But she did not disclose there will be a up charge... so not sure why she asked me options that weren't included in the combo I ordered. So I had that retinal charge on the check. They have auto gratuity on all checks. Food was good for fried food. My husband enjoyed his daiquiri but it was really sweet. The atmosphere was not what I expected pretty loud for such a small spot, but my husband enjoyed the music. So I would put this almost as a lounge category rather than a traditional sports bar. Overall I don't think the amount of food was appropriate for the price. Especially the fact that those mozzarella sticks were $10 and only included 4 thats $2.50 a piece. It just wasn't my vibe, but it wasn't bad overall

None of the usuals sounded appetizing so I hopped on Yelp for suggestions. Luckily, The Addy popped up in my top 3 choices, the reviews looked great and the hot lemon pepper catfish grabbed my attention. Upon arrival, I saw that it was a cozy place, nestled between a few other businesses in a strip mall situation. The greeter was very polite and sat me quickly. I didn't take any photos inside because it felt intimate and I didn't want to film anyone without their consent. Anywho, I ordered the smash burger, fries and one hot lemon pepper catfish (not swai) fillet. Food was fantastic and the portion size was great. They do add 18% gratuity to every check no matter the size of your party. I enjoyed my solo experience and I'll be sure to swing back by next time I'm in the area.

We drove out, paid for parking, and walked up expecting to grab dinner and watch the Mexico World Cup match, only to be told at the door that they had "just started charging admission for the Mexico games." Mind you, we came to Texas Live to see Mexico vs S Korea, USA vs AUS, USA vs HERZ, and were not charged. Seriously? If you're going to change your policy and charge people just to enter your venue to eat and watch a game, the least you can do is make that crystal clear before people spend money on parking. It was not on their website so this is UNACCEPTABLE! AND why just the Mexico games? I'd say that was predatory at the least. If it was solely about safety, let who arrives be served, but you took advantage and cost us $ AND inconvenience. DO BETTER!

Very clean yet I would still consider it a dive bar. Drinks are cheap and there's plenty of booze to choose from all the way from top shelf liquors to wells when rent is due. I went there several times, and because they did not know me, I had to give them my debit card…read more After I had been there a few times, they just let me run a cash tab. I found two charges on my bank statement, from the times they had held my card, even though I had paid in cash. I had not signed the receipt. Last time I was in there, the "night manager", asked me for my card. I told her I couldn't do that, since twice, I had been charged even though I had paid cash. Her response was "I still have to have the card because "I don't know you". She did not bother to check with any of the other bartenders, to ask about serving me previously. She also did not bother to even look the least bit concerned about the charges. She took the beer with both hands, raised her voice somewhat and said "then you can't drink here", making sure to inject some drama. The whole encounter demonstrated a COMPLETE lack of people skills, and an immediate willingness to be confrontational with regard to anything other than, "SHE" did not know me, without any attempt to do anything other than bully, control, and disregard the problem with the card being charged. You have to go out of your way to disrespect somebody to treat them that way, She was right about not drinking there. Putting someone that lacking in people skills coupled with a personality quick to escalate to confrontation in a management position, tells me all I need to know.

The salsa was a watery mess and a little hot for obvious reasons, unfortunately not tasty. Got a burger and fries. Speaking of beers, this local Arlington brewery has several that give you a good buzz with a unique taste. The Do I Make you Thorny sour ale has a raspberry touch to it and a pleasure to sip. The other beer we tasted is the Love is an alien IPA. This is smooth with a good hoppy kick. The shortthorn blonde ale was another one we wanted but sadly, sold out. The menu had plenty of IPAs to taste so they specialize in hoppy beers. I heard the pizza here is fantastic so that'll be something to try for next time along with other beers. Overall, there's good vibes here with a diverse demographic of people who enjoy beer, pizza, and hanging out. I can get down with that.

After spending a Friday night here, I can see why. Drinks are cheap, there's pool and darts here, plenty of seating, comfort bar eats, friendly bartenders, and an atmosphere that screams Texas and college town. I was surprised that it wasn't as packed as I expected a college town bar to be on a Friday night. Since it was mid April, maybe there was an event or something else occurring? Anyways, no food was ordered here, just a steady stream of vodka sodas which my friend and I guzzled down. I've been told that the irish nachos are a must order as that's what this place is famous for. I'll definitely need to try those when we venture back out to this spot. Definitely a favorite amongst Arlingtonians. Despite all the cowboys memorabilia, it left a good impression on me.
