Wah wah wah! Another hidden gem!…read more The food here is so good and there's quite a few unique dishes!! Seafood is very fresh and tasty. The deep fried tofu is bomb! Super silky and smooth, without a chewy skin. The salted egg yolk shrimps are coated evenly and the shells are edible! The mantis prawns are very juicy and fresh. I also loved the clams soup and the pork chops! Must haves: salted egg yolk shrimps, deep fried tofu, and mantis prawns. Prices are also very fair. Probably even cheaper than many other places that aren't as good! I saw a few michelin signs on the walls, but I'm not sure if it's referring to them or the alcohol they're promoting. But I do think their food is good enough to be Michelin!! It is quite a busy place so be sure to book a reservation!

Also known as "Hing Gung" (慶功), it literally means to celebrate and to reward the hard work the crew put into the show. Much like sik siu, since the eaters are of high exertion, the food would most naturally be as trashy as can be~ Healthy eaters might want to hit the return button now as the foods may be despicably fattening. Deep fried is almost the golden rule for every trashy food, even in Hong Kong; the famous shrimp toast is actually minced shrimp smeared on a piece of bread and deep fried to crunchy perfection; and you got it, the piece of bread is soaked with grease. To make it even more damaging, mayonnaise is served on the side for you to dip the toast in. Damaging as it seems, but it is also very gratifying and is often the dish that is cleared the soonest. Hing Gung is often an event of the nights and there aren't a lot of joint cater to this batch of customers at this time of the day. I still remember walking into this shop with the waiter asking us to wait outside the shop at 11 in the evening, while they were trying hard to rearrange the tables to sit the 15 of us down. For a restaurant that is still crowded towards midnight, you know they must have done something right.

Go early with a reservation to enjoy some peace and quiet (it is quite popular among tourists...) Ask for balcony seats when you make your reservations. I always order the mussels in garlic cream sauce. The mussels are usually plump and juicy and I love dipping the garlic bread in the sauce. If I had to complain, there is never enough bread so we always order another as a side. The seafood platter is also very pleasing to the eyes and looks great in pictures. Nevertheless, I think you can get better value for the money elsewhere. Open a bottle of wine and enjoy a relaxing morning with your buddies!

There are three levels of seating, with outdoor seating on the ground floor, indoor seating on the first floor and half indoor, half outdoor seating on the second floor. The view is beautiful from the second floor balcony, but the indoor half (with the doors open to balcony and a fan supplying most of the cool air) can get kind of hot without the perk of having the sea view. Food wise, it was decent, but definitely overpriced. I got the Greek salad (HK$112), which was a rather small portion but ingredients tasted fresh. The African chicken, at HK$200+, was definitely not satisfying or filling enough for its price, although again taste was pretty good. The lunch special, fish and chips, followed the same theme - pretty good, small portion considering the price.

Came here on a Saturday nite to meet up with some local friends for dinner. It was a good thing…read morethey made reservations cause the place was packed. However, if you hadn't made a reservation and couldn't get in, there's plenty of other restaurants in what is called food street with each one offering a patio as well. Since food street is like a wide alley that runs between all these buildings that house high-end boutiques on the ground floors, you would not be subjected to the noise and exhaust of HK traffic. The layout is quite casual, with a mix of couples and families. The menu is quite extensive with fresh oysters from different countries. We sampled two different varieties from Ireland. There's also a tapas page offering things from garlic shrimps to iberico ham. We ordered the foie gras sandwiched between toasts. It was quite good if a little rich. One of our friends had a soup of the day which was butter squash. It came with a piece of tomato-rubbed toast, Spanish style. He liked it. We also ordered a Caesar salad for two which was large enough for the four of us to sample. A solid salad but lacked a bit of dressing. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he brought out more dressing on the side. For our mains, my GF and one of our friends ordered ordered the Iberico pork chops grilled and served with roasted potatoes and half a head of roasted garlic. The two chops were juicy and tender with a hint of sweetness from the balsamic glaze. The chops were part of the daily special which I also ordered off. I had a pasta with prawns and scallops. The pasta was tasty with three large prawns. My only quibble would be that I wish there were more scallops as I only got two. Our other friend ordered off the menu and had a seafood stew that featured clams, mussels, scallops, and half a lobster. It was huge. Now I know where my scallops went! All in all, a nice meal in a nice setting without breaking the bank.

Happy hour until 8pm! Menu consists of malt whiskeys,…read moremocktails/cocktails, draught beers, bottled beers, and craft beers; coffees and teas. Not a huge selection in my opinion but be sure to take a look at the menu at the front. Regular menu has a lot more to offer along with food.

The dishes I must order here are their cheesy lobster with longevity noodles and their pepper salt pissing shrimp. Oh so good. My mouth is watering now just writing about it! And that night I went they also had razor clams as well! Yum! Service was great. The people were really friendly. The restaurant was busy on a weeknight as well. It's easy to find, near Jordan station located inside a plaza. Just take the elevator 7/F I think? and it'll take you straight there. Most of all their prices are very reasonable! You can't get this quality and taste for this price anywhere else; that's why I keep coming back. Writing this review makes me happy because I can relive this meal. :-)
