If I could pick 0 stars I would. This place neglects the dietary needs of their patients and is not very attentive.

In any event, most of the reviewers either love or dislike this place. My biggest complaint is slow, or nonexistent response time, during long stretches of late night and early morning sleep tome. Also, it's been way too cold in here, even though we're in Bakersfield. My final verdict is 3 stars.

He's…read morecurrently battling cancer and his doctor at UCLA has been taking great care of him but this came out of no where. He was seen after waiting longer than he should have for chest pain. They did some lab work and did some CT scans. He arrived a little after 10am and was not seen by a doctor go to over his results and stuff until after 3pm. They finally admitted him because of fluid build up on the lungs. The nurses were very kind and attentive while we were there with him, that's the reason I gave them a second star. However, he was there for almost 3 days and barely got any sleep. He said the nurses at the desk were watching videos or something and he could hear their videos and them laughing all night on top of them having to come check his blood sugar and everything every 2 hours. That part is fine, they should be checking regularly but keeping patients up by laughing and watching videos is crazy. When he was in the hospital at UCLA they turned out the lights at night and the nurses never made a sound other than walking around to check on patients. I'm an Adventist patient myself and I really like my GP but this hospital needs to get some things in better order. The lobby looks dirty, only 1 elevator works right now, there is just a lot going on that needs improvement. Hopefully they get it together and make some positive changes soon.

Today I was released from my physical therapy. Almost four months ago I started my physical…read moretherapy after my total knee replacement. The first month was so difficult for me. It felt like it will never get better. Less than two weeks after my surgery my therapy started & Ron Ah K, PTA (Kaiser at San Dimas St. ) was assigned to me. My recovery was very slow. To be clear it's not Ron's fault. It's the way my body/system works. I'm very weak & leg had been weaker after the surgery. After a month of waiting for pain to get better which it didn't and not making any progress with my straightening & knee bending. It's very frustrating. At times I felt like not going to PT but with Ron's encouragement, patience, guidance, knowledge & professionalism I passed all the days that I felt that I'm not progressing. He had been a big part of my recovery. I'm very glad that he's the one that helped me go though the difficult months I had to go through. I'm much better now, walking without a cane. Still working to get back on my feet & fully recovered. I had joined a gym to continue on my PT. Definitely I will miss going to PT & of course Ron my wonderful therapist, thank you so much for guiding me all through my painful & hardest days. I couldn't have done this without you.

Round 1 The Lab gets 2 stars this location on Stockdale for my appointment I waited in the line marked appointments for 10 minutes with no one even coming out to see if there were customers waiting. 14 minutes in all and 6 customers outside a young man walks out and asks if there are any appointments I raised my hand and he checked me in. fine .. I look on the lab board and I am dead last.. ok I wait about 5 minutes and 3 people go into the lab. I walk back to the counter to ask why I have a 50-55 MJ ute wait when I have an appointment. He said " you have an appointment? I said yes when you asked I raised my hands and you checked me in . The young man checked me in and I shot to the top of the list . 1-2 minutes wait time. Round 2 I get called back and I asked for a butterfly needle because I have issues with the normal size and phlebotomists missing my veins.. Since I figured this out 6 years ago I have never had a problem.... Until now I get a girl/woman who puts in the butterfly and misses my vein.. spills out and reinserts to fine the vein. Blood drawn I get gauze and tape cool.. next day .. pictures below.. Round 3 my 9 yr old daughter goes with my wife and gets blood drawn with a butterfly needle , says the girl missed and had to wiggle it around . My wife was upset and took down her name says she told it to my kids PCD. Guess what ? same phlebotomist. So this is my issue and I've never done this before but the Stockdale location is fine except this one phlebotomist. I wont say her name but it rhymes with Bristal. Kaiser please send this person back to phlebotomy school I have never bruised in the last 6 years and my child bruised once a a child. This is expected but not with such frequency.. I'm sure she misses much more than she hits This is totally unacceptable. I've had blood drawn every 3 months for the last 12 years at the VA and let me tell you they are bad but they don't deal with children so it's different. Head are the pics of my arm I'll do an update my kid is ashamed to go to school with a noticeable bruise on her arm and wears a compression sleeve to hide it.. Luckily she's a bit athletic so her friend think it's cool. Long story but I believe necessary.
