So read that too :P I'll make this short and sweet. My experience here truly prepared me for college because I never really had a problem with the workload at my school. The teachers here were amazing and supportive, and everyone got along so well. Plus all the college classes they offered in CSUDH along with the AP classes helped me finish a year early!! And I have CAMS to thank for that. This isn't your typical high school - I don't think I have ever witnessed a fight before. There's no football team, no parties and no drug problems.. it's a school solely dedicated to those who desire a career in the math\science field.

But it has since changed, and significantly at that. With "no child left behind" comes a lot of student mainstreaming, a reduction of attendance, staff and of course, opportunity. But... I wondered why the teacher was giving false statements about withholding my daughter's voice output device for over two years with, "She doesn't have homework" Our Harbor Regional Counselor interjected he saw her get off the school bus and go straight to her homework desk without being prompted. In the second year of the IDR/Amendment meeting (falsified as a new agreed upon IEP compliments of Gavin) She recanted this statement with, "She does have homework but doesn't do it". The next year the overseer of the IEP team (not a member) straight out said, "Frankly, I don't think you will charge the device overnight". "What would the teacher do?" I responded, "The phone I call you with all my concerns with is charged every day and night". Further, I have to let the public know their children are being rounded up together as a whole in class for only minutes of so-called therapy for speech. It is more minutes than the 10 minutes on Mondays for the whole class with only my daughter's device (still withheld from Alina and family) and the entire school. They closed the doors on us because they know these therapies aren't being done correctly according to the contractual obligation of the IEP. Looks like promotions are in the air from the District because Tina M. (I call her the Tina 9000) won't be back and left the desk for her protégé Gavin (Tina Jr) Mary Jullienne was rewarded for her conduct with a raise and a position of vice principal. I attended this school as class of 2000 . This is the school that open my heart to music ,…read moreperforming , arts and the love for marine life . From 1st grade they have plays the students get to be a part of . From building the sets to acting , dancing and singing . Every student is made to feel his part in the primary production was just as important as the lead roll. The 5th grade class during my time there would watch over the primary kids during recess . With that they combine the older students and the younger ones . While they are thought a sense of responsibility and leadership skills . The upper grade production is my fondest memory . . I dance , acted and sang in front of parent for 3 years at Dominguez Hills. Then we have the music class . That's where I found the love I currently still hold for the violin . It starts in second grade . My mother was Poor back then , the school provided one for free every year . Finally the 5th grade cimi trip . It was my first time ever away from my mother . But they made me feel welcome and at home . We were so busy having fun , learning and bonding that missing our parents was not posible . All around a beautiful school that will open up your child's world to the beauty of visual and performing arts . I'm now 33 with children if my own but I do wish one would've been able to attend south shores . During my time there Mr.Suzuki was our Vice principle . That man has the heart of gold . When this poor smelly 8 year old girl went into the office he said I won a gift certificate to k-mart for clothes . Never once did he make me feel like it was a donation given out of pity. Your children will be in the very best hands there . They love their Job . Most importantly this school will change their life .

I was sexually assaulted by McKenzie in the girls bathroom I had to pee I was already next in line girls were smoking so that's the reason McKenzie and and another person came in to gather them up I proceeded to go into the stall and relieve myself before I walked into the stall I left my bag on think sink and gave the security and her permission to search through my bag she kept screaming and assuming that I had some paraphernalia on me so as I'm relieving myself she sticks her head underneath the door so she seen my lady parts after I got out of the restroom she kept being rude and telling me to hurry up as I was washing my hands. I then went into Jody's office and told him and the security guard what just happened I wrote a report then I also talked to the center director he told me he was going to contact HR but nothing was ever done this is the same woman that looked at me and my other two black friends as we were on the way back to class from lunch "Ouu look at ya'll and you're the same color" and just kept walking. Another incident with the same woman I asked for Jody's permission to be in a class that I was done with he told me it was fine the instructor (Ms. Presley) also said it was fine. McKenzie then comes back into the classroom proceeding to harass me telling me to get out after she was literally the one that told me to go ask Jody. I was repeatedly harassed by her and no matter how many times I told someone nothing was ever done and she was allowed to just quit and leave no consequence. I took a phlebotomy class and passed just for me to be put into cts fill out all the information for my phlebotomy license and never receive it at the time my cts worker was Mr.Ruben his job was to upload everything correctly so that I can receive my license my exit date then came and I was gone off campus and never received my license. I am still being contacted by a new cts worker which I don't understand why because they're literally not helping with anything I got job on my own so at this point it's just annoying. There's a lot worse to my story but for anyone thinking about sending your child here DON'T they will not be safe here they allow predators on this campus and will make your child seem like they're the problem. They will never make sure your child feel safe, they will never care enough to see if your child is ok , they will never believe your child if they come up to them and say something is wrong. And don't get me started on Diaz always came to work with an attitude yelling any chance he gets at anyone and just because he's having a bad day he thinks it's ok to take the anger out on his coworkers and the students that attend there me personally I had no problem with going back and forth with him because I don't allow anyone to speak to me like they've lost their rabbit ass mind.
