About as perfect as the ride could get! Pricing was a little expensive but the travel was also pretty far (Aberdeen to Olympia in WA). My taxi driver was well kept, vehicle was clean, driver arrived early, and was very courteous and friendly. The customer service team too, friendly, responsive and understanding while trying to reserve in a low cell service area. Kudos to the team and please treat them well! They all earned it! Dennis was on time, very friendly and when we got to our destination waited to make sure we were able to gain entrance to the building. That was important since a call had to be made in order for someone to unlock the door and let us in. It took a while before the person came out of a back room and opened the door so we weren't sure for awhile about being let in. We appreciated very much that he waited for us to gain entrance. We used Paddywagon for shuttle to the airport, leaving at 5:30 a.m. We received a text in the morning as to when to expect him, and Dennis was there 3-4 minutes early. He also was there to get us from the airport and had to wait an hour in the cell-service waiting zone, while we had to get our lost luggage figured out. He offers affordable service and told us he hasn't raised his prices in 8 years. Even with this recent gas price hike? Wow. What a great guy! read more

After calling and asking about transportation to a concert and a friend coming in from out of town that needed to be picked up at the airport I was shocked to find out that even though they have a Washington state business license they are not licensed as a transportation company with either King County or Pierce County. Which means they most likely don't have the insurance needed to cover them while hauling passengers needless to say neither myself nor my friends coming in from out of town for the concert will be riding with them you take your life in your hands, good luck to anyone that rides with them I certainly won't be! read more

I tried The Paddywagon after Ace Taxi didn't show up or call after 3 hours of waiting. When I called the Paddywagon, the person was nice & polite to deal with. The driver showed up when he said he would & also called 5 minutes out before he arrived. The driver was nice to talk to during the ride. When we arrived at the auto repair shop to pick up my car, I was in shock of the fee he charged. It was 50% less than what Ace Taxi charges!!! The Paddywagon is AWESOME. They drive my kids around Bonney Lake or wherever they need to go when I can't. It is so much safer than having them bike or walk. I have also have them drive me to and from meetings with friends when I know I will be having a couple glasses of wine. read more

To settle this. I called the Tacoma/Pierce County business licensing which governs taxicab and for hire vehicles (without meters) within Pierce County and they are not licensed through their office. I called City of Seattle (which governs the Seattle-Tacoma airport) and King County and they are not licensed through their respective offices. Then I called the State of Washington Department of Licensing in Olympia and they are a State of Washington "For Hire" (without a meter) which I thought they might have been in the first place and their local jurisdiction is Bonney Lake. This means that their City of Bonney Lake license allows them to pick up in Bonney Lake. Bonney Lake does not have an interlocal agreement with Pierce County for cab service or county for hire vehicles and Bonney Lakes city officials signed off on the State of Washington for hire addendum to allow them to pick up in Bonney Lake. All of this information can be obtained as it is a matter of public record. This company does have the required insurance required by the State of Washington. This is a bit confusing as there are for hire vehicles licensed and inspected by both Pierce and King Counties (No meters) but the State of Washington also has for hire vehicles (No meters) issued by the Department of Licensing in Olympia. The difference with for hire vehicles is that they have flat rates which may or may not be cheaper than taxicab running a meter. If you are unsure about pricing, you can always Google the mileage from your Pickup location to your destination address and times it by the per mile rate (in Pierce County the per mile is $2.25 and the flag drop can be anything up to $3.75; in King County it is $2.60 flag drop and $2.70 per mile) going the shortest way possible and do some comparative shopping before you call any non metered for hire vehicle company to check pricing to ensure you are getting the best price and passengers can verify with any of the governing agencies that a company's insurance is valid. As far as this company is concerned, they are licensed for Bonney Lake, WA approved through the City of Bonney Lake and the State of Washington for Bonney Lake as a State issued "For Hire" vehicle (no meter) operating in Bonney Lake. The owner is correct he is licensed for Bonney Lake, has proper insurance and licensing as required by the State of Washington as a State regulated (not county regulated) company. His company, like all county taxicabs and county for hire vehicles can also pick up on sovereign land (Indian Reservations) which is Federal land and not subject to the State of Washington or individual counties regulations or laws). For example if you live in Kent and want to go to White River Amphitheater, he is not allowed by law to pick you up from Kent but his company can pick you up from there and take you home). read more
