I met a friend for breakfast at The Original Granny's. This will remind you of a dinner from the 1980s, and it appears that it still has the decor from the time period too. I ordered the French toast that was modeled after and tastes like the Samoan Girl Scout cookies. My friend had eggs and sausage. The food was terrific and our sever checked on us often. There is an additional charge if you use a credit card. So bring cash. I highly recommend The Original Granny's!

I have been to Granny's countless times, being a lifelong resident of Wheeling. They have always had exceptional service and great food, and always seem to get a great crowd. I last dined in back in January, and I was pleased that things were how I remembered them. The usual hustle and bustle of the breakfast rush, and patrons busy digging into their meals. I ended up trying the New Oreo S'more Belgium Waffles. The batter is made with oreos, and they came topped with marshmallow sauce, chocolate ganache, oreo crumbles and whipped cream. I absolutely enjoyed every bite. It was't too over sweet or anything thing, and all the flavors came together really well. Everyone else at my table seem satisfied with their food as well. Granny's will continue to be a local and family favorite , hopefully for many more years. I look forward to my next visit and encourage others to check them out as well!

If you're looking for a spot that feels like home, The Original Granny's is it! The food is absolutely amazing--every bite tastes homemade with love. I had Greek Skillet, and it was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous, and the prices are unbelievably fair, especially considering the quality. You can tell they care about their customers and about keeping good food accessible. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and food that hits the spot every time. Definitely a new favorite!

Decent food at nice prices. Excellent service! Not the freshest food though. Frozen strawberries and frozen concentrated orange juice.

Staff members were on top of their game, taking care of 50+ people who were ready to drink/eat and have a great time. Whenever I had an empty plate it was quickly removed to make room for another. This casual yet elevated bar offers delicious drinks and food. I did not have any alcohol but from what I was told the drinks were strong and tasty. The food hit the spot for me. We were provided with a TON of food, to the point where to go boxes were put out since there was plenty to bring home. My favorites were the Buffalo Mac n cheese, cheese curds, and chicken tenders. They also had veggie options which I appreciated since this was a carb heavy event. For dessert there were cookies which was the perfect way to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth.

Continental Restaurant feels like somebody found a perfectly preserved Greek diner from 1987, put…read moreit under glass for forty years, then reopened it without changing a godd@&n thing. And thank God for that. The place is gloriously old-school. The booths, the coffee, the menu, the clientele... everything feels like it belongs to an America where breakfast cost 8 bucks, nobody photographed their eggs, and every restaurant had at least one guy named Gus somewhere near the kitchen. Ryan and I ordered omelettes, because this is exactly the kind of place where ordering anything called "avocado toast" should get you escorted from the building. Then came the real magic: They brought bread first. Bread. Before breakfast. Like civilized people. Not some microscopic artisan biscuit served on slate. Actual diner bread, delivered with the confidence of a restaurant that knows carbohydrates built this country. The omelettes were excellent. Big, hot, filling, completely unconcerned with presentation, and exactly what an omelette should be. Nobody tried to drizzle anything over them. Nobody introduced us to the chickens. Nobody told us the feta had "notes." It was breakfast. Beautiful, uncomplicated breakfast. Now we need to discuss the P.O.A. Index. Catastrophic. The dining room looked like somebody had chartered a bus from an active-living community and accidentally dropped everyone off for brunch. Every direction I looked, another person appeared to be discussing property taxes, statins, or what their grandson is doing at Northwestern. The Index was circling zero. Then Aria appeared. Gold shoes. Hot. Like somebody had accidentally dropped a nightclub hostess into a Greek diner full of people who remember when FDR was president. Those shoes were doing heroic work. For a brief moment, hope returned. But ultimately, this was not that kind of evening. We ate omelettes, drank iced tea, watched senior citizens methodically destroy pancakes, and accepted the crushing reality that sometimes a man goes to eat simply to have food. And you know what? It was great. Five stars. Excellent omelettes. Bread before the meal. Pure Greek-diner nostalgia. A horrifyingly low P.O.A. Index briefly rescued by Aria's gold shoes.

A coffee barista bar and ice cream seating area! We were welcomed in as soon as we entered. Very comfy seats and nice size tables to really spread out and relax . I was pleasingly surprised at the quality and portion sizes of the meals. They offered 4 different soups, a huge variety of fresh baked basket of breads and rolls. I ordered the Greek salad which was popping with flavor not to mention all the chunks of feta they included. Then I had the chicken kabob dinner. It came piping hot, was tender and chock full of flavor! Service was excellent and our waiter Luis took very good care and checked on us often. We'll return as there were too many other items we want to try as well as thier lamb chops, Saganaki and carrot cake! Everything here is made from scratch and is delicious!

Not the best way to start an experience. When I knocked on the door, it was opened by the cashier. I ordered and they happily accepted my coupon. I ordered a chicken sandwich, French fries, and a soda for $6.99 before taxes. Everything is made fresh. They did not start cooking my food until I ordered it. I could hear my food in the frier in the back. It took almost twenty minutes for my food to come out. I was especially hungry on this day and I did not think that the wait was appropriate for what I ordered. The food tasted fresh. The French fries were good but were way too salty. The chicken sandwich tasted fresh and had a good crispy crust on it, while still being juicy. It was a big chicken breast. It was a good value for the money. The sandwich was very messy. There was a spicy sauce that was put on it, that I didn't ask for and didn't like. The sandwich fell apart halfway through eating it. I did appreciate that honey mustard and ketchup dipping sauces and wet wipe were included in the bag. Overall, I found Crown's Fish & Chicken to be a new restaurant with a lot of potential to be great. I look forward to going back and trying some of their other items.

We both ordered 'house' margaritas (being a bit uncertain of anything else) and not only were they wonderfully cool and delicious, they were quite enormous. It was like a goldfish bowl, on a stem. Hot diggity dog! La Presas specialises in seafood entrées and they did not disappoint; everything was wonderfully prepared and presented beautifully. I ordered the seafood ceviche (with octopus) and it was wonderful; I can't believe I finished the entire platter. NB As one may imagine, I didn't have much dinner that night. We arrived prior to the reservation time and had to wait 15-20 minutes but we were ok with it as we were having a good conversation while waiting. After we were seated, the server promptly gave us waters and asked if we wanted anything to drink while waiting. We ordered a caprese flatbread and for my main dish I had the baked Parmesan shrimp scampi. The shrimp appetizer was a special but it was served to our table by mistake. The server just gave it to us. The caprese flatbread was delicious as usually. I really liked the balsamic glaze. I also feel the ingredients were evenly balanced. I didn't eat any of the shrimp appetizer so I cannot comment but it looked good. The main dish I had was so good that I was intending to save half, I ended up eating it all. The White Wine sauce was delicious and the shrimp was tender and not overcooked. Overall, we had a good time and ended up staying longer due to being with good company. The server was very nice and attentive. If it wasn't for the wait for our table, I would have given a 5 star review as everything else was good.
