting a callback from someone higher up at Gateway. The person at Gateway I spoke to today, told me I have a credit on my account but couldnt see the amount. I'm going to guess it was the amount I paid the day of. So they have a credit on my account and also sent a bill to collections a few weeks after they told me not to pay the bill I received from them. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. Avoid this place if possible.

They said there was a note on my file that they had contacted me to reschedule, yet I have phone records to prove the opposite. No one contacted me at all. Then just now they called me to try and reschedule because they double booked patients. Horrible place.

Poor scheduling experience at UT Southwestern: Tried to schedule a MRI with an order from an…read moreout-of-state doctor due to a recent move. I emailed a complete set of documents including insurance approval, ID, doctor's order. They explained the order would need to be verified to make an appointment. I called several times to schedule but there is no follow up and it is day 5. INSTEAD, I contacted another company, Southwest Diagnostic Imaging Dallas. On the SAME day I emailed the documents, they called to schedule an appointment with the understanding the out-of-state order needs verification. I was able to schedule an appointment nonetheless! Then 2 days later, the order was verified. I am still curious to know WHEN UT Southwestern will call me back but will cancel my appointment request and take my business where the out-of-state orders are welcomed!

Want to have an illuminating experience? Go get a CT scan! Well, my ENT decided I needed one and…read moreit did illuminate the deep dark recesses within my neck and throat. The Aston building of UTSW Medical School used to be where my ENT was located and it was nice to revive the forgotten memories of having my nose, sinuses and throat probed, photographed and filmed in the building, NOT! Heh, it wasn't THAT bad even if I had suppressed those memories, but I really can think of more enjoyable things to do! The parking nearby the easy to find and get into building is valet. There are some self parking lots in the area for a longer walk if you want a lot of steps for the day. The cost for valet is $5, so I did the valet as I've always done in that building. As this was during the COVID era, the screening station when going in the door did all of the standard questions and checks before tagging you and releasing you back into the elevators and wild corridors of the building (its not wild, but I always feel like a captured animal being measured, tagged and released at these checkpoints.) The CT scan staff had the check-in down to a science and I was on my way back right to the machine on time. The scan was very quick and easy. I was out and back in my car right on schedule. Results came back quickly and posted on the UTSW patient app. (All of the required stuff was in my neck and no dangerous extra stuff was discovered if you were curious.) If you have to get a CT Scan, this place is pretty good!
