I stopped in here on my way out of the city for a quick breakfast. I picked up an iced chai latte with oat milk and an everything bagel. They have a station where you can customize your coffee and where you can toast your our bagel (which I really appreciate). There is plenty of space if you want to sit down and enjoy your time there and a few spots out front to do the same. The area is absolutely gorgeous and it was so lovely to be able to sit outside and soak it all in.

So let's start with this. I walk in. Barista: Hi. What can I get started for you today? Me: I'll take an oat milk latte. Barista: Great choice. You okay with a double? Me: Absolutely. (What a good ask. I didn't know I wanted a double until I was asked) Barista: How do you feel about cinnamon? Me: I love it! Barista: Great, want a cinnamon filter? Me: Yes please! (I have a guess of what this means. I assume we are pouring my soon to drink delicious coffee through some kind of cinnamon filter. Barista: Here you go. Anything else aside from the chocolate chip cookie. Me: Nah. That's it. So the cookie was delicious and the coffee is heavenly. Normally I'm more a punch me I. The mouth and wreck my guts with intensity when it comes to how I like my coffee, but I think the friendly and lovely sweet vibes of this barista made it into my coffee and by consuming it is now intertwined with my being. I don't mind the subtle notes or the smooth drinkability. V sweet spot. Tones of outlets if your looking to plug in. It's hot humid and beautiful outside and instead of walking into a freezer box, the temp is a magical transition from outside to inside. Deeply comfortable and if you couldn't tell, I love the place, coffee and experience.

Small cute neighborhood coffee shop but sometimes there is a senior man who work there as barista looks so grumpy and not really friendly at all, not sure who he is but I guess he might have to work on a beautiful Sunday so he is not really happy at all. The others ladies was nice and helpful but this man can make you feel uncomfortable the first moment you saw him

Decent little place, simple menu, good coffee. My only complaint is the music which is played way too loud.

Longer: So I was a little hesitant to go to CDM, because it's such the tourist stop and the first joint anyone mentions when they say "beignet". But this was our first stop, morning of first day. The beignets are piled in sugar, they are warm, crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft, warm and delicate inside. I gotta tell you, the texture is just a little different than Cafe Beignet, the Four Seasons, and even the other CDM in the park we tried a few days later. To me, this is the best one. Now, as a coffee person, their black coffee is strong, rich, and a good compliment to the real show - the beignets. But I did not pick up on nearly as much chicory in their chicory coffee as, say, Cafe Beignet's version. Also, I have to let you know the other location in the big park serves a non-chicory version (in addition to NOLA chicory) that is head and shoulders the best coffee we had in New Orleans. But this is the joint. As a bonus, it's colorful, has consistently great street musicians, and has lots of walkable sites as you struggle to waddle around after too many beignets. Gotta go!

The cost is ridiculous for the gift shop when you can go to the grocery store 2 blocks away and get it half price. The atmosphere was loud, service slow, so many people and horrible turnovers. The best coffee I found was at Empanola. Do not waste your time or money.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
