One of these days, I'm going to order the pizza. It looks delicious. On this particular evening, we were short on time, though, so ordered a panini, steak quesadilla, and nachos. The nachos were great. Loved the fact that they were in a ring instead of a pile. Every chip had salsa on it. The Panini's were good as well, but it took forever for us to get our food. We were 15 minutes late getting to the gardens after dinner, and we left with plenty of time. Cozy pub atmosphere. Cheery. Super convenient location, just stop in when you have time to sit for a while.

I am updating my reviews to reflect my changing opinion about Old Goat. I still love the food, and if you can get in there and try it, you should. What's new: take out is a no go, frequently, because of a lack of staffing or a shortage of dough. Store hours are new- closed Tuesdays and possibly more in the future- again staffing issues. Their website- absolutely terrible and non-useful- who even updates it or their social media? No clue, but I'll tell you what, whoever owns this place had better get it together and invest into the business and consider paying people more money to work there. Nugget: the people that do work there are still very pleasant and are awesome people to get to know.

My son visited Maine from Hawaii and I could not think of a more authentic place for lunch and a craft beer experience than The Old Goat. The moment we entered we were greeted by the friendly bartender, placed our order and asked for a cribbage board While we enjoyed a fiddlehead beer we enjoyed the sun filled table by the window. The margarita pizza was fresh dough and mozzarella topped with fresh tomato's and basil. The Old Goat exceeded expectations!!!

What a great quaint pub on Main St. in Richmond. Friends rave about the pizza here, so I ordered a large double pepperoni for take out. A 16" double topping pizza was $23. It was New York style and perfectly baked. Crispy crust, well proportioned (sauce, cheese, and pepperoni) and delicious. Don't sleep on this place! Highly recommend!!

Blue Dr Mc Gillicutty shots with one of the locals. Never had before.

A fun place to spend an evening . Drinks, bar food and friendly crowd. Pizza was great

Place is really great, had never been and after so many people telling me to go had to try it. Pizza we ordered was absolutely delicious. She got a turkey panini and it was also fantastic. Gray friendly staff and overall good place, we will be back plenty since we are only 15 min away now.

I would love to know where they get the decor for this place. I'd imagine a lot of flea markets (fabulous ones)? It's hard to pick my favorite decor item because there are so many, but it's somewhere between the chairs shaped like hands and the giant silver octopus tentacle under the T.V. Ooo and the corner with all the clowns! Drinks are strong and cheap. The bartenders are friendly. There's a patio, but it's a bit small. There are plenty of comfy chairs/couches. They have live music pretty often, so if that's your thing, you'll be happy there on weekend nights. The only thing is the space is kind of small for live music, so it can get really loud. This is an excellent chill option if you're in Hallowell and want to skip bars that tend to get a bit fratty like The Quarry Taproom. Highly recommend!

Friends of ours wanted to play some pool after we had dinner nearby at Lucky Garden, so we did exactly that. It was a slow night and no one was waiting for the table, so we played about 4 or 5 games and had a lovely time. The decor is awesome, the bar is clean, and the staff were friendly. I've always had a good time here, and I enjoy the artwork too!

Everything was aesthetically pleasing but I did find the muscles overly sauced with a little too much salt for my palette. The lobster flatbread was fine but nothing spectacular since the flatbread was not made there. Lobster meat and corn were sporadically covering the bread. Very good for a shared appetizer. Raviolis were great but since they were stuffed with peas and to have them with pea sauce is a little bit too much but again it was tasty. The scallop dish was on the pricey side for just three large scallops with pea sauce. Apparently they use their homegrown peas in the garden which is organically good. Crab cakes were delicious. There's a little band playing in the pub on Sunday nights. Good place to go to eat after checking in the hotel.
