They took extra effort to ensure no other issues ever transpired and have been very true to their commitment. Regarding the dog/cat services we rely upon, the peace-of-mind and security afforded to myself and my family is well worth whatever fees Happy Paws needs to continue running. My pets are very comfortable with them and well tended. I had a dog that was terminally ill and it always broke my heart to leave for work, but I knew he was in good hands until the end when he finally crossed the rainbow bridge. I have a new pup and once again he is quite happy with every visit and my cat has also deemed them very worthy of her presence throughout this time. We have worked primarily with Jeremy and he has been very reliable, even reaching out to me about my own schedule when I spaced out any updates that he was expecting. He really cares for our animals and also respects our home without any worry.

Lisa and Jeremy were kind enough to add me to their client list, even though we live a little further away in La Mirada. That was so considerate of them!! Jeremy is just fantastic to work with, he keeps you constantly informed and is such a kind person. If there were 10 stars I'd give them 10!!! Thanks a million!! Kelly, Reg & Libby Hiebert

They said no problem in just cutting nails and it is: $10 just come between 9-10am we went there the next morning and they were done without issue. My dog wasn't scared or anything. Before we had the pleasure of finding Dachs 2 Danes, we had an assortment of daycares that we tried that were okay. While they were not horrible, it still felt like something was lacking in each of the establishments. Finding D2D and staying a customer for the past 5 years (!) has frankly felt like a very short time with how easy and simple they have made our lives when it comes to placing our pup in trusting hands. Noted in a previous review, our pup is "special". Super-smart dog, but didn't have much socialization (or, possibly, happiness) in her past. D2D has helped provide a safe and controlled environment for her to socialize (or, at the very least, interact) with other pups and humans that aren't us. Pre-COVID, we were able to drop her off sometime after 7am and pick her up before 7pm on any day (I think if you dropped off your pup after 12pm, it was considered a half-day and was a lower rate). During COVID, they're now closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but you can drop off your pup during the weekdays; their website has more info. Also, during COVID, boarding is still available! While daycare has provided infinite value to us, boarding has been nothing short of a relief. I do worry about our pup when she's not at home (frankly, I'm just used to her being around me all the time), but it is incredibly reassuring to know that she's at D2D overnight whenever needed. We do schedule her boarding a few days in advance (if not a few weeks if we're going out-of-state), and we make sure to pack food, meds, dental bones, a blanket, a toy, and a list of items/directions for them (just as a backup, since they do write down a checklist for their own use when they receive her overnight bag). Just a note: if you want to try and board your pup doing holiday weeks (e.g., Thanksgiving and Christmas), make sure to try and reserve ahead of time, as they may get full. Prices have been reasonable for half-day, full-day, and boarding. They also have packages, where we've been consistently purchasing the 30-full-day packages in the past few years. It definitely is an upfront cost (around $650 for the 30-full-day package for one dog), but it's nice to not worry about paying on day of a daycare visit because we took care of it ahead of time. They also have a small discount if you have multiple dogs, I think? D2D also has some salon services! Hubby and I have completely taken advantage of their ability to cut dogs' nails, as I get a little bit of a visceral reaction in trying to cut our pup's nails (I had cut into the quick before, agh!!!). $10 for a nail clip? DONE. TAKE MY MONEY. The owner, Erin, is a wonderful human being who cares about her business, the pets she takes care of (whether cats, dogs, birds, farm animals, etc.), and her customers. She has always been straightforward and honest with us, and always works hard in her business. She does small things that is a big deal to us, such as Christmas postcards, doggie report cards, setting up boxes for donations to the animal shelters and rescues, and providing a quick recap on how our pup did our daycare. She is patient and calm with her hands full, but she makes things look easy at times. She is amazing. THANK YOU, ERIN, for all that you have done for us and our pup!

It is easy to book your stays through the app and everything has ran smoothly for my experience so far. They require all records prior to your first stay to make sure the dogs are up to date on vaccinations, etc. There are also a number of enrichments offered at an extra cost to entertain your pup, and on certain days of the week they have specialty enrichments. On my pup's last stay we ordered a pup cup and I did not expect to receive pictures in email of her enjoying it. That made my day. There are always cameras available to check in on your doggy to make you feel at ease. My pup is always excited and always playing during her stays and she is excited to go in when we arrive, she isn't even worried about me heading off and she's still happy when we come back for her. Then there is the additional perk of your pup being wiped out for a nice portion of the day when you return. Thank you Camp Bow Wow and especially for having staff around at all times, and for making it possible to take trips with ease knowing our pup will be taken care of.

Mind you we have not rescued many but enough to know they need special care and Camp Bow Wow has done such a beautiful job of loving our babies and helping them to feel safe, which gives us peace of mind. When brought our current dog home about six months ago, we gave her a bit of time and then introduced her to Camp Bow Wow. It has been such a help to help socialize her around dogs and people and now she gets so excited when we bring her in. She has learned to interact with other dogs and with people, play until her heart's content and take breaks when she needs to. She always comes home tiered in the best way. I brought my dog a few times to this grooming location in 2024/2025. We stopped taking him after…read morethe last visit we had because the groomer recommended getting our dog use to people touching his hand. Nothing wrong with telling us that, because that's just what we did! We wanted him to be desensitized before he came back. The few times I brought him in, all the experiences were good! So much so I'd gush over how good he looked after grooming and how he looked well taken care of. He'd come home happy and maybe take a little nap. So, I decided to bring him in again recently. Same service as before, nothing different. The most I waited for my dog before was 3 hours (but I was given a heads up by the groomer that they were busier the day he waited for 3 hours, so not an issue at all). My dog was there for about 6 hours. I dropped him off in the late morning and he's wasn't ready until the later in the afternoon. I called to check in after a few hours, but was told her was in rotation to be finished soon... No one gave me a heads up about it maybe taking a while when I dropped him off. When my dog finally was able to come home, he was super dehydrated, immediately needed to use the restroom and was just lethargic overall (never an occurrence in any previous visit at this groomer or at any of the other previous grooming locations my dog has gone to). The stars given are only because of the positive experiences I had BEFORE the most recent one because I genuinely enjoyed bringing my dog here and this would've been a 5 star place for me. But based off my recent experience, it was not a 5 star service. I didn't recognize anyone there, (granted it had been a little while since we had last brought him in), so I'm not sure if they have new staff. However, I unfortunately don't want to put my dog through something like this most recent experience again.
