Took this class about seven years ago and I have and am still meeting so many people that have gone here between then and now. The reviews are always the best and everyone really connects with Jordyn. It's always a pleasant conversation about it how supportive and patient he is with teaching everyone his skill set thoroughly. He not only teaches mixing drinks but how to carry yourself professional and efficiently. There is so much I learned here that I carry into other jobs as I now navigate my career path in the field of Psychology and working with people. I will always be grateful to this school and to Jordyn. read more

I have been driving past this bartending school for over 10 years and I have always wanted to sign up for the course. I decided to just sign up for the course one day and I'm so happy I did it. This bartending school is very welcoming, laid back, and a place that you can really learn the fundamentals of bartending. The main thing that I love is that each person has their own station. You don't have to wait your turn or worry about someone taking up more time than you. Each person has the same setup and you can practice the drinks as much as you want. Another plus, the instructor. Jordan will teach you everything you need to know plus, he'll have you laughing while doing it. Jordan has stories that ties the drinks together. I enjoyed learning from him and he will keep a smile on your face for sure!! If you're thinking about signing up here, do it!! I will be applying for a few jobs soon and I'll give this bartending school and Jordan all of the credit. read more

Just finished my 5 Saturdays with Jordan today. I'm glad to have attended this school I learned so much from him. Sure you can YouTube bartending but it's nothing like having the set up, the station, and instructor to show you how it's done correctly to build that confidence before you get behind the bar. Could not have asked for a more experienced instructor with years of industry experience. I'm making drinks like a pro. read more

I learned a lot from coming to Pacific Bartending School! The instructor Jordan, will teach you on how to make, rocks drinks, martinis, mixed drinks, blended drinks, hot drinks, shooters, all the drinks you can imagine he is willing to show you!! He will show you the little important things that matter in bartending because he's actually worked as a bartender in many places, so he has the experience unlike other schools! I can't say anything negative about my experience, Jordan is an awesome instructor with so much knowledge, he can talk for days! I can say I learned something new everyday I went!! I highly recommend you check it out if you want to become a certified bartender! Just got certified Friday the 13th of February! read more

I signed up for Pacific Bartending School with nothing but a love for a good drink and zero actual skills behind the bar. Just a few years as a cocktail waitress. Two weeks later, I'm shaking, stirring, and pouring like I've been doing it for years! The instructor here is an absolute pro--part coach, part stand-up comedian. He teaches you how to nail your pour counts, and how to handle real-world bar scenarios (including those "interesting" customers). The hands-on practice was the best part--actual behind-the-bar training every single day, with enough repetition that muscle memory kicks in fast. The atmosphere is relaxed but focused, and they make you feel comfortable whether you're a complete beginner or brushing up for a career move. I especially loved how I enrolled during the July special deal. Now, not only can I make a killer Old Fashioned, but I also feel confident walking into a bar shift anywhere. If you've ever thought about learning bartending--whether for a career, a side hustle, or just to impress friends--this is the place. Worth every penny, and then some. read more

We just completed the five Saturday bartending course at Pacific. We truly appreciated the single station setup for each student and the hands-on instruction and practice space. Jordan is very experienced and shares many 'real world' examples. He is welcoming and open to questions. He packs his instruction with a lot of information and provides time for practice. You can learn a lot through this course, if you work on memorizing the recipes and take advantage of practicing in the space with the provided tools! read more

This was an amazing experience for me, I learned so much coming from no background working in the industry or any knowledge whatsoever. Not only do I highly recommend this school but I would take the class all over again. I met incredible people, made new friends, and gained a different perspective on what it is to be a bartender. Since the moment I arrived, Jordan was outside already teaching us before class started. I heard about it through my brother. (He also went there) Took the 2 week class and got a promoted to bartender from server at Trump National because I went here and took initiative before telling my employers I wanted the bartending position. Fast forward 4 years, I needed the certificate (I lost the original) for another job and with in hours Jordan replied with it. Jordan is the guy, whether you are just starting out or experienced. I did this course through Living Social deals and I definitely learned a lot. Jordan has all these tips and tricks (even about reporting how much tip you make) from his real-world experiences as a bartender. He's been bartending since the 80's. There is a job placement database you get access to around the 2nd week and he also teaches you how to serve wine properly and food serving. He gets students from as far as the Inland Empire, so you know he knows what he's talking about. read more

If you are looking into taking this class and you have any hesitation....I must tell you that it is totally worth it. To begin with Jordan is quite a character, likened to an old timey bartender with a plethora of stories sure enough to both teach you and make you laugh at the same time. You learn a lot of drink recipes and he breaks them down. You have a lot of practice time as well, plus he tells you which drinks to focus on. Now he doesnt only tell you about making drinks but how to behave behind the bar, interact with customers, proper wine etiquette, and most importantly how to find a job. Great right? So yes, take the class, you'll have fun for sure and make sure to wear comfortable shoes!!!! read more

Jordan is a great teacher, he took our class of about 12 (the environment has about 15 stations) and kept the room laughing and engaged all while learning. His experience in the field really helps you understand why you have to do certain things and adds invaluable tips and tricks on how to be successful. The Pacific Bartending School offers different options for its attendees making it easy to complete the program. You can either go for a week straight Monday through Friday or take the route I did and attend five Saturdays in a row. A few (there are many more) of the items we reviewed were: ice machines, glass names and purposes, soda machine dispensing, liquor names and types, cocktail mixing (tons of drinks), serving etiquette, when to cut someone off, wine serving, station clean up, risk management, bar lingo, resume critique and job searching tips. I would highly recommend Jordan and the Pacific Bartending School to anyone seeking to become a professional bartender or those looking to learn about mixing drinks and hosting a better party. As alumni of the program you are given access to a jobs database to find local opportunities and are invited to come back and brush up your skills using their stations. Just finished the school today! Highly recommend! Jordon has tons of experience and practical wisdom to pass on!

I took the Saturday 6-week course at Pacific Bartending School, taught by Dan the owner. Let me say that Dan took a bit of time explaining why bartending courses given by other schools aren't worth your time or money (he showed us ads of these "schools" recruiting ex-students, clearly not requiring much experience to teach). He also makes sure you know certain things to make sure you can PASS FOR A PROFESSIONAL in a real setting... which is integral to landing and keeping a gig. Dan mentioned how both he and his father were bartenders, and he makes sure that you know the particulars of the art and the recipes that matter. In my experience, Dan really did teach me the 'important' ones that get requested most, including from an older generation/crowd. I find that -- as I continue to go to bars in LA, I know more drink recipes and am more prepared than some bartenders who clearly have been tending for awhile... Also, how to pour correctly & quickly, how to setup and breakdown a bar, etc. Yes, as some reviewers have mentioned, he does occasionally make a loud noise or yell if you are doing something like say, touching your fingers to the tops of straws, but you know what? I LEARNED not to do that, and I remember now. Dan is right, that is a big no-no for a pro... He's a GREAT teacher and I highly recommend. read more

Took this course and passed my certification. I have taken training at another bartending school and this one is by far much better. The training is hands on almost the entire time. No wasted time on excessive lecture and book material. I'm a nuts and bolts kinda guy so this was all me. Easy to understand, direct instructions, and lots of hands on time as late as you want to stay. I've come back several times to keep everything fresh. The instructor is passionate and cares to teach you how to do it right. He is some good laughs too. Highly recommended read more

I took the 2-week, weekday evening course at Pacific Bartending School from June 24th through July 5th, 2013. I am the General Manager of one of the nation's largest mobile casino party rental companies, and approximately 9 months ago, our owners also decided to open a mobile bartending and food service staffing company. In order to be able to run the day-to-day tasks, I needed to have the very BEST bartending education I could find. Master Bartender JORDAN MILLER was the perfect instructor for our needs, and we will be sending ALL of our new recruits to him for training. Jordan has a knowledge base is so broad and extensive that no one in Southern California can match. (No one that we interviewed was able to even come close to him, at all.) The man has DONE it at the highest level, and he is an excellent communicator, as well. Once Jordan shows you his techniques, you are able to easily remember them and apply them in the real world. Here, you spend time making the most popular drinks perfectly, and developing the habits of accuracy and speed. No time is wasted on things that won't help you, or developing bad habit that will hurt you later. If you want to be fully confident in your skills and knowledge, and if you want to be able to make money right away, this is where you need to go. read more

Dan is incredible! He is a true, professional bartender and teaches you nothing but the best. The schedule is very flexible so if you miss a class it's extremely easy to make it up. I would recommend Dan to anyone looking into going to a bar tending school. He even makes remembering the drinks very fun by using funny words. I'll never forget Very Trendy Chicks Like the Twist =) I notice the review where it says he hits and curses at you and I never once had that issue with Dan. Yes, on my first day he corrected my form and adjusted my hands and wrists when bottle pouring but just to show me the correct way to do things. It was never hurtful or uncalled for. I never even heard him cursing. If you are still unsure about Dan and his training go see for yourself on Mondays for FREE. He will let you come to a Monday class for free to see how everything is and see if you like it THEN make your decision. He really is a great instructor and I'm so happy I went with his classes instead of National Bartending School. Best choice ever. read more
