We stopped in on Mother's Day after church because we saw the "Open" sign. They were very accommodating even though it was a holiday. My husband and I tried the Tangines since I had never had one and it is one of their specialties. Oh My! They were both fabulous. Tangine is a Moroccan style of roasting meat, vegetables and even bits of fruit in a inverted funnel-shaped pot with a unique blend of Mediterranean spices. I had the steak and my husband had the lamb. They use only organic and heirloom vegetables and make all their recipes authentically from scratch. You can tell when you taste it. It was fun to taste each morsel. There were peppers, carrots, mushroom, green olives, Greek olives, walnuts, tomatoes, feta cheese and tiny bits of mango all on a luscious curry and greek/Mediterranean sauce over orzo pasta. There is also other intriguing things to try on their standard menu as well as Greek favorites, appetizers such as saganaki and vegetarian options. (Wish I had taken a photo of the menu. I definitely can't wait to go back) The hostess also mentioned they offer cooking classes which I want to try as well. Dessert offered was homemade Gelato. Salted caramel and coconut (as well as homemade vanilla) were excellent. I bet they rotate those flavors from time to time. Comfy seating. Pleasant atmosphere. Authentically made food. I hope they succeed as I think everyone should give them a try. Hours are currently limited to 3 days on weekend. I took my parents to dinner there for my father's birthday. Before we completed our meal, myself and my friend became very ill. We had to cut the meal short as all four of us were starting to get sick at our table. We asked a few times for the check and finally had to go up to the counter in order to leave quickly. We told them we were getting sick and they just shrugged it off. We were not asking for a refund or a discount - we just wanted to let them know something wasn't right. They truly didn't care and didn't want to hear it. We all made it home just in time to empty the contents of what we'd eaten. Responding update: We had reservations. It was February 2023 under the name of Loving. It was our first and least time we'd ever been there. We all shared the appetizers: dolmades, and calamari. None of us had eaten that day prior to dining at your restaurant. None of us were able to eat our entrees we had ordered by the time they arrived... Which was over an hour or more by then. II gave it a 1 as it was cute inside. But if you want Greek or Mediterranean food, keep driving to Tarpon Springs. So much hype and drama about having to make reservations and such small windows for service. The website and pictures look great but in reality the food is so so. I had Greek Town in Chicago and several suburbs with Greek restaurants. The food here was NOTHING like the pictures or the description on the menu. If you have ever been to a Greek restaurant that has a 15 page menu that's the quality you get here. The service was awful, the owner acted as if she was doing us a favor by taking our order. The food was awful, Spanakopita dip was chopped frozen spinach in a sauce that tasted like cream of chicken and looked like slop. The Gyro was not shaved, more like a thin hamburger Pattie. The Gorgonzola Pork was mostly Ziti noodles from a big box store and the sauce was cream of mushroom soup with Gorgonzola cheese. Got to hand it to the owner for her marketing, makes it look really special. She offers cooking classes? She needs to take some. Sad. read more

A family run local restaurant with warm and friendly people. They serve Greek cuisine . We chanced upon this place because we were looking for Vegetarian options for my husband. They have good number of Vegetarian options. We tried the Gyros that come with a side of home fries . The Gyros were absolutely delicious . The pita bread was light, warm and fluffy and the stuffing was fresh and well seasoned combined with the creamy tatziki sauce. This is a healthy comfort food! The fries were crisp and perfectly cooked. When we entered, we also saw a refrigerator shelf with desserts - we asked for Tiramisu as it looked welcoming . However, the owner recommended the Bailey's cheesecake instead as that's the most popular dessert - we were not disappointed at all! I highly recommend that if you ever visit! The owner said that covid has caused a lot disruption in their business but thankful for the people who visit. The food is great and they have a good amount of seating to keep it socially distant. I almost didn't come here because of all the negative reviews, but it ended up being the *best* restaurant I've been to since moving to the area several months ago. The entire establishment deserves praise for their attention to quality and efficiency. The Atlas salad was delicious topped with the perfectly grilled chicken. What a find for us in our new circle. Just moved to Inverness 3 months ago and headed to Crystal River yesterday to hit the Depot. Went online to find a new place to eat that was on the way. Came across Taverna Manos and decided to give it a try. That turned out to be a great decision. The food was just fabulous! Hubby got the chicken parm and loved it. I had been craving a gyro, after being extremely disappointed in the last one I ordered elsewhere, and this bad boy was the best I've ever had. An extremely unexpected, absolutely delicious surprise awaited us at this little Mediterranean restaurant that we have driven by for years without giving it a second thought. Kicking ourselves now! I think because the sign is small and it's located on a curve on a busy highway, it's just so easy to go by it and not turn back. The outside is a cute but small blue and white building- very reminiscent of the Greek buildings that we see on travel shows. The interior of the restaurant is very nicely decorated to go with their Mediterranean menu. Wait staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu. Our waitress Sam (probably short for Samantha) offered some suggestions which we gladly agreed to. Our appetizer was the Mediterranean sample plate of Hummus and Tzatziki dips. Served with warm pita wedges to dip in to our heart's content, they were excellent and plentiful. Hummus was very garlicky and since Hubby and I adore garlic it was right up our tastebud alley. For those who don't enjoy garlic like us, it might seem too overpowering. The Tzatziki dip was loaded with shredded cucumber, mint, garlic (not too much) that's mixed in the thick Greek yogurt. Another winner! Our entrees came with a choice of house salad or soup of the day. Hubby chose the Greek lemon chicken soup with chunks of chicken and orzo pasta in a delightful broth with a hint of lemon. He LOVED it. I opted for the salad with homemade Greek dressing. Very good salad dressing with small chunks of Feta cheese throughout. Our entrees however were the star of the meal. My entree was the Santorini Shrimp. Sauteed shrimp with fresh spinach and diced tomatoes in a creamy feta sauce served over angel hair pasta. Absolutely scrumptious! I had 8 jumbo shrimp in my pasta dish. It was cooked to perfection! I couldn't stop eating it! Hubby had the Chicken Gorgonzola Penne dish. Sauteed chicken, mushrooms and bacon in a Gorgonzola sauce over penne pasta. He totally loved it. Portions are great, food was excellent and service was above average. If you go away hungry - it's your fault. A hidden and un-noticed gem in our county! My wife and I moved to Citrus County in October 2022. We have been to most of the restaurants in the area. Until 2 weeks age, we never realized the restaurant was here. Too bad for us. On Friday September 14th, we finally ate here. Absolutely fantastic. Our meals were the best meals we have had since we moved here. The service was fantastic. Our waitress, the owner, was attentive and made good recommendations. Atmosphere was very nice, music was low key and perfect for a nice dinner. Very quaint inside. Food came out quickly, was delicious, and was enough to take some home for the next day. Only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so make your reservation early. Wow! Hidden away on a curve in the road that you can easily pass by ,slow down and try this place because the food here is more then 5 stars. Our waitress Sam was awesome in knowledge of the food and some of the best service we ever had. For starters I had the Lemon Chicken soup and you can tell the love and hard work they put into making it. Rich and thick, loaded with chicken and orzo pasta with a nice hint of lemon that doesn't overpower the broth. If you like garlic then you need to try the garlic hummus- no vampires hanging around here or you after you eat it. I had the Gorgonzola Cream sauce Chicken & crumbled bacon over al dente Penne one of the best dishes I have had in years. Wife had a beautiful dish of Shrimp Santorini with 8 jumbo shrimp in a Feta cheese cream sauce with al dente Angel hair. Very nice decorative little restaurant and $$$ but worth every penny! This was a very nice place, and I look forward to returning. Most of the dinners are Italian, but they do have a few Greek gyro meals. The gyro meet is very tender with good flavor, not greasy like so many places. The Hercules salad was large and covered with gyro meat. The homemade Greek dressing was excellent. The gyro sandwich is so big that it is served on a little rack to hold it in place while you prepare yourself for the eating adventure. The sauce and fillings were extraordinary. My only disappointment was the wine list. The only red Greek wine was a syrupy sweet wine. The Italian wines were lackluster. Most were American wines of the caliber of William Hill $5 a bottle harsh Cabernet. If they get a better wine list I will go to 5 stars for this cute place in a desert of good restaurants. So get a beer instead and go enjoy! read more

Salad was doused with dressing hence most of my 15 dollar salad was trash. Which is sad. It would have been better if I did it my self. We really enjoyed this restaurant, service was phenomenal. Everything came out fast and made to order. We tried the calamari, I can't wait to go back and have this again! Also the artichoke dip appetizer with pita was awesome!!! You can get extra pita for only .75 cents! The chicken Parmesan was good, we ordered it over Alfredo though and it was a $5 per meal up charge which I thought was a little steep just to switch out pastas. But it was good! Bread is super yummy! We also had the Kaluha cheesecake and it tasted of coffee but not of alcohol. I typically like to taste alcohol when getting a dessert like that, like a rum sauce or whatever. Overall I would go back many times over. It was my first time and I want to explore their menu more! Also the large sangria is worth it. It's not too sweet and it was great with the meal! This place has SO much potential for being an incredibly popular restaurant! My parents and I decided to give it a try about a month ago. My party and another group were the only ones there, which was confusing to say the least. Our server was such a delight, and the food was absolutely delicious. Live music was playing and the mediterranean-style decor made it look all the more friendly. I ordered the moussaka, while my parents had shrimp scampi and the shrimp fra diavolo. They loved their dishes, and I personally wish I could thank the chef that made my dish. After living in Greece for 4 months, I must say my love for moussaka has been rekindled! The béchamel sauce was perfect. Simply scrumptious! We also shared an amazing chocolate cake for dessert. Mmmm... Called a "Mediterranean" restaurant but I think that means "drowned in cheesy sauce." My Lemon chicken piccata was basically an a cheesy Alfredo sauce w cut up chicken in it.
