I visited One Sushi with a friend on Sunday around 5pm. We sat at the bar. We were the only people at the restaurant (upon our arrival). I ordered the Chanel Replica (pictured) and my friend ordered the Lady in Red. I absolutely enjoyed my sushi roll. The fresh tuna and fresh scallop with the sauces were absolutely delicious. I tried a piece of my friend's Lady in Red, and I must admit: it'll be the next roll I purchase when I visit One Sushi again. It was so fresh and all of the various eels came together quite nicely. They top it with a piece of jalapeño that really helps bring the heat to this amazing roll. You can't go bad here. One Sushi has become my new favorite sushi restaurant (near Buckhead). My wife and I had our first meal here last night and we will be back. The menu is half cooked items and half sushi. We ordered from the cooked side and will explore the sushi side later. Everything clicked for us. Food was really good (salad with ginger dressing was especially good) and so was the service. The outside tables are pleasant, and important to us, pet friendly. The inside looks very nice/cozy with good bar area and tables. Two additional things pleased us: 1) wine bottles are half price Mon/Tues/Wed--three nights each week. 2) they are not afraid of TV's. We like that as we're sports fans. Somehow they aren't intrusive and do not make the restaurant feel sports bar-ish. The outside deck was showing a baseball playoff game (sound off). Great sushi, friendly staff. I've been twice and was practically the only customer in the restaurant both times (near 5pm) on weeknights. There is no beer on tap but its not exactly a place you go to get beer. They serve mixed drinks primarily but also have canned beers domestic and foreign. Quite a variety of sushi including some that are not raw in addition to more traditional fare. There are also non sushi items on the menu like the beef bulgogi that I would recommend to anyone who isn't in the mood for sushi but does want a protein. read more

The food was very good. My favorite appetizer was the squid leg fries. I would go back to eat them again. The sushis were very unique and had many flavors. I really like the picante and the selfie sushis because they were the most unique. Also, special mention to the samurai because it was very delicious. All the fish was very fresh and tasted very good. The server was very nice and very attentive. The sushi restaurant looked very modern and had enough space for people to sit down and relax. I went yesterday (3/19/25) Found out it was under new management. I called for a take out order. Nothing I wanted was on the menu (items I loved at the old "The One Sushi"). They offered to make "Bang Bang Shrimp" not on the menu....it was horrible. So much breading and no taste like the old menu. They made a Spider Roll also not on the menu and it was so soggy and no taste. Did not taste fresh. Then I tried the Premium Crab Puff. It was a fried puff with nothing hardly inside. I am SO DISAPPOINTED. I loved the old menu and place. It was fun to go there. I will not be going back. It is such a disappointment. And very expensive for poor quality. I wrote an email to the restaurant and told of my experience and have not heard back. The staff was nice and ambiance seems changed. Did not like the two menus. read more

I was literally about to leave a 2 star review until just now. To start off, my husband and I tried to order through Uber eats yesterday. FYI their prices on Uber are the same as the restaurant in person. We've been looking for toro and we really wanted to try the smoked toro from The One Sushi + ($30 for 5 sashimi piece). We placed our order, and 30 mins before breaking fast, the order was cancelled with no explanation. We quickly ordered food from Chin chin and it came just in time. Fast forward to today. We called our order in and went to pick it up. I got home, opened the bag, and *no toro*!!! The chirashi don was really good and plentiful. 15 pieces of beautiful fresh fish for only $35. I wish they had included more wasabi, but it was really good overall. Beautiful presentation, which is rare for a take out order. We ate, then I proceeded to call for a refund. They hung up on me once, then I was passed around to 4 different people (who each asked for my order details) before someone could tell me the refund wouldn't be possible; they said I could come in for the Toro. I was seriously so annoyed at this point. When my husband went, the manager apologized and they gave us a free roll, plus a complimentary tempura, along with the TOROOOO. And it was amazing. I've been craving sushi for a few weeks now and my friend was down to grab sushi with me. I'd been hearing about this place for a few months now. Upon arrival, there was plenty of street parking available. I sat down to look at the menu and ordered a few appetizers. We started with Brussel sprouts and vegetable spring rolls, which were great! I realized that a lot of their sushi was raw. I'm not a raw sushi eater, so I began to narrow it down to the cooked sushi. The first option on the signature roll menu looked amazing so I went ahead and ordered it. I was right, so good and gone within a few min minutes. I also ordered a lychee martini mock tail (with no alcohol), very tasty. Lastly, I got the tempura fried ice cream which was very intimidating but tasty after I picked around the outside shell. Obviously new leadership; the menu was laminated with an industrial grade plastic and the font looked...cheap; the lighting made the place look and feel like a high school gym; minor changes have diminished the aesthetics and it didnt 'feel' at all like the same place. When $90 (with tip) gets a person two beers and 3-rolls, the environ should feel a bit more upscale. No service or food quality complaints. read more

I had food here for the first time. The squid leg fries that are supposed to be deep fried, were not. They were soggy. I have had many types of karaage, many times, at many Japanese restaurants. This is part of that large row of buildings along Dresden that has Kaleidoscope on the corner - The One Sushi + is on the back corner as the building forms an elbow along Caldwell Rd. I found it easy to park on the street but your experience may vary - during prime times this area gets quite busy. I met a few friends at The One for lunch - the double-door entry is on a truncated corner with "The One Sushi +" on a large white sign above the entrance. The interior is industrial-modern which seems to be the norm these days. There are several abstract paintings on the walls, mostly swashes of color. There's a rather expansive bar with back-lit colorful bottles - I liked the atmosphere quite a bit but there are many hard surfaces to expect a high noise level when they get busy. For this lunch it was busy but not too bad. Prices seem to be fairly typical with a pretty heavy emphasis on alcohol based on the menu. My dining companions like sharable rolls over nigiri so I don't have a lot of opinion on the freshness of the fish. I thought the roll combinations good with a few atypical, most priced in the $11-15 range and fairly large. The staff was very efficient and accommodating with our questions and requests. The tempura asparagus was the best I've ever had - the asparagus was super tender. We got the sake flight and a couple other drinks and it was super fun. The meal was outstanding. For a more expensive sushi restaurant, the experience was overall positive. However the staff had little interest in our table. I had to interrupt a staff meeting being held on either side of the bar in order to get the check. Service coming out of the pandemic has suffered tremendously. I'm someone who is always craving sushi all hours of every day but like most people, my budget doesn't support that kind of lifestyle haha. So I was excited to see that The One Sushi+ has lunch combos and happy hour drink specials, even on weekends. My sister and I came to this location on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty at first but people started to trickle in during our time there. We got the $5 marg specials for the lychee and passion fruit margs and you get a 8oz hot sake for checking in with yelp! I could hardly taste the passion fruit in the math because it was overwhelmed with the tequila flavor but the lychee flavor came through stronger so I definitely preferred that one because you could actually taste the fruit flavor. For food, we got the 2 sushi roll combo (salmon roll and crunchy crab roll) which came with miso soup or salad, and we also got the mixed nigiri bento box which came with salad, 4 pieces of spicy tuna, mixed tempura, and rice. The food was good, but I think the 2 sushi roll combo was a little bland, I probably would go for a bento box or a specialty roll next time, but it was a good first experience. The service was a little slow to start which was surprising seeing how we were the only table in the restaurant but it got better as more people began to come in. I'm eager to check out other sushi places in the area but this is a solid choice as well, especially since they have lychee margs! read more

This was my first time here and I ordered to-go. The bartender that tools my order was super nice and patient explaining the different options to me. The taste of the rolls were good and the Play Boy was def better that the Rolls Royce. I don't like imitation crab meat and knew it was in the PB but it was way more than expected. I didn't like how the guy didn't change his gloves when drinking from his waterbottle and went right back to rolling sushi. I would go back Overall, I would go back bc it's conveniently located to me but will try some other spots first. Unfortunately my experience was less pleasant than others and I would probably take a pass versus returning. The service was fantastic, ours was spot-on the entire evening, also different than many of these reviews. Bao buns - they ran out and substituted 2 slider buns (they did the right thing and comped the 2 on the slider rolls) but, while the meat was incredibly tender it was extremely salty and they forgot the cilantro Edemame - served luke warm and undercooked Nigiri - I was very unimpressed with the quality of the fish. It was mushy and was much less enjoyable than other places. For the prices charged, it was extremely disappointing. Rolls - They only have the special rolls on a weekend evenings (a few from the lunch menu could be ordered). Like some other sushi restaurants in Atlanta, they are looking for quantity versus quality. Sushi is supposed to showcase the fish, and the rolls were borderline hot messes...just too much. Not to my liking. Other than the service, a beautiful night outdoors and the company, there was little that got me excited about One Sushi. read more
