TLDR: very informative course! The class started promptly at the time scheduled (I did same day registration and had no problems!). Chad made the course entertaining, quick to the point, and repeated information to make sure we understood all that he said. I just completed my 2nd re-certification here. All of the information you need about the classes is on the website. It's very easy to register for class. Chad provided great communication between when I registered and actually took the class. He sent an email confirmation/receipt once I registered and also sent email and text reminders closer to the date of the course. The email contains excellent directions/map on how to get there, where to park, and how to find the classroom once you get on site. (I also had a very easy time when I had to reschedule my date a couple of times.) There are enough dummies for everyone to do their hands-on practice at the same time. He was very thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and made sure everyone's questions were answered. He has a friendly demeanor while stressing the importance of the course material. I left the course feeling well prepared to do CPR and use an AED when I left the room. I definitely plan on returning when my certification expires again in 2 years. read more

Well with Chad as your teacher, it is. He is enthusiastic, funny and a delight. Chad is a former EMT, firefighter and military vet. He has vast knowledge and practical experience. He shares real life examples and cautionary tales. He really has the depth of experience to know what is important and essential. Check the website first for the location. It is just a little tricky finding the classroom. It is downstairs on the west side of the building. There is plenty of free parking and good restaurant options near by. The building is on the north west corner of Hawthorne Blvd. and Lomita Blvd. Registration is easy. You get a discount if you pay in cash. His classes are good for both people in the medical profession as well as everyone else. Good solid basic training but with humor. Can't beat that combination. With both video and a live teacher, you get the reinforcement and confidence you need. The class covers one person and two person CPR. It also covers the use of the AED. There are two parts of the training, CPR and first aid. First Aid follows the CPR class. You can take one or the other, or opt to take them both. Great, up to date information in both classes. He sends the CPR card by email, for you to print out. Quick and easy. What are you going to do when someone isn't breathing or is choking? If you take this class, you will what to do. There is instruction for how to help adults, children and babies. Emergencies don't send out warning texts, they just happen. Be prepared. It gives me great peace of mind, knowing what to do in a crisis. Get your peace of mind here. It's fun, cheap and painless. Get your super hero powers here and possibly save a life. I just took a class today (3/10/17) to get certified in First Aid, CPR and AED, and was it so worth it! Chad, the instructor and owner of AED $40 CPR, made the class fun, interesting and actually very enjoyable (considering a class like this could be as dull as spending time in traffic school)?! The time went by so fast, and the way Chad teaches, he made it extremely easy to learn and retain the information. I didn't attend for BLS, but those that did and took the exam, seemed very pleased with their test taking skills thanks to Chad...he made sure that everyone follows along in class and understands the concepts to make their exam taking successful. This has been by far the best CPR, first aid and AED course that I've ever attended. Chad is funny but cuts to the point and he's really efficient in facilitating the course. There are different classes so make sure you pick the appropriate one; you will have to do a test for the certification but it's easy because you see it in the video and during his additional input while practicing. I am happy to come here again and again for my BLS recertification! They accept card online ($45) or cash in person ($40). They also have a ton of class dates and times to choose from so it is really simple to get to a class short notice. It's so easy to find the location. There is information on their website, they email you the day before, and they text message you the day before with all of the necessary information. When you enter the building, there's a ton of signs pointing you in the right direction. Honestly you have no excuse as the customer for not being able to find the place. Justin was a wonderful instructor and explained everything very well. There was plenty of time to practice and he answered any questions. I appreciate that there's small tables to practice on because being directly on the floor would be awful. You get your card the moment you pass the written test. This is my first CPR class through AED 40 CPR. I took a previous class in SF 2 years ago. With new federal regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chad was succinct but brought up all the important points we needed to know for the written test at the end (Provider BLS only). He's personable and funny which makes the class much more enjoyable! I could tell he's a pro at what he does considering he's been teaching CPR for 20 years and has been a paramedic for 12-13 years. I was able to take a class within 2 days of registering online. This place is inside the South Bay rehabilitation plaza. Parking is in the rear. You walk in and watch a training video. Chad will not stop in between the hands on portion of the DVD. But do not worry, he will do hands on training after he fast forwards all the parts he wants you to watch. Sort of like an intro, then he lectures and makes sure you get down the techniques with your with your dummies (sorry if that's politically incorrect). Chad is very knowledgeable and makes learning CPR simple and fun. He's animated, has a great speaking voice, loud and cracks jokes. I love his teaching style he is straight to the point and he repeats the important facts multiple times so it's embedded in your brain. He goes around and makes sure each person has the correct hand placements and sequencing. At the end, there is a test but he goes over the material. I've been re-certificated for BLS (health care provider) several times but this is the best class I've ever taken and I also learned some new things! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this course.
