The breakfast foods are good, the servers could be a lot nicer. The hostess acted like I was putting here out to help us find a seat. I like this place, the locals seem to like it, I just don't think the employees like it, I hope the management takes note of all our comments. Walking distance from the airport is very convenient, don't loos us we are good customers. read more

Nice people, but the food I ordered (fish special) was a horrific, overcooked nightmare. Add in the guitar player / singer with the music machine and the belly dancer, and you have an interesting experience on your hands. Many of those on hand seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves, and one bad entree does not a final grade make. But the three stars I give them are a gift of good will. read more

Yikes! I' don't have a dog anymore and for the first time I'm glad. Ha My husband found a hair in his food and should have left then. Not being weak of stuff, he decided it could have been one of his...until he found TWO MORE. Waitress was pissy about the whole thing, wanted to know if he wanted ANOTHER! By then I had lost my appetite too. Still was charged full price for the entire meal with barely an apology from the waitress when the "chef" and owner should have been there to apologize profusely and comp the entire meal. Hate ever to leave without even a tip but this was disgraceful. read more

As transplanted NYer's, we are constantly looking for a good gyro. This place had them! Its not much when you walk in but the food makes up for it. The service was good and the waitress had no problems answering our questions about the menu. read more

Wonderful Greek Restaurant! Delicious food and attentive staff. The prices are very fair and the menu is extensive. We enjoyed the Greek Dinner for two and couldn't finish everything. read more

This is a great place for breakfast. Quite reasonable prices. If you choose pancakes instead of toast you get 2 really large cakes. Ellen is a good server. Had the best pineapple ever in a restaurant. And it is loaded with locals. Tell had dinner there before and it is good Greek and Italian. But loved the breakfast read more

we order a couple times a week, they do a great job getting our orders right, PS the food is great as well. Anna read more

We ordered a breakfast of eggs, toast, home fries & kielbasa and a lunch chicken souvlaki sandwich. The breakfast was great! The chicken was good but average tasting. Our service was very good. The restaurant was busy and getting busier but our server was stopping by several times to ensure everything was fine. We will be back read more

"BEST CASUAL DINING ON THE NATURE COAST!!" Terrific Greek, Italian & American food with REALLY low prices, Buy One Get One Free on the entire wine & beer menu - 7 days a week! Great atmostphere & service, and most of all - THAT FOOD!!! My friends told me I wouldn't believe I could get this type of food and ambiance in this part of Florida - I was blown away! The restaurant doesn't look like it would have entertainment, but there is a great pianist/singer for dinner Wednesdays through Saturdays for dinner. You just don't get this combination of great food, music, and atmosphere in these here parts! read more

Although there's nothing cool about the atmosphere, the food has always been good. We went a few days ago, and we're kinda grossed out and probably won't go back. Our waitress (although very good service) looked like she didn't shower or brush her teeth, and then the cook came out and sat in the restaurant while they were slow. Kept scratching her head, shirt was big and yucky bra showing. I think you see where this is going. All of the employees were talking with each other in the register area and customers could clearly hear them. Kinda lost my appetite for this place after going there for a few years now. I'm not a very picky person, but I prefer to see cleanliness on people serving food. I understand it's not an easy job. read more

Stopped by for an early dinner. There were only 2 tables being used. Two servers were on duty. Very large menu with lots of choices. There were dinner specials but we were not told what they. Were. After I tried to order ribs (they weren't ready yet--4:09 pm) I ordered the steak and my husband had the sea food combo. My steak was very under seasoned and tough. My husbands sea food was over cooked. When I heard our waitress tell a table the specials I was not happy. The specials should be listed in the restaurant. read more

I ate in here a few times a while ago. The food wasn't terrible (except for the dirt on the lettuce in my salad, dirty salad yuck, not washing the food is just plain lazy, gross, and taking a chance with someone's health getting them sick) But what was more upsetting was asking my waitress for something that required the poor girl to go into the kitchen where the manager was having a screaming match with the cooks. It was really ugly and disturbed everyone in the restaurant. My party and I were very uncomfortable and that was not the only time. It was just so unprofessional. No thanks. read more

I can't believe a place could go down hill like a rocket, but this place did! My wife and I frequented the olive tree about 4 to 5 times weekly. For whatever reason, the food went from very good to very poor, in every respect. Everything cooked with oil is bitter and not even edible. I mean even the toast or home fries. they apparently smear old oil on the grill when cooking these items. We've had just about everything the place serves, and the last time we went in is the last time we will ever. Started out with a horrible breakfast, and to make it up to me I got a horrible burger. I feel bad writing this review because we like the waitresses, and also I had written a great review only one year ago. There are too many consistent restaurants in the area to go to the Olive Tree. So good bye Olive Tree! read more

Good food, generous portions. I got a Greek salad with chicken and could barely finish it. It was loaded with delicious feta cheese. My husband got a gyro that he said was really good. The first time we went, he got it with french fries, so many he couldn't finish them, so this time he got just the sandwich, and was satisfied. Prices are reasonable. I saw the another review complaining about the service and walking out. I haven't seen or experienced anything like that. The service was fine. read more

Excellent breakfast and we went back for lunch for very good Gyros. Friendly, casual staff. Reasonably priced.

"Tour of Greece" for two was amazing, our server was very generous and helpful. Gyro meat was very good.

I ordered Prime Rib as it was a special. The greek salad was good, the complimentary crab cake appetizer was just ok. My Prime Rib was mostly fat and I could not even chew it. When I told the waitress about my prime rib she said she would replace it if I wanted. I told her I had lost my appetite so no thank you. She said she would send the manager over. The manager never showed. The waitress came back with the bill and said she took 20% off. I was amazed they still wanted to charge me for something I would not even give to a dog. At that point I was very disappointed the manager never had the decency to care about her customers. I did not want to get in to an argument with the waitress as she was still being very nice so we decided to pay the bill and leave but we will not go back. On a side note the place is really in need of an update. It's very drab inside and not very appealing. read more

Great authentic Greek food. Had the tour platter...everything was very tasty, and you could tell they care about the quality of food served. Waitress was also very nice and attentive. Looking forward to coming again. read more

We discovered this place about 3 years ago and have eaten there about 12 times. The food is wonderful and the service has always been very good. The prices are very reasonable and my husband appreciates the veteran discount. We ate there last night and another time 2 weeks ago. Tho' the food was delicious, our server was so disappointing. The previous visit, she failed to bring us our complimentary appetizer and our dinner rolls. We thought maybe things had changed. Last night, she asked if we wanted our crab ball appetizer and we said, "yes!", but they never arrived, nor our dinner rolls. The place wasn't overly busy, but she failed to drop by to see how we were doing. I learned her name was Katie due to the gentleman at the counter having to call her to get his check. I'm a working girl and really look forward to Friday day night with my husband...I was very disappointed. My husband even talked with her afterwards and explained to her why he wasn't leaving a tip. He normally is a great tipper. We decided that we will take a break from the Olive Tree for awhile until my husband can't get rid of his craving for lamb chops...theirs are the best. Hopefully my review won't hurt their restaurant, but Katie needs to find another profession. Just my opinion. read more
